Song- Iridescent By Linkin Park

"When you were standing in the wake of devastation, when you waiting on the edge of the unknown. And with the cataclysms raining down, insides crying save me now. You were there, impossibly alone. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? Failure is all you've known. Remember all your sadness and frustration, and let it go. Let it go."

Himiko's pov.

Today was the day that Team Minato was coming back home. My heart was pounding, deep like a drum. I found myself standing at the gates of Konoha, waiting. I promised myself I wouldn't cry. I promised myself that I would stay calm. But, right now, calm was the furthest word to describe me. I was like fire, wild and untamable. I couldn't stop pacing, walking in front of the gate. I couldn't breathe.
I couldn't breathe.
My eyes would flicker occasionally towards the woods, waiting for my team to appear. I feel so alone, empty. I would lose myself in my head, forgetting what was happening. After my vision, I started having horrible nightmares. Every single night I woke up screaming for Obito, calling out to him. I would wake up, confused and terrified. Dad would come running to my room, by he couldn't really do anything to help. Asuma tried as well, all he could do was lay with me until I fell back asleep. The nightmares were the least of my worries at the moment. I was scared to see my team again. I was scared to see only Rin and Kakashi walking towards me. There was a small hope in the back of my mind that my vision was wrong, that Obito wasn't dead, but I've never been wrong before. I've never wanted to be wrong so much in my life. I hear people approaching from the woods and I freeze, looking towards the tree line. Minato walked out, Kakashi and Rin trailing behind him. The world seemed to slow down as I ran to them. I jumped into Kakashi's arms, tears starting to drop from my eyes.
"...Kashi..." I whisper, choking on emotion.
"He's dead, Himiko.... He's dead..." Kakashi said, wrapping his arms around me tightly. His voice was heavy with grief. My tears started to flow heavier.
"I know." I say, hands clinched onto his shirt. "I saw."
Minato's arms wrap around us, and Rin finds her way into our hug as well. Kakashi's head rested against mine and his grip around me didn't loosen. I could see the necklace I had given him still around his neck. A fresh wave of sadness washed over me when I realized that one of those gems was no longer a part of the team. I take a deep breath, wiping my eyes.
"W-Was the mission a success?" I ask, looking up at Minato. "Was Kannabi bridge destroyed?"
"Yes. The mission was a success." Minato says, ruffling my hair sadly. "The bridge was destroyed."
"..." I nod, trying to smile. "I'll tell Dad that you guys are back. I'm sure you have a lot to report on."
"Thank you, Himi." Minato says, smiling at me. "I'll see you later."
"Bye." I say, flash stepping to my father's office.

"They're back, Dad." I say, getting his attention from his paperwork. He nods, waving his hand.
"Go ahead and tell Minato to come and see me, Bubba. Tell him I'd like to speak with Kakashi Hatake as well." The Lord Hokage says, smiling at me. I nod, flash stepping back to Minato.

I appear at his side, startlingly him.
"Oi, Himi!" He says, clutching his chest. "You're going to give an old man like me a heart attack!"
I smile, shrugging. "Dad wanted me to tell you to go ahead and see him. He said to bring Kakashi with you."
"Kakashi? Okay, I'll go get him." Minato says, smiling at me. "Your Jutsu is getting really good, Himi. Have you been training your flying Raijin Jutsu?"
"Of course, Sensei. I'm definitely getting the hang of it." I say, giving him a thumbs up. "While you were away, I trained with your old Sensei for a while. Raiya."
"Jiraiya was here?" Minato asks, tilting his head.
"Only for a week or so, but he taught me a couple of things." I say, smiling proudly. "I'll have to show you later."
"Of course, Himi. I look forward to seeing what you've learned. But, I must be on my way. I'll see you then." Minato says, flash stepping away. I wait a couple minutes, giving him time to grab Kakashi and start the meeting with the Hokage, and then I flash step to the hallway out side of my father's office. I sit against the wall, listening intently about what happened. At the age of twelve, my detection skills were pretty good. I could hear most of their words, speaking of Minato being called to the front lines. At some point in time, Rin had gotten kidnapped and Obito insisted on saving her. Kakashi refused and Obito went on his own, but eventually Kakashi realized his mistake and went after him. Kakashi had arrived just in time to save Obito and somewhere along the way Obito had awoken his Sharingan. They released Rin from the Genjustu and Kakashi, due to his impaired vision, almost got crushed by rocks. Obito had pushed him out of the way, becoming trapped instead.
Obito saved Kakashi. I smile, fingers tracing my lips. That sounds just like Obito to give his life for someone.
