This is just a little glimpse into Obito and Kakashi's view of Himiko, and then a little extra for Himiko's child/ children with them. Obito's glimpse takes place a little while before he supposedly died, and Kakashi's takes place whenever he and Himiko were Anbu and seperated. Kakashi's version will be the next update. This shouldn't be long, because I can't find my other file, and look forward for Chapter 7!

"Time goes on without a single apology."

Obito's Pov.

I try to contain my grin as I race down the street, my arms full of different art supplies and blank scrolls that an elderly woman had given me for helping her. I wasn't really an artist, but I had someone in mind who would love these. I blush slightly whenever I picture her reaction to my gift, smiling brightly as I duck under some trees. Himiko said she'd be out training today, so she'd probably be out in one of the zones. My feet carry me to her without much thought and I subconsciously knew where she was. It feels like it has always been that way, since we first met in the academy six years or so ago. I've always been connected to her. Himiko always had a way with people, whether she knew it or not, where she was a light in a room full of darkness. She was my light, a roaring fire that drew me closer. The would would feel frozen without her in it and I'd be so cold. To imagine her fire dwindle, to imagine it go out... I couldn't even begin to imagine that.
My world without Himiko...
If I'd ever lose her, I'd lose myself. I would be in a never ending darkness, just searching for her light, her warmth. I know that I would feel empty without her, hollow even. She makes me whole, my other half. The crushing weight of losing her would probably rip me apart, and I'd be swallowed by her absence.
Himiko Sarutobi was my everything, which may would a little strange coming from a preteen like me, but I've never been more sure about anything. She was my first friend and my first love, and she'll be my last. I'll never love again, nor will I ever have to. Himiko is a flame that can never be extinguished, she'll never go out. Even if she shrinks into a simple candle light, I would protect her against the wind. I won't let anyone or anything put her out.

Child!

Name- Mai Uchiha
Age- 6
Obito and Himiko have a daughter named Mai. Obito named her after, you guessed it, Himiko's alibi name that he'd given her as Tobi. She has black hair and bright green eyes. Mai is an over all happy kid, always smiling and laughing at whatever she sees. She always laughs at anything Obito does, and people are quick to fall in love with her adorable smile. She started the Academy recently, and will probably graduate whenever she is eight or nine. She's definitely more of prodigy than your average six year old.

Playtime!

I sat comfortably on the carpeted floor, surrounded in all sorts of toys. Obito sat next to me, actively playing with a large metal fire truck. Mai knelt next him, grabbing for a police car. Her hair was an echo of Obito's dark spikes, but hers was pulled up into twin pigtails. Mai's bright green eyes were full of determination as she races after her father's truck, clearing a way for the fire truck.
"Mama!" She tells me, face urgent. "You've got to move faster! Hana could be in trouble!"
"Opps!" I quickly start to move my ambulance toy, drawing across the carpet towards Hana, a puppy that we'd gotten her a while ago, who was asleep infront of the couch. "What now, Mai?"
"Check her pulse! Daddy!" Obito quickly gets at attention, ready to take his orders. "You have to get put the fire out! I'll clear the way!"
"Yes, Ma'am!" Obito drives his fire truck to Hana's fake burning house and I pull the puppy into my arms, pressing my finger to her paw.
"Hmm..." I pause of a while, pretending to be thinking critically. Mai crawls over to me, leaning over Hana.
"Is she okay?" She asks, looking up at me worried. "Did Hana breathe in too much smoke?"
"No, not this time..." I look over at Obito, shaking my head grimly. "I'm afraid this is worse than expected."
"How bad is it?" Obito asks me, crawling over to join us. He leans over me, resting his chin on my shoulder. He leans and rests his scarred cheek against mine.
"What, Mama?!" Mai asks, worried now. "Is she going to be okay?"
"I'm afraid that she's come down with a horrible illness." I inform them both, shaking my head slowly. "She's suffering form something terrible. There is only one cure."
"What is it?" Mai asks, scooting closer to me. "I'll do anything for her! We've got to save Hana, Mama!" My eyes twinkle, looking down at my little girl.
"She's suffering from sleep deprivation." I say, keeping my face serious. "We only have a small amount of time until she looses concious forever! We've got to get her to bed fast!"
"Oh! Has she brushed her teeth yet?" Mai asks with a serious exspression, standing up. Obito laughs, picking his daughter up and lifting her to his broad shoulders.
"Have you, Bubba?"
"Not yet!" Mai giggles, flopping backwards and looking at me upside down. Obito holds her legs so she doesn't slide off. "Hey, Mama!"
"What's up, Mai?" I ask, standing up with Hana still in my arms. She was still fast asleep.
"Wait for us in my room, kay?"
"Will do, bubba." I tell her, watching Obito carry her off to the bathroom. I smile as I watch them go, and I take this time to bring Hana into Mai's bedroom. I set her on top the the crimson blankets and smile softly as she snuggles into the pillows with a small doggy snore. I sit on the edge of the bed, waiting for my daughter and husband to get back.
"Mama!" Mai shouts/ whispers to me as she runs into the room. I quickly hold out my arms to her and she vaults into them. "Look what I can do!"
"What?" I ask, adjusting her in my arms slightly. She beams at me, holding out her hand palm up.
"Daddy taught me." She says, and she places a small coin on her palm. She flips her hand over, and it sticks. I stare at it in wonder, smiling proudly at her. She's already mastered her chakra control. We'd worked with her from an early age.
"That's awesome, Mai." I tell her, ruffling her hair. She giggles and crawls out of my arms into her bed. She's careful not to disturb Hana too much as she snuggles close to her. I lean over and kiss Mai on her forehead.
"Goodnight, Mai." I tell her, ruffing her hair slightly again.
"Night, Mama." She whispers back, smiling brightly. My own smile deepens when I see the exact mirror of my husband's own smile.
"My turn, eh?" Obito asks, resting his hand on my back. I look up at him and he smiles, just like Mai.
"Goodnight, Daddy." Mai says, reaching up for her father.
"G'night, Mai." Obito says, hugging his daughter before we close the door behind us. Once we do, Obito takes my hand and leads me into the livingroom, where he pulls me into the couch beside him. I easily fit into his side, like a puzzle as he presses his face into my neck.
"Bedtime, Bito?" I ask and he yawns, holding me closer against him.
"Seeing Hana out like that made me sleepy." His voice was slightly husky, and I could tell his eyes were closed.
"Yeah, I think she fell asleep whenever she was pretending to be unconscious for Mai." I say, smiling at memory of the snoring Ninkin. Obito chuckles softly, shaking his head slightly.
"She's never really good at playing the victim part when Mai plays. This is the third time this week that he's fallen asleep and it's only eight o'clock. Maybe Den can switch roles with her every once and a while. She can go with Mai to the academy and Den can play with her at home."
"He's is been pretty busy with Mai at the academy. Must be hard keeping up with her, for him being an older dog now." I say, curling up into my husband's strong chest. "He's probably not even used to it yet."
"I'd be exhausted too, having to run after Mai all day long." Obito murmurs, softly brushing his lips against my cheek as I close my eyes. "Maybe we should go to bed early too." He says, arms tightening around me as he lifts me into his chest. I don't squirm as he stands up and carries me into our room. I just rest my head on him, listening to his heartbeat as he shuts our door and placed me gently into our mattress. He slides into the covers beside me and he pulls me back beside him.
"I love you, Himiko." He whispers, kissing my lips gently as we settle down to go to sleep. I smile, reaching up and gently pushing some hair from his forehead. I loved every night that we fall asleep exhausted in each other's arms. It was a beautiful reminder that Mai was real, and that she was an actual part of our lives. Sometimes it was hard to believe that we created that little angel.
"I love you too, Obito."
