It landed on...Bruce thank God.
Bruce's face lit up but also looked nervous at the same time because he didn't like everyone watching him.
"I want to see some tongue"Clint stated. I gave him a death stare and got up and led Bruce to the kitchen, that way it was a more private.
I sat up on the kitchen counter i then brought him into a strong passionate kiss as i ran my fingers through his curly hair, he kissed me back passionately to wrapping his arms around my waist.When the kiss stopped we were both out of breath looking into each others eyes.
"You can sit back down now"I stated still looking into Bruce's eyes, he then turned around as everyone was creeping back to their seats as they had moved closer.
"We should have known".Clint stated. I looked back at Bruce and he was all flustered, i smiled at him for reassurance.
"Well i think we should wrap it up guys lets make a toast for nat".Tony stated as everyone picked up their drinks, as i picked up my water.
Tony realised saying "Nat why are you drinking water?, you always drink alcohol, ooo let me guess...you're on a diet..."i was about to respond saying but then said"...ahhh are you pregnant?"
My face dropped i could feel everyone's eyes on me, i never told them i could never get pregnant however this wasn't the time or the place, i could feel tears stinging in my eyes, so i got up and left to my room.
Everyone went silent as Bruce responded "You shouldn't have said that!" As he came to follow me.
I walked into my room and leaned against the door sliding down as tears fell down my cheeks, i wanted this party to let me take a break of thinking about anything. I know it wasn't Tony's fault because he didn't know but it just crushed me because i've always wanted a child and it's hard to know i can't have one on my own.
Then i heard a knock on my door.
I responded "Go away"as i didn't want to talk to anyone.But when Bruce called "Nat it's me" I couldn't resist, i quickly opened the door letting him in as i gave him a big hug and i never wanted to let go.
I replied saying "I'm sorry i overreacted, it's not Tony's fault he didn't know." I said sorrowfully as a tear ran down my cheek.
"Hey none of this is you're fault ok, you have nothing to be sorry for".Bruce responded reassuringly.
I sighed deeply and went into the bathroom to wash off all my makeup i had barely any on however it was still a pain to get off.I washed my face and brushed my teeth and decided to get out of my dress and just go to sleep, i walked into my room and Bruce was stood there patiently.
I didn't care if he saw me naked anymore so i took my dress off and started put on some shorts and a tank top, i looked back at Bruce as he was turned stood facing the door.He turned back around and said "I should probably head off now or do you want me to-"
"Stay"I cut him off, "I should probably get some pyjamas on"he replied.
"No it's ok come here".He walked over to me taking his shoes and socks off then i took is jacket off and took his tie of as he undid his buttons of his shirt. I undid his belt as he pulled his trousers down so he was just left in his boxers.
I pulled him into bed and hugged him laying on his chest, i then remembered he was claustrophobic so i lifted my head saying "Sorry".
He replied saying "it's ok" allowing for me to lay back on his chest.
I whispered "night" as he whispered "goodnight" back.
I woke up and looked at my phone it was 6am, i looked over at Bruce as he was still soundly asleep, i got up as quietly as possible, and started getting ready for the day i put some jeans and a t-shirt on and washed my face when i walked back in the room, Bruce was getting his clothes back on.
"Morning"I said as i ran my fingers through his curly hair.
"Morning" he replied as he got up and kissed me on the head."How are you?"he continued.
"I'm alright, i should probably address to everyone what happened".I replied looking at the ground.
Bruce replied saying "Hey everyone will understand".He said kindly lifting my head up and kissing me softly on the lips.
I walked out my room and Bruce went back to his to get changed.I walked down stairs and most of the team were there, they saw me as i awkwardly went to get a glass of water. I turned back around took a deep breath and walked closer to the living room, i sat on a chair and addressed the situation,
"So your probably wondering, why i overreacted last night, it's none of your guys's fault, Tony it wasn't your fault i should have told you sooner, well last night i just wanted to forget everything about my past completely and have a fun night, however the thing is umm....when you mentioned about the pregnancy thing, the truth is i- i can't get pregnant...because the red room took that from me by having a 'graduation ceremony' so i was sterilised so there's a minor chance i get ever have kids, the one thing more important then..a mission".I said with a big sigh looking down.
Everyone went so silent you could hear a pin drop.
