I woke up, my eyes readjusting to where i was, i could hear the quinjet engines roaring and muffled talking outside the room.I didn't have a nightmare! I don't know if it was where i was sleeping or how i slept or even if it was Bruce's hug (Now i'm jumping to conclusions).
I got up my legs still feeling weak but i could manage to get to the door, and to see if there was any food because i was starving. As i walked through the door everyone looked at me to see how i was doing, so i just said "hi guys, how long until we get home?" i questioned trying to get the attention away from me.
Clint turned around from the pilots chair and said "about 2 hours". I nodded my head and sat down next to Bruce and asked "Does anyone have any food?" everyone shook their heads, of course they didn't because a group of 5 boys will eat anything and everything if they're hungry enough. "Great". I said putting my head in my hands as i felt like i was going to starve to death. Everyone in the room went quiet as they felt bad.
"I might have something in my bag". Bruce said nervously breaking the silence.I looked at him with hope as he opened his bag and in it there was a peanut butter sandwich wrapped up in some tin foil. "I know it's not much" he said. I got up giving him a big hug and said "It's perfect". I sat down and happily munched on my sandwich until there was turbulence and i dropped it.
I just stared at it on the floor in disbelief as everyone was laughing at me apart from Bruce. I gave them all death stares and their smiles began to fade.A hungry black widow was not something you want to face.
I went to pick it back up from the floor as quickly as possible to put it in the bin, until my burn like ache occurred on my side and i fell to the floor in pain .(Today is really not my day).
Everyone quickly got up from their seats especially Bruce as he knelt next to me asking "what's wrong?".I replied "It's my side" i replied through gritted teeth.Bruce knew what i meant as it was from a flashback i had that told him about."Steve get some some ice, it might help"Bruce asked.Even though no one had a clue what was happening to me.Not even i did. "We'll get it looked at when we get back ok" he said whilst pushing my hair behind my ear.He is honestly too nice to me.
Bruce put the ice on top of my suit as i sighed a relief as it felt much better, however it would be easier if i took it off but there was no extra clothes and otherwise i'd just wearing underwear in a group of 5 boys which is very uncomfortable also considering the amount of scars i have on my body.
I just lay there on the floor bruce next to me and the other boys just were just watching not knowing what to do. Until Clint said we'll be descending in 10minutes. Finally.
I had to sit back in my chair so we could start descent to the house (in the 12 or so hours we were gone tony got some people in to work on the tower straight away as only one explosion went off, we also know for a fact 6 of our shield agents sadly died. Maria and Fury are still alive.)
The jet opened and we could finally see our home, honestly it didn't look that much different as only a few things were burned and replaced easily. I got up out of my seat the ice had melted, however my side felt relatively back to normal.
We finally got in and i walked back to my room to see if the people had taken anything. From what i saw at first no, however the one thing in my room that i loved the most i had in a box in my wardrobe i opened it and it was gone, there was a note next to it saying "were taking back what's ours-RR (red room). My ballet slippers were gone!
I froze i couldn't work out whether they meant they were taking me away or just my shoes.I tear trickled down my eye as that was the only good memory i had on my past.More tears started to stream down my eyes as how much better my life is now but without the dancing. Suddenly came a knock at my door; i quickly hid the note away and shut the wardrobe as quietly as possible, i pulled my gun out not sure who i was going to face.
I opened the door quickly pointing my gun directly at the person...
