Kakashi and I walk to the hospital in silence. He walked at my side, a little slower than his normal pace. At first, I thought it was unintentional but whenever I slowed my pace he'd adjust his to match. This left my chest heavy and my head confused. Why is he standing so close? What happened to boundaries? Did he forget or something? I shake my head roughly, rolling my shoulders. It doesn't matter anyway, I'm leaving tonight. I should make some time today to say goodbye to Suma. I'll stop by Gai and tell him farewell also. That's it though, I can't tell anyone else that I'll be gone. I won't tell Asuma or Gai where I'm going, but I'll tell them that I won't be here.

Once we get closer to the hospital, I see a commotion on the roof. Lightning flashes and I can hear Sakura yelling.
"Both of you!" She yells, her voice full of fear. "Stop!"

My heart stops and I grab Kakashi hand and teleport us to the too of the hospital roof. I'd taken Sasuke's hands, prevent him from jabbing Naruto with Chidori, as Kakashi stops Naruto from hitting Sasuke with rasengan. I was forced to use Sasuke's momentum to throw him in the distance, so he doesn't run into Sakura. Kakashi does the same to Naruto, tossing him away. They both hit different water towers, leaving gaping holes with their justu.
"Ow!" Naruto yells, pulling his hand from the metal. Sasuke growls, doing the same. I straighten my posture, face set in concern. Kakashi stands beside me, in front of Sakura, with his hand on his hip.
"What are you guys doing up here?" He asks, disapprovingly. "That was a little much for just one fight. What is wrong with you two?"
". . ." I stare at my boys, unable to process what I'd just witnessed. They were attacking each other, without any sort of limits. They aimed to kill. My head was starting to feel light as I forget to breathe.
"Sasuke, what are you doing? That Chidori wasn't the size you'd aim at a friend from the Village." Kakashi lectures, "Are you actually trying to kill Naruto?"
Sasuke doesn't respond, glaring at Kakashi.
"Sasuke..." I take a small breath, reaching out to him. "What's wrong?"
". . ." He doesn't respond to me, looking away. He quickly jumps the gate of the roof and lands on the street below. I move to follow him, but Kakashi raises a hand to stop me, motioning towards Sakura. She was balling her eyes out, hands holding her face. I instantly rush to her side, fingers wiping away her tears.
"Shh, Sakura... It's okay." I tell her, smiling. She sniffles, listening intently to my soft words of comfort. Kakashi looks over his shoulder, eyes settling on someone in the distance.
"Was it you that taught him that technique? Naruto is too young to handle it." Kakashi says and I look up from Sakura to see Jiraiya leaning against the wall. He must have taught Naruto while they were away... Still, to perfect Rasengan in that short of time. It took me a year to perfect, even with Minato-Sensei. It's startling that Naruto is able to preform such an advance justu.
"He could have killed Sasuke..." I tell Jiraiya, still holding Sakura. Kakashi nods in agreement.
"Even against the Akatsuki, that justu is too..."
"Look who's talking. That Chidori is pretty powerful too." Jiraiya interups, shaking his head. ". . . Though I didn't think he'd throw it at a friend. Did I miss something between those two kids..?"
". . ." Kakashi glances at me, sighing. "It's complicated."
"Complicated?"
"Well..." Kakashi keeps his voice low enough for Naruto to not be able to hear. "Remember how you where with Orochimaru once upon a time?"
"Hmm..."
"Naruto and Sasuke are both friends and rivals. Their competition keeps them going. I'm guessing," Kakashi says, watching Naruto. "Naruto couldn't tolerate Sasuke's cheap provocations."
"He's wanted to be as strong as Sasuke since their academy days." I add, voice soft. "Naruto wants to be recognized, not by you or me, but by Sasuke."
"Sasuke sees Naruto's progress and compares it to his own." Kakashi agrees, "He feels at risk of being left behind. Naruto has indeed become strong."
"Is it revenge..?" Jiraiya asks, thinking aloud. "Is it Itachi making the boy so nervous..?"
"That's why Sasuke doesn't want to recognize Naruto's change. If he does, he may end up questioning himself..." Kakashi stands up, brushing off his pants. "It's a difficult thing, isn't it. Rivalry."
"Jealousy is not a good sign..." Jiraiya sighs, "Maybe I should talk to him..."
"Then I'll entrust Naruto to you. I have to deal with a mission and that Chidori too..." Kakashi says, appearing next to Sakura and me. He smiles at her with closed eyes and ruffles her hair.
"Don't worry!" He tells her, keeping his voice light. His eyes flicker to mine, like he was talking to me as well. "It'll be like it was before!"
Sakura nods, a small smile spreading across her lips. Kakashi nods back and flash steps away without another glance in my direction. I tense up, taking a couple steps forward. I turn back around, smiling at Sakura.
"Don't worry, Sakura. If you keep training the way I taught you, you'll be able to stop the boys whenever they get too rough." I tell her, giving her a thumbs up. "You're going to be an amazing kunoichi, just don't be afraid to get hurt. If you truly believe in something, throw yourself at it."
"T-Thank you, H-Himi..." She says, smiling as she wipes her face. "Y-You're the best."
"I'll miss you, Sakura." I tell her, disappearing before she could question me.
