. . .
. . .
I found myself in the same hallway as I was before, surrounded by doors. I narrow my eyes, taking off in a sprint. My eyes scan the doors, looking for a specific one. I push myself harder, glaring at the walls around me. It's got to be around here, somewhere! My eyes land on a white door in the distance. Red flames were painted along the bottom, raising on the door. I run to it, grabbing the golden handle. A strong feeling of love filled my chest and I rip the door open, running outside. I ignore the stings of sunlight in my eyes as I scan my surroundings. I stood on the top of the north watchtower, inside the barrier. I see my father standing a distance away, his Hokage uniform discarded. Two twin coffins stood in front of Orochimaru, opening up. Two men step out, both wearing Konoha headbands and old samurai type armor. One had long, raven hair and the other had spiky, white hair. I suck in a breath, taking an uneasy step forward.
"D... Dad!" I yell, seeing if he could hear me. He doesn't respond, keeping his eyes in the two men."Long time no see..." The white haired man says, "Saru..."
"Ah... It's you..." The other one says, "You've aged, Sarutobi."
"Wha...." I blink, taking another step forward. Did he say Saru? Dad used to call me that, when I was little. He said that one of his Sensei did the same for him. "Dad! Are these men the Hokage?!"
My words didn't reach his ears but the two men look at me, their eyes seeing. The long haired one blinks, a frown settling on his face. A smile appears on the white haired mans face, eyes meeting mine. They were empty, like that body wasn't his own.
"I never imagined I would see you again, and under these circumstances... I am so sorry..." Dad says, seriously. "Please, prepare yourselves. First Hokage! Second Hokage!""Hmm... Reanimation, eh?" The second Hokage asks, eyes still on mine. "And that Stripling over there is the one who summoned us with the forbidden justu? Impressive..."
"Which means,
Sarutobi..." The First says, frowning. "We must fight you..."
"What?" I ask, tumbling forward in shock. Gear dripping in my voice. "D-Don't! Please!" Tobirama flinches slightly and Hashirama crosses his arms."Enough with the old folks small talk..." Orochimaru says, preparing two kunai. "Why don't we get started?"
"War... No matter what the era..." Hashirama says, standing straight. "I apologise that you have to see this, Young Himiko."
"It's not what we want, Little Saru..." Tobirama adds, smiling softly at me.
"...Huh..?" Orochimaru looks around, confused. "Who the hell are you guys talking to? Himiko Sarutobi isn't here... Is she?"
"... Himiko..." Dad whispers, looking around. His eyes pass over me, unseeing. "...Where...?"
"I'm right here!" I yell, running towards him. I lunch into his arms but I pass through him, stumbling into the ground.
"...Please, Dad..." I whisper, holding my chest. "...I have a bad feeling about this...""Welp... No matter, I guess." Orochimaru says, pressing the kunai into the backs of the Hokage's heads. "If Himiko is here, then that means her eyes are coming along nicely." Ash and dust began to stuck to the Hokage, making them more lifelike. But their eyes were empty, more than before.
"...Edo Tensei..." I realize, pulling myself to my feet. Orochimaru stats to laugh.
"Perfect..." He chuckles, "Don't you get it now? Three is an incredible amount of joy and sense if accomplishment when you wound those who you once called Sensei! I prepared this little scenario precisely so you could experience that joy... So please enjoy it!!" Dad lunges at him, jumping into the air.
"Fire style: Kayuendan!" He yells, fire streaming from his mouth. "Dragon's flame!"
"Water style: Suijenheki! Tobirama counters, water covering the flame. "Water wall! Water style: Suiryudan! Water Dragon attack!" Dad quickly cancels it with a mud wall, but Hashirama prepares his hidden justu.
"Wood style: Hidden justu, Jukakotan!" He yells, "Deep forest emergence!"
The entire barrier was filled with trees, it's limbs twisters up around Dad. I jumped into the air, avoiding the attack. Just because they couldn't see me doesn't mean that I can't get hurt. I can't run the risk. Dad may need me...
"Ninja art: Kuchiyose! Summoning!" Dad yells, pressing his hand against a branch. "I call thee... Monkey King Enma!"
