I opened my door quickly pointing a gun at the person on the other end, there was a wide-eyed Bruce was on the end holding his hands up."Omg Bruce i could've shot you, come in"I replied now realising i still had tear stains of my cheeks.Bruce noticed and walked in my room asking "Are you alright?" whilst sitting on my bed.I hated people asking me that question however i didn't mind this time.
"To be honest, not really"I replied facing the ground, he lifted my head up and replied "you know you can tell me anything right".I replied saying"I know".I paused and took a deep breath and said anxiously "So y'know when the people who came after me and destroyed the place and knocked me unconscious, i woke and i was in Russia oblivious to where i was at the time, so before they left they must've rummaged through my things, but i don't really have anything valuable however i had one thing that meant the world to me and they took it.
I could feel the tears building up in my eyes, "they were my ballet slippers, i used to love dancing that was the only good thing i had of my past and now it's gone", i couldn't hold my tears any longer as they streamed down my face."Hey come here, we'll get them back" Bruce said hugging me. I could stay like this forever, in his arms i felt safe.
"They also left this" I said trembling holding my hand out to show him the note.Bruce read it and was shocked."You know what RR stands for right", I questioned him."Of course i do" he replied sadly. "I just came here to tell you we could see what was causing you to have pain on your side but i think that can wait for tomorrow."I nodded my head still in his arms. "Don't worry me and the rest of team are always here to help you..and soon were going to have to tell them as this is major evidence"."Ok that's fine." I replied sorrowfully.
"It's 5pm and tony said he's going to throw a small party in a few hours so that could take your mind off things".He said hopeful."Yeah" i replied softly getting out of Bruce's hug."Omg i'm so sorry"I said as i realised i got his shirt all wet from my tears.I wiped my hand over his stomach, if that would help, but Jesus christ did he have abs.I traced his abs with my finger over his shirt for a bit too long as he nervously got up and kissed my head saying "see you in a few hours whilst walking out the door.Not only did i feel emotional but turned on at the same time.Fuck hormones.
An hour had past and i was ready to go to the party, i wore just a simple black dress and heels and i straightened my hair.I was just about to walk out my door when a caught eyes with a certain curly haired scientist Bruce, he was wearing just a simple black suit.We just stared at each other for a few seconds before Bruce said nervously "You look beautiful nat"He said with a smile. "You don't look too bad yourself" i replied with a smirk.
Everyone was waiting for us downstairs such as:Tony, Steve, Clint, Thor, Pepper and Maria was there as well.I sat next to Pepper and Maria and Bruce was sat next to the boys. We were all just having casual conversations until Tony the child he is decided we should play 7minutes in heaven. Everyone just rolled their eyes and tony was trying to persuade us by also saying its not just about kissing guys grow up it can just be you tell each other a secret and hey it can be a person of your choice.
Everyone finally agreed and Tony first nominated Steve so he picked Maria because i think he has something for her and everyone went "oooooo" as they walked in the tiny closet.7 minutes later Steve came out looking flustered as he's probably not kissed anyone in 70 years.When he sat down he picked on Tony and obviously he picked Pepper.7 minutes later they sat down and Tony picked on me, i waited for a few seconds but knowing exactly who i was going to pick.
I looked at Bruce and he looked straight back at me, i said "Bruce" softly, he formed a small smile in his face as everyone was shocked as they probably i was going to say Clint or something because i've known him for the longest and they probably wouldn't have guessed i would have a crush on Bruce out of everyone.I gave them all death stares before they could say anything but whilst i was walking towards it and Bruce behind i could already hear muffled talking.
It was very dark in the closet and smaller than i thought, me and Bruce could barely move. At first we were just staring into each other's eyes waiting for the other person to start the conversation.Until Bruce starting breathing heavier, so i asked him"Are you alright?".He responded shyly saying "Is it a bad time to tell you i'm claustrophobic?". He said with a small laugh."Bruce you should have said something."I replied worriedly."I didn't want to ruin everyone's fun."He said anxiously.He is too nice."I think i'm just gonna sit do-".He said passing out.
"Bruce!"i shouted "Bruce can you hear me?".He was just lay there silently.I quickly opened the closet and basically shouted "Bruce has passed out!"Everyone ran to him and Tony said "What did you do to him?". I gave him a death stare and punched him in the arm saying "He's claustrophobic". We picked him up and put him on the sofa.I was knelt by his side the whole time waiting for him to wake up as the others went to get some drinks.
He finally came round as i let out a small smile."Bruce can you hear me?"I questioned."Yeah i can hear you, what happend?" He said sitting up."Lay back down and i'll tell you"I said with a smile."Ok so remember when we were going in the closet because we were playing 7 minutes in heaven you passed out because your claustrophobic."I said."oh yeah, i'm sorry"he replied sitting up."Bruce you shouldn't be sorry for anything."i replied.
After, the rest of the team came over and sat down asking if Bruce was ok and he said he was fine; whilst i was checking up on him the whole time.
