Obito's turn! Let's get this show on the road! (It's been so long since I've updated! Sorry!)

The News!

I sit on a chair in the waiting room, bouncing my feet in anticipation. I rest my hands on my stomach, tapping in a random sort of morse code. I waited patiently for someone to tap back, but instead I get a solid kick. I wince, laughing softly. They're a little fighter already. I quietly hum to myself, looking around at the empty area. I raise my wrist, checking the time... He should be here already... I sigh, leaning back in my chair and closing my eyes. He'll be here soon, without a doubt. I quickly start to doze off, sleep deprivation finally taking it's move.

I hear doors swing open with a loud thud and I flinch away, looking up with wide eyes. A man was running at me, his Hokage uniform flying in the wind caused from his speed. He throws himself at my feet taking my hands in his.
"I'm sorry I'm late, Himi." His eyes were full of remorse and I blink at him, sleepily wiping my eyes.
"It's okay, Bito..." I yawn, rolling my shoulders. "I'm sure you were late for a reason."
"They held me up in the office to finish some paperwork..." His eyes scan over me, resting on my stomach. "Have they called you in yet?"
"They tried, but I told them I wanted to wait for you." I smile at him, tugging gently on his hands. "Come sit with me."
"Were you sleeping?" He asks, sitting in the seat next to me. His arm wraps around my waist and pulls me close, resting his head on mine.
"Only for a little bit. Some madman stormed into the room and woke me up." I say, smiling ruefully. He returns my exspression, fingers weaving through mine.
"He must of had somewhere important to be. I'm sure he feels horrible for waking you up."
"I'm sure he does..." I laugh, shaking my head. "How was the office today? I haven't heard anything from Iruka yet about the meeting with the Kazekage or anything."
"I'm going to have to delay it for a while." Obito says, thumb running circles around the back of my hand. "I don't want to leave you alone while I'm in Sunagakure. I'm sure Kazekage Gaara will understand."
"Why don't you just hold the meeting here?" I ask, "I spoke with Temari a couple days ago and she said that Gaara wouldn't mind coming here at all."
". . ." Obito doesn't reply. He just looks me over, eyes burning with admiration run around my face as he scans my appearance. I blush slightly under his admiration, unable to look away from his dark eyes. He rests his forehead on mine, smiling softly.
"Sometimes I feel like you're more of a Hokage than I ever will be." Obito tells me, "You really are amazing, Himiko. I couldn't be here without you."
"You're an amazing Hokage, Obito Uchiha." I lecture him gently, kissing his lips softly. "I  can't wait to see what you will be as a father."
"I'm going to be the best father ever!" Obito says, beaming at me. "I will spoil my baby girl rotten!"
"How do you know it's a girl?" I ask, smiling at him. He winks, shrugging.
"I have my ways. The Hokage is all knowing." He says, beaming at me.
"Himiko Uchiha. The doctor is ready." A nurse says, standing in the doorway. Obito quickly helps me to my feet and leads me towards the door, arm around my waist.

The nursery

I sit on my chair casually sipping some random concoction of tart fruit juices, one of my random cravings. The white walls of the room were beautiful, the painted dog and animal pictures stood up well against the light color. I spent forever hand painting all the cute animals, which turned out amazing. I'd made sure to include Raiden, standing guard at the door. My eyes settle in front of me, where the love of my life was threatening a piece of paper, trying to build the baby crib.

"Obito, honey. What did the instructions do to make you say such things about it's mother?" I ask, hiding my smile. Obito groans loudly, falling backwards onto the ground.
"Why do they make it so hard?" He asks, staring at the ceiling. I laugh, holding out my hand.
"Here, let me have a look." Obito gladly accepts my offer, handing me the paper. I scan it, taking in all the instructions. Obito watches me from the floor, head propped up on his hand. I scan the instructions, tapping my foot on the ground.
"Try the leg on the other side." I say, pointing to where I was talking about. He nods, grabbing the leg and screwing it into the base. I continue to instruct him, telling him exactly where to put everything. When he was finished, he collapse beside me on the couch. I smile as he snuggles close to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his head on my shoulder. He yawns, making me laugh.
"Are you tired, Bito?" I ask, running my fingers through his hair. He nods, closing his eyes and leaning towards my touch. "You were up late last night working."
"Did I keep you up?" He asks, running his thumb in soothing circles in my enlarged stomach.
"I couldn't sleep without you." I admit, shrugging. "Plus, your little girl didn't stop kicking until you came home anyway."
"I'll try to be back earlier then." He says, looking up at me in worry. I smile softly at him, fingers tracing the circular scars on his cheek.
"You're too cute." I say, kissing his nose. He blushes, a bright smile appearing on his face.
"I love you, Himiko." He says, looking up at me.
"I hope you're not realizing that just now." I smile, snuggling back into his arms. "You do tell me everyday."
"And it feels like everyday I live you even more." He says, smiling widely as he watches me cringe.
"So cheesy, Bito." I say, laughing. He laughs as well, kissing my temple.
"You know you love it."

Let's do a rewind and have a quick scene whenever Himiko first told Obito about her pregnancy.

I walk through the village with my arms crossed over my belly, head spinning about the news I'd just learned. I twist the ring on my finger in thought, wondering how Obito would take this news. I haven't told anyone yet, exspecialy not my old team seven. I'm sure Naruto and Sakura would spread it across the village faster than a wildfire. Sasuke would be pleased that another Uchiha will be coming into this world.
I walk through the doors of the Hokage building, smiling at the shinobi guards in the hallway.
"Good afternoon, boys." I say, smiling at them. They bow, smiling back at me.
"Good afternoon, Himiko-san."
"Is Obito in?" I ask, pointing to his office. They nod in sinc.
"The Lord Hokage has been expecting you."
I nod, walking past then and towards the doors. I open them slowly, peeking my head in. Obito was passed out on his desk, his Hokage hat sideways on his head and about to dangle off. I smile, carefully closing the door behind me and creeping to him. I take his hat carefully from his head and put it on, adjusting it.
"Obito..." I lean down to him, cupping his cheek with my hand. He groans, mumbling something and leaning towards my hand.
"Himi..." He says, brows furrowing. I try not to laugh as he mumbles something about avocados.
"Obito, wake up." I tell him, trying again. "I've got something to tell you."
"Something..." His eyes flutter open, looking up at me sleepily. "To tell me?"
"Mhmm." I hum, grabbing his hand and placing it on my stomach. He blinks in confusion, fingers spread out on the flat of my tummy. "Do you feel that?"
"What?" He asks, looking at me confused. "Have you lost weight or something?"
"No, actually the opposite." I smile brightly at him, hinting as I wait for him to catch on. "I'm going to gain a lot of weight."
"You are?" He asks, tilting his head as he thinks hard. "Why?"
"My body's going to need more food." I say, laughing at him. He yawns, looking at his hand on my stomach. He stops midyawn and his eyes widen. He quickly looks back up at me and I beam at him brightly.
"Oh. My. God." Obito stands up, pulling me into his arms. He holds me tight against his chest, kissing me in pure happiness. He seemed to have forgotten about his sleepiness, holding me close and whispering his love and happiness in my ear.
Once he pulls away, he runs to the window and throws it open.
"I'm going to be a Dad!" He yells to the village, beaming at the blue sky.
"Congrats!" Some random villager yells back, making me laugh.
"Wait, Himi..." Obito quickly grabs my hand and leads me to my chair by his desk. He sits me down, starting to run around his office and gathering things. He piles up a blanket and a couple bags of snacks, bringing them to me. He lays the blanket across my lap and hands me the bags.
"Tell me if you need anything, okay?" He asks, looking at me with worry in his eyes. "Anything."
"I'll be fine." I smile comfortingly as he sinks back into his chair. He nods, tears forming in his eyes as he looks at me. Tears start to build in mine as well and he pulls me into his lap, hugging me tightly.
"...I'm going to be a dad..."

Aw, so sweet.
