We walked a short distance apart in the chilling weather trying to find the nearest shop.
"How much money did you bring?"He wondered.
"I have $200 in cash"I replied.
"Smart"He said back.
"I don't want to risk anything"I said and he nodded his head in agreement back.
We were walking down the icy path and the weather just seemed to get worse and worse.Until we stumbled upon a small cafe.
"This looks nice"James said "If that's alright for you. We don't have to go if you don't want."He quickly continued after.
"Don't worry, this is perfect."I replied.
He nodded his head and we made our way in.We sat down at a table seeing what we can eat and shortly the waitress came over taking our order.
"What would you lovely couple like to order?"She asked.
"Oh...ha were not together"I replied awkwardly, i could tell James was trying so hard not to laugh.
"I'm so sorry, what would you like then?"She asked again.
We ordered two hot chocolates and a breakfast sandwich and as the waitress walked away with our order, i kicked him under the table saying "It's not funny." I tried to deny but his laughter made me crack a smile.
"So i was wondering will you be able to afford another week considering we have limited money?".
"I think i'll just about have enough, i need to keep my money tight"I replied.
"Okay we can do that"He said.
We didn't talk much until our food came, and then we ate happily away.
We finished off paying the $20 bill.
"Talk about needing to keep our money tight"He said jokingly.
"Yeh"I replied sighing.
We headed back out into the snow and we had no idea where we wanted to go.
"What do we do now?"I asked.
"I have no idea"I replied.
".....Why don't we head back to the motel and then we can plan from there as it looks like the weather is getting worse"James said.
"Good plan"I replied and we headed back through the freezing snow.
However when we were doing so i could tell someone was watching us.
"James-"I started.
But we cut me off saying "I know".
"Who is he?" I whispered.
"I think i made an enemy along the way"He replied.
"Just act normal"He continued.
We then found ourselves at a shopping centre "We can lose him in here"I said.
"Good idea"He replied.
We headed in and we were relieved from the cold.I've got to admit the shopping centre was much smaller than i hoped.However when we went in after a few minutes we realised, they weren't going to come out, they were waiting for us.
And that was the only way out.
"What are we going to do now?"I asked as he noticed they weren't coming in also.
"We just need to go before they catch up any closer to us"He said and i nodded my head in return.
We quickly walked back out trying to blend in with everyone else.However we were soon to realise they were right in front of us.The first shot was silenced and it just about missed our heads.
We stayed low until we made a run for it."Follow me quickly"James stated, i didn't even get i chance to reply until he quickly ran off.
I swiftly followed him until we came across an alley.He pulled me in and once again we hid from them however there wasn't just one guy following us there was many, and we were surrounded.
The guy held a gun towards me, as me and James stood back to back ready for anything.He realised the was being pointed at me so he turned us around so he was stood to the end of the gun.
"What do you want from me?"James asked.
"We want you dead"He replied as another guy pointed a gun at me.
Then he got angry, he quickly went up to the guy crushing the gun in one hand and knocking him out cold unexpectedly.That was a big mistake.The fight started and i had two guys on me as James had three.
The first guy swung at me which i dodged and punched him hard in the stomach.Shortly the second guy also swung at me which i caught and i threw him back into the brick wall breaking his arm.
The first guy recovered kicking me in the stomach as i fell down into the freezing snow. He went to kick me but i took out his ankles and i stood back up.The second guy then got a good punch to my face unexpectedly so in return i shook it off and smashed his head into the wall knocking him out. The first guy had stood back up and punched me again making me off balance, he pulled his gun out.In seconds i had taken it and pointed it at him shooting him so he stayed down.
I then turned to see james with a gun to his head as he lay there beaten up.However as i held the gun towards the man holding James, the guy next to him also pointed a gun at me.I still had my gun firmly pointing towards the guy on James however they told me to "Drop the gun".
I sighed as James nodded his head, what am i going to do now.However as i did i suddenly shot the guy on james unexpectedly, which lead to me and the guy next to him shooting at each other, my bullet hit him straight in the chest making him fall, making his shot off target and just missing my thigh.
"James"I whispered as i helped him up, he groaned in pain whilst doing so.
"I-i'm alright"He replied as blood poured from his face, my cheek was bleeding likewise.
"C'mon we need to go"I said putting his arm over my shoulder.
"Yeah"He replied heavily.
We made our way back to the motel as i held him steady.As we walked in it was so much warmer than outside.I sat him on the bed, as i went into the bathroom getting a med kit.
I walked back in the room and he had taken his coat off holding on to his stomach.I firstly cleaned his face gently and he watched me thankfully.
I then looked at him in the eyes and he looked back giving me eyes of agreement, so i slowly lifted his shirt up showing a cut on his abs.
I traced me hand over it first and his breath hitched.I quickly started cleaning the wound as he shut his eyes and lay back.I finished wrapping the bandage over it and then finally stated "All done".
"Wait"He replied tracing my jaw line.
What?"I replied.
"I need to take care of you also".He replied, I gave him a faint smile.
"He then started cleaning my face gently, one hand still placed on my jaw.Once he was finished we both looked into each others eyes not sure what to do next.
