Yeah! Obito extra! Put on your comfy pants and find a nice spot to huddle up! This should be good! (This takes place after the last war, so don't be confused by the picture. I just thought it was cute.)
Song- Budapest by George Ezra.
"My friends and family, they don't understand. They fear we'd loose so much if you take my hand. But for you, if lose it all."Mission: Find Obito
I flip over in my bed, groaning in annoince. The sun was shining through my curtians and I glance at my clock, checking the time. 8:45. I blink, waiting for my eyes to adjust. It can't be 8:45... I set an alarm for 6:15... My hands search around the bed, finding it empty. Where did he go? I slowly crawl out of the bed and make my way out of my room, looking around my house. I check the time on the oven and realization sinks in. It really is 8:48...
My body jolts awake and I sprint to the bathroom, hoping into the shower. I scrub my hair and quickly finish, jumping out. I wrap a towel around my body and run to my closet, pulling out my Jōnin vest and pants. I slide on my normal clothes and twist my hair into a french braid. I pull my headband on and strap my Katana to my back. I run back to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I finish up by washing my face.
After I'm finished, I sprint to the kitchen and shove a piece of bread into the toaster. While I'm waiting, I wrap bandages around my ankles and my right thigh. I clip on my shuriken holster and I hear the toaster pop. I quickly scrap some butter on the toast and run out the door.I run along the roof tops of Konoha, toast dangling from my mouth. My feet barely touch the roofs I run along, I quickly jump from one to the next. I find myself near the woods, running along the trees. My legs slow to a brisk walk as I pass some young students playing.
"Hello, Himiko-Sensei!" A young girl named Yui says, smiling at me.
"Where are you going, Himiko-Sensei?" A little boy named Kadzuki asks, tilting his head.
"I'm looking for someone..." I say, leaning towards them. "Do you guys want to go on a mission with me?" Their eyes go wide with shock and they glance at each other. I smile and shrug, starting to walk away. "It's okay if you don't want to... It's probably too dangerous for you guys anyway..."
"No! We're coming, Sensei!" Kadzuki says, pulling Yui with him.
I laugh, glancing back at them walking beside me. "Are you guys ready for your briefing?" I ask, watching them nod. "Good. Your mission is to find and interagate a missing man. He should be wearing a vest like mine and he has dark hair. I can't provide anymore information, but you'll only see half of his face... I will be watching. If you need back up, just call for me."
Kadzuki nods, face set in determination. Yui nods slowly, glancing at Kadzuki.
"We will start straight away, Himiko-Sensei!" Kadzuki says, pulling Yui away with him. I watch them disappear and set off in the opposite direction, looking for the same man. After around 15 minutes, I head back to Kadzuki and Yui to see if they have had any luck. I follow their tracks into the woods and I walk along their path, pushing my way through the dense undergrowth. I hear the sound of children laughing and I freeze, listening intently. It was coming from in front of me.... I start to crawl slowly, peering out out of the bush. I watch as Yui squeals in delight, running away from a tall man. He chases her around, roaring like an animal.
"I'll save you from the dragon, Yui-chan!" Kadzuki says, waving a stick like a sword. Kadzuki runs towards the "dragon", acting like he was slaying it. The "dragon" falls to his knees, hands reaching into the sky.
"Oh, no! I have been slayed!" He says, collapsing into the dirt. "... Goodbye, Cruel World.... Goodbye..."
Yui giggles and Kadzuki grins, propping his foot on the dead "dragon's" chest. He waves his "sword" in the air, victorious."Mission: Success." I say, waking out of the bushes. Kadzuki runs to me, grinning.
"Did you see, Sensei?!" He says, pulling on my sleeve. "I slayed the dragon!"
I laugh, nodding. "Did Yui help at all?"
"Of course she did!" Kadzuki says, smirking at Yui. "She was bait!"
Yui frowns, crossing her arms. "I was only bait because you were too scared."
Kadzuki starts to protest and I raise my hand, silencing them. "Okay, I'll bring you your rewards tommorow morning. For now, go home and get some rest." They nod reluctantly and I watch them disappear into the bushes.
I walk over to the slayed"dragon" and poke his cheek with my finger.
"You still alive, Bito? Those kids really beat you up..."
His dark eye flutters open and a smile blooms across his face.
"Meh." He says, pulling himself to a siting position. "The little one, Yui, really does pack a punch, though..."
"She's a little dragon... Maybe she was more fit for the role." I say, grinning at him.
He laughs, grabbing my hand and pulling me down next to him. Once my butt hit the dirt, he pulled us down to a laying position and his arm wrapped around me, holding me close against him.We lay there in each other's arms for a little while, listening to the sounds of the forest and each other breathing. I turn to my side and look up at Obito, studying his face. His eye was closed and I reach up, tracing the curved scars that ran along the right side of his face. His eye slowly opens and meets mine. His face heats up under my hand and he tilts his head, leaning towards my touch. I smile, snuggling closer against him.
"That was sweet of you to play with them, Bito." I say, laying my head against his chest. I hear his heart beat, steady. "That's one of the things I love about you. You're so sweet, Bito." His heart rate picks up, almost racing.
"... What are some other things you love about me?" He asks, a small smirk playing on his lips. I laugh, shaking my head. "I love a lot of things about you, Obito. Instead of naming them off one by one, it would be easier to just say that I love you."
Obito's face turns scarlet and his heart was racing. "I-I love you too, Himi." He stutters, glancing away in embarrassment. I laugh, tilting his face to look at me.
"It's not like it's the first time I've told you that I love you, Bito. Why are you so flustered?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "Look at how red you are..."
Obito laughs softly, resting his forehead against mine. His arms pull me close against him and I wrap my arms around his neck.
"Are you going to kiss me or something?" I ask, trying to hide my smile.
To my astonishment, his blush deepens and was heating my face against his. His lips press against mine and he deepens our kiss, hands tightening around my waist.
Once he pulls away, he smiles at me and tucks me against him, wrapping his arms back around me.
"I love you, Himiko." He says, leaning his head against mine.
"I hope that you're not just trying to butter me up so you don't get into any trouble..." I say, watching his face drop a little.
"What do you mean?" He asks, faking confusion.
"You turned off my alarm this morning, Obito Uchiha. I was supposed to wake up early this morning." I say, narrowing my eyes.
"You needed the extra sleep, Himi. You could barely keep your eyes open before we went to bed last night. You were dead on your feet." He says, glancing at me.
I sigh, settling back down against him. "It's a good thing you're so damn cute, Obito. If it were anyone else, I would be mad." I say, "But, next time you do it, I would much rather wake up with you next to me."
Obito's face heats back to and his nods, smiling at me.
"I'll stay with you."
