Himiko's pov.

I stand next to Naruto and Sakura, leaning against the wall. Shino was about fight some Sound shinobi, they were standing facing each other. I feel a tug on my sleeve, looking down.
"Is that you, Himi-Sensei?" Rock Lee asks, "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, Lee!" I say, giving him a huge hug. "I didn't even notice you!"
"Wha?! You know this dork?!" Naruto yells, pointing a finger at us. "How does Bushy Brows know you?!"
"Himi-Sensei used to train with my team." Lee says, smiling at me. "It's been awhile."
"I've been meaning to stop by, but I've been pretty busy with my new team." I say, pointing my thumb at Sakura and Naruto.
"What? You got a new team?" Lee turns around, staring at Gai in shock. "You never told us that Himi got a new team!"
"She is partners with my rival! Kakashi Hatake!" Gai says, frowning. "It is a painful reminder that he has won, yet again!"
Neji rolls his eyes and Ten Ten smiles at me.
"It has been awhile, Himi-san." She says, "We've been missing our sparring sessions."
"What?!" Naruto yells, "You sparr with them?!"
I ignore Naruto, picking Raiden up from Sakura's arms. I place him in my arms, smiling at Gai.
"Watch my kids for a second, Gai. I'm going to go say hi to Kureinai and her squad." I say, walking away.
"Y-Yes! Of course!" Gai says, nodding. "Your youth is inspiring!" Naruto looks at him, frowning.
"Uh... Bushy brow's sensei is..." Naruto trails off, shuddering.

I walk towards Kureinai, smiling at her.
"What's up, Kureinai?" I ask, getting her attention. "It seems Shino has won."
"Oh! Hello, Himiko." She says, smiling at me. "Did you expect Shino to lose?"
"Of course not." I say, standing in front of her. Den yips, agreeing with me. Kiba's nose twitches, picking up the scent of my small puppy.
"Huh?" He asks, looking up at me. I smile at him, adjusting Den in my arms. "H-Himiko! I didn't recognize you for a second! What's that in your arms?"
"I'm doing good, Kiba. Thanks for asking." I say, laughing. "This is Raiden. He's my puppy. Everyone calls him Den for short."
"Den?" Kiba asks, "Can I pet him?"
"Go ahead, but don't make Akamaru jealous." I say, putting Den in Kiba's arms. Kiba grins at the small dog, rubbing behind his ears. Den's leg starts to twitch, thumping against Kiba's arm. Akamaru sat on Kiba's head, observing the other dog. I laugh, turning to face Hinata.
"How have you been, Hinata?" I ask, smiling at her.
"Oh... I-I've been good, Himiko-Sensei." She stutters, blushing shyly.
"I'm excited to see you guys grow during the Chūnin Exams." I say, honestly. "You have all already come so far from when you were so little at the Academy."
"T-Thank you." Hinata says, smiling.
"How about you, Shino." I ask, smiling at him. "You made that fight look easy, plugging him up like that."
"Thank you, Himiko-Sensei." He says, monotone.
"Sure." My eyes flicker to my team, seeing Kakashi already back. "Oh! I'm going to head back over there. I need to speak with Kakashi."
"G-Goodbye, Himiko-Sensei."
"Goodbye, Himiko."
"..."
I turn to face Kiba, seeing him rubbing his nose with Den. Akamaru was in Kiba's arms as well, both Den and Akamaru waged their tails in unison. They almost looked like twins, aside from their breed and coat color. Their size was the same though.
"Are you trying to suduce my puppy, Kiba?" I ask, grinning at him.
"Hmm..." Kiba looks up, grinning. "Maybe I should take him off your hands. Akamaru has always wanted a baby brother."
"Hmm... How about no?" I say, picking Den up. Akamaru looks up at me with sad eyes and Kiba makes the same exspression.
"Please!" He says, making puppy dog eyes. I quickly slam my eyes closed before it could take effect.
"Nope. I'm going back now." I say, walking away quickly.
"You'll come around!" Kiba yells, Akamaru barking in agreement.
"Don't count on it!" I yell back, laughing.

About the time I made it back, the battle was over between a guy named Misumi and Kankuro.
"Two of them against one guy... Isn't that against the rules?" Naruto asks, turning around to face Kakashi. "Isn't it, Kakashi-Sensei?"
"Not in this case, Naruto." Kakashi says, "The 'other guy' is just some kind of golem..."
"The art of the puppet master!" Sakura interups, "He manipulates a lifeless doll by projecting the power of his chakra. The golem is a weapon, just like shuriken."
"Whoa..." Naruto says, crossing his arms. "This is like a never ending freak show!"
"Look who's talking." Kakashi says, hands in his pockets.
"Good one, Sensei." Sakura laughs.
"Um... I don't think you'll be laughing in a minute Sakura." Kakashi says, pointing at the score board. "Look."
