We had lunch and i went back to my room to see if any more information had come through. It was still the same.I had the rest of the evening to do whatever i want before my first delivery; S.H.E.I.L.D can't know about this at all as i would be the double agent and no one would trust me again.But i had to.Right?
I made sure i closed my tabs not leaving any evidence and headed downstairs to check up on Bruce.He was laughing around with Karen which i hated, if Bruce is friends with her then fair enough they have a lot in common but i will never call her a friend.
I went in the kitchen and everyone was talking not even realised i walked in the room, i felt isolated but i liked it that way.I just headed back to my room alone and started sharpening my knifes incase i needed them later.
-A few hours later-
I got ready hiding my knifes on me as best as i could whilst thinking of an excuse of why i would have to leave so late, i would just have to say i'm going on another mission.I didn't wear my suit as i feel like it would be unnecessary all i had to do is pickup and drop of a parcel.I had no idea what was in it but all that mattered to me was Bruce's safety.
I made my way downstairs with the keys of one of Tony's spare cars that he didn't drive and walked into the lab to tell only Bruce that i was going on a mission but i couldn't tell him the truth.I walked in Karen still by his side, i ushered Bruce over whispering "Hi i'm just going to be gone for a few hours on a mission please keep it a secret and don't worry it's safe".
"Ok be safe just call me if you're in any danger"He said whispering back.I hugged him and kissing him softly then walking out closing the door hopefully Karen not following. I made my way to the car and started driving away.I really hope this isn't a set up but i feel like if they wanted to take me they would have had the chance.
I made my way to were i was picking up the package and then i had roughly 10 minutes to get it to the drop off spot.I drove to the coordinates and there was a guy outside a warehouse; i walked over to him and said the code word i needed to say and he handed me a briefcase.
I started my drive to the car park and i could tell i was going to be a few minutes late, this isn't a good first impression. I got there eventually only two minutes late but that could be two very important minutes. I parked up carrying the briefcase walking out to this dodgy looking van it had to be them.I walked up to them and they rolled down their window. "You're late"They stated.
"I had to wait to collect it"I replied.
"Don't be late again"They said aggressively taking the case and driving off.This went somewhat smoother than anticipated.
I got back in my car and started heading home, i drove back to the facility parking up making sure nothing looked suspicious.I had roughly been an hour so i wasn't that long.I got out the car walking back into the building walking back to check on Bruce.I went in the lab and they were still working. "Hey big guy"I said smiling walking up to him.
"We're a bit busy can you go away"Karen stated. My smile slightly faded saying "Bruce?"
"Um we are a bit busy can we talk later?"He replied barely focusing on me.
"Uh yeh sure"I said turning away disappointed as i've just come back from a mission and he doesn't really care.I just sighed walking into the kitchen and grabbing something to eat and walking upstairs to my room, i scrolled through my phone for a bit and it started getting late and Bruce still wasn't here.I went back downstairs into the lab and Tony was now also there.
I just lingered in and they were all just working away, Karen was the only one who spotted me and gave me a smug smile.What a bitch.I just decided it's just best to leave them alone, i wanted some of my own space anyway.
I got in bed putting on one of Bruce's jumpers and handcuffing myself to the bed as it would help me sleep, i just assumed i would wake up to Bruce coming in my room.
....
I woke up hazily, i turned over and Bruce wasn't there he must've stayed up all night. I looked at my wrist and it was bloody again.Great.I uncuffed myself and went to the bathroom cleaning up the cut by myself it looked worse than last time.
I got changed and made my way downstairs checking on Bruce, i walked into the lab and Tony,Bruce and Karen were all there drinking coffee.I walked in unnoticed but Bruce looked exhausted so i would have to get him out of it.
"Bruce?"I stated as everyone payed attention looking at me.
"Yeh"He stated looking at me.
"Come here"I asked. He wondered over and i hugged him, he rested his head on my shoulder heavily and then i brought him out looking into his eyes saying "Why didn't you come up to bed last night; you look exhausted".
"Sorry i was just busy"He replied tiredly.
"Ok you should get some rest"I stated taking him with me out the door.
"Wait we're nearly done, i'll speak to you straight after i promise"He said taking my hands in his.He then felt the bandage on my wrist "Nat your wrist!"He stated holding my arm.
"It's just from the handcuffs"I whispered quietly pulling him with me.
"Wait i need to stay"He said.I looked over at Tony for reassurance and he nodded.
I sighed "Ok fine but promise you'll get some rest"I replied.
"I promise"He said smiling.
I hugged him and he walked back off.I looked at phone and i had got a text from Alexei last night saying 'Well done for delivering the package even though you were late, there will be another one in a few days so watch out for my message' I sighed replying with 'Ok will do'.
I went to see Wanda but she looked busy talking with Vision, she did notice me enter the room though.I started walking away until she used her powers lifting me over to her."What's wrong?"She replied as she could read what emotion i was feeling.
"Oh it's nothing really"I replied.
"You can tell me anything"She replied.
"I'll let you two talk"Vision stated walking away.
She waited for me to start speaking. "It's just something stupid that's happened before but it felt different".I started
"What is it?"She insisted.
"Uhh ok well i went out last night so i told Bruce and he was worrying about me but when i came back i wanted to just chill out with him but he just said he was busy and for me to go away and barely acknowledged me and said he was going to talk with me later so i just went up waiting for him for a few hours, i later went back down but they were all working away still and Karen was the only one who recognised me and gave me the smuggest smile so i just decided to leave them alone thinking he would come up later.So i went to sleep and when i woke up he wasn't there i went back to check on him and he's been up all night so i tried to let him leave as he was exhausted but he insisted on staying as he'd nearly finished apparently, i don't know he just seems off"I replied.
"Ok well i'm sure it's nothing major, he'll come around soon if you want i'll keep an eye out"She replied.
"No it's fine i'll just sort it out"I said.
"If that's what you want" she said smiling .
"Thankyou anyway"I said getting up and walking away.
