Team Seven! Ch. 5

I stand in front of my mirror, checking my appearance for the millionth time. Why do I care what a couple of preteens think? It's not like it should even matter, but it does. My hair was tossled on my shoulder, in loose curls, and my normal clothes sat on my frame. I left my vest unzipped, showing off my chest area. (...Which I'm not lacking in ;) ...) I run my hand through my hair, fluffing it a little more. Once I'm satisfied, I roll my shoulders and take a deep breath. I need to calm my nerves... Maybe I should pay Obito a visit before I meet my team. I'm sure he would like that. I smile, walking out my apartment door. As usual, I stop by the Yamanaka Flower shop and by some flowers for Obito. I make my way down the path to the K.I.A stone and enjoy the cool breeze. Clouds dotted the sky and the sun warmed the ground under my feet.

One I got to the stone, I see someone already there. His back was turned from me and I could hear him speaking in low tones. His hands were shoved in his pockets and I creep up on him slowly, not giving away my presence. I stand almost directly next to him and see the flowers at at his feet. He must have brought some too. I set my own flowers next to his and reach out to trace Obito's name. Kakashi flenches next to me and stares at me with a wide eyes.
"...W-When...?" Kakashi's voice fades away, to stunned to form a sentence. I smile and laugh, proud of my shinobi skills.
"I've gotten pretty good at becoming undetectable, Kashi." I say, rolling my shoulders. "I've gotten pretty good at a lot of things.~"
Kakashi laughs, smiling at me with closed eyes. "So I've heard. They say you're the fastest shinobi in Konohagakure, never anything about you being a ghost on your feet."
"I'm nothing compared to Minato-Sensei. But my Flying Raijin Jutsu isn't a joke...." I say, remembering the Yellow Flash. "If you think about it, the only people who know how quiet I can be don't get the chance to realize it was me. I'm too good for my own good.~"
"You seem pretty boastful, Himiko." Kakashi says, crossing his arms. "It almost sounds like you want to test yourself or something?"
My smile pulls into a grin, loving the fact that he read my mind. "It's been forever since we've tested our skills against each other. Before we meet our students, let's go one on one. Just like we used to." I smirk, knowing how to pull his strings. "It shouldn't take long...~"
Kakashi's eyebrow twitches and he laughs. "Are you assuming I haven't gotten any stronger in these years?"
"No, that would be naive." I meet his eyes, challenging him. "I just believe that it wouldn't be enough."
The sound of Kakashi's laughter warmed my chest, making it a little hard to breathe. "Then I guess there is only one way to find out." Kakashi says, grinning at me.
I grin, shrugging off my vest. I pull my hair into a ponytail, feeling Kakashi's gaze on me. I set my katana on the ground, laying on to of my vest. Then I turn to Kakashi, smiling.
"Are you ready?" I ask, cracking my knuckles. "Let's not finish this too quickly, I want to savor it.~"
"Savor it?" Kakashi asks, hand hovering over his shuriken holster. "I was assuming this would be a daily thing for us."
I laugh, nodding. "You assumed correctly. Just try not to mess up my clothes too much, okay?" He tilts his head in confusion. "I want to look presentable to the team. If you rip my clothes, I'll make sure you pay for it tenfold."
Kakashi laughs, nodding. "Shall we begin?"
I nod, preparing myself. We both sunk into a position, waiting for the other to make the first move. I took it, tossing a kunai towards a tree in the distance. Kakashi lunges backwards, exspecting it to be aimed at him. I take this split second to disappear, appearing behind him. I grab a hold onto his body, tossing him into the air. I follow after, about to slam him back into the dirt. (Something I had picked up from Lee and Gai)But he substituted himself for a log, leaving me empty handed. I flip around quickly, exspecting him to behind me.
