Healing Ch. 39

A week of training with Sakura passed by too quickly. We'd run through basic Taijutsu skills, jabs and throws, and Sakura was starting to get the hang of it. Sometimes, Lee and Gai would show up and watch. Lee would cheer Sakura on, pushing her to try her best. I hope she realizes what an amazing boy Lee is. She'd better hold him dear to her heart, because he is one in one thousand. His heart is huge, caring for his friends with his whole being.
That reminds me, I'd gotten a message from Raiya a day or so ago. They'd found Tsunade and were on their way home. Meaning, they should be here today. After dropping Den off at Kiba's, who begged to babysit, I'd paused Sakura's training for today and heading down to meet them at the gates.

I'd sat on the wall of Konoha, kicking my feet as I watched for the team. After an hour or so of waiting, I saw Naruto's bright orange body in the distance. I instantly vault off of the wall, running to them. I grab Naruto in my arms and spin him like a child, his feet leaving the ground.
"I've missed you so much, Ruto!" I beam at him, setting him down on his feet. "You must have so much to tell me!"
"Loads." He giggles, rubbing his neck. Raiya hits him on the head, sighing.
"You go and run ahead." Jiraiya orders, "Go and buy yourself some ramen or something."
"Hmph." Naruto grumbles, but instantly accepts the money that the Sannin dangled in front of him. "Fine, but I'll be back!"
I laugh, watching his blonde hair disappear into the thick crowd. I hear someone clear their throat and I turn around, hands on my hips. Light brown eyes meet my forest green ones and I keep my exspression neutral.
"So you'd managed to find her, Raiya?" I ask, still keeping my eyes in hers.
"Yeah, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be." He admits, gaze shifting from me to Tsunade.
"Shizune..." Tsunade's voice was soft, getting Shizune's attention. The black haired girl watches me, suspicion in her eyes.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade?"
"Step back and don't intervene." Shizune's eyes widen, staring at her master in shock.
"Y-You can't be serious?! What are you doing?" She asks, stepping forward.
"Shizune!" Tsunade's voice halted her in her tracks. "This is between Himiko and I."
"O-Of course, my Lady..." Shizune backs up, several feet away. Jiraiya sighs, rubbing his neck.
"Just make it quick, girls." He says, moving to safety as well. "We've got a packed schedule."

Once the area was clear, a smile tugs at my lips. I creak my knuckles, rolling my shoulders.
"You know the rules." I say, bouncing on my heels as I prepare myself. "Only one finger."
"This one finger is plenty." She says, holding a perfectly manicured crimson nail. I nod, mirroring her position.
"I will only use one as well." I say, smiling predatoraly. Her eyes widen for a second, but her mouth pulls into the same smile as mine.
"Three... Two... One..." Tsunade lunges at me, "Go!"
I dodge, focusing a huge amount of chakra on my finger. I go to flick her, but she dodges as well. She lunges at me again and I side step and land a blow to her shoulder. She is tossed into the air, but quickly recovers. I'd ended it quickly, not wasting any time.
"That was a lucky hit." She says, landing on her feet a couple of yards away. I laugh, shaking my head.
"I got the first hit, so I win." I say, sticking my tongue out at her. "You've grown soft, Nade. Have you been to focused on growing your debt instead of your shinobi skills?"
"Have you ever been laid?" She growls back, smirking. I cross my arms, tilting my head.
"Have you?" I ask sweetly, like a wolf in sheep's clothing. We stare each other down for another couple of seconds and Tsunade was the first to crack.
"Ah, Saru! I missed you so much!" She gushes, planting huge kisses all over my face. "Look how big you've grown! You're chest is almost as big as mine! Why are you hiding it away like that! Let your girls see the sun!" I laugh, wiping my face.
"My brother would kill me."
"Asuma is such a party pooper. Is he still so overprotective?" She asks, "He'd never let you do anything fun."
"He's not that bad." I defend my brother, laughing. "He's actually been pretty busy with his new flame. You should see him when he's with her, all red like a school boy."
"I can't wait." She says, laughing. She turns to Shizune, waving her hand. "Shizune, come and meet my old student." Shizune quickly makes her way to us, eyes wide.
"Shizune, this is Himiko Sarutobi. Saru, this is Shizune." Tsunade says, waving her hands at us. I smile at Shizune, offering my hand.
"Nice to meet you, Shizune."
"It is an honor to meet you, Lady Himiko. Lady Tsunade has only told me stories of her star student, I'd never exspected to meet you in person." Shizune says, taking my hand and bowing deeply. I laugh, shaking my head.
"Nade must have been drunk or something, because I wasn't that much of a big shot." I admit, rubbing my neck. Tsunade snorts, shaking her head.
"Like hell you weren't. You could beat me in hand to hand combat any day." She says, thumping me on the back. I shrug, smiling sheepishly.
"I never was the best at medical justu."
"Who are you comparing yourself too?" Tsunade asks, confused. "You are only second to me. You judge yourself too harshly, that much hasn't changed."
"Well, I'm a little rusty since the last time I saw you." I admit, "There are a couple of people that I'm sure Naruto has spoke about. Sasuke Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake have mental trama, which I wanted you to give me a second opinion on, and Rock Lee has an even bigger problem."
I fill her in on his case, giving her the grim details.
"He's got bone shards in his spinal cord. Fragments are deep within his nerves." I explain, sadly. "I don't know if I could operate. If anyone could help him, it's you Nade."
"I will see what I can do. For now," She says, taking my hand. "Go and see what you can do with Kakashi. I'm going to help Sasuke, but I'll be over whenever I'm finished. If you don't get any where, I'll help you out."
"Okay." I nod, releasing her hands. "I'll do my best."
"Just believe in yourself, Saru." Tsunade says, smiling at me warmly. "You can do it."
"Of course." I nod, accepting her praise. I flash step away, running to Kakashi's apartment.
