Just to remind ya, the * means that it happened in the past! It's a little different than the extras that took place in the middle, because this ties in directly to the story. It has something to do with what Tobi mentioned in a previous chapter. This should be pretty sweet!

(Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Here is a double update to try and make up for it! I've been working on a lot of different projects, so make sure to check them out! Luv ya guys! I'll post the Obito pregnancy chapter later, I don't have it finished yet!)I sit atop a large, flat rock that hung over a round swimming hole. I kick my feet in the air and grin at the boy bellow me in the water.
"Bito!" I call to him, raising my hand in a wave to get his attention. He swims to the ledge, climbing up the rocky wall to reach me.
"What?" He asks, shaking his spiky black hair. Water splashes all over me and he laughs at me exspression, leaning back on the rock next to me. I follow his lead, looking up into the blue cloudy sky. I lost my train of thought as I stare into the never ending sky.
"Sometimes I wish that I was a cloud." I admit to him, smiling gently at the white cotton fluffs in the sky. Obito turned his head to face me, resting his head on his hand.
"Why?"
"Because they get to float away to do whatever they want." I reach my hand out as if I could grab one. "They don't have to worry about anything else."
"Do you worry, Himi?" Obito reaches out to me, fingers brushing a stray hair from my ponytail. I tear my eyes from the clouds and settle on his dark orbs.
"Sometimes." I admit quietly, eyes tracing his soft facial features. His lips tilt up, his head angling in a similar way.
"What do you worry about?" He asks, leaning towards me a little.
"You." I tell him honestly, my face serious. His curious facial expression slips into shock and awe. I smile slightly, unable to stay away from his dark orbs.
"Why?" He asks, breath so close to mine. All of the sudden, my world becomes just Obito and the depth of his eyes. I loose myself in them, but also find things that I never knew.
"Why do you worry about me?" He asks again, a gentle touch to my cheek to draw me out of my trance.
" 'Cause you're my husband, silly." I tell him, shaking my head to clear my thoughts. His face brightens and he laughs, hands reaching out to me. He pulls me into his arms, wet hair dripping across my face. His cheek presses tight on mine, nudging me with his chin.
"You don't have to worry about me anymore, Himi. It's my job to look out for you, okay?" He asks, resting his damp forehead on mine as he stares deep into my eyes. "I will be here for you, always. It's us, Himiko. Only us. Someone would have to tear the world into two. They'd have to burn the pieces and spread the ashes to break us apart."
"N-Not even then." I smile at him, tears building in my eyes. He nods, hands cupping my face.
"Not even then." He agrees, "I will always find you. You're mine."
I laugh quietly, "You sound so possessive, like I'm your toy or something."
"You're not my toy." He grins, shaking his head. "You're my everything."
"Don't say things like that!" I tell him, giggling as I lean back in his arms. "That's so cheesy!"
"What?" He asks, his grin pulling into a smirk. "You enjoy it."
"Gross." I laugh, shaking my head. He smiles, face slowly falling as he looks out past my shoulder. His eyes skim the willows, drifting along the forest. I watch as he looses himself in his thoughts, eyes loosing focus. His eyebrows drift down eventually and, after a while, his lip begins to quiver. My eyes widen slightly and I look at him with a mixture of shock and bewilderment. I touch his chin, tilting his face to meet mine.
"What are you thinking?" I ask, concern filling my chest. He blinks, looking down at me. He tries to swallow his emotion, but tears start to build in eyes. His black orbs flicker away from mine.
"I'm not enough." He mumbles, choking on his words. "I... I don't think that I will ever be enough for you. You're so amazing, Himiko. You're a prodigy, you've always been." My heart sinks and I narrow my eyes, letting him get it out.
"I-It's just that... Maybe I won't achieve my goals. Maybe I won't be what I want to be. What if I do horrible things? I would never be worthy of you. I don't want to touch you if I have blood on my hands. I don't think I could look at you if I had blood on my hands." He says, eyes flickering back to mine. His eyes roam across my face, taking in my pissed exspression. "D-Don't be mad, Himiko. I want to be enough, I just don't think I can be. M-Maybe I won't be Hokage..." I take his face in my hands, making him look me in the eyes.
"Say it again." I practically growl, glaring at him. He visablaly gulps, hands clenched at his sides. He licks his lips, trying to find enough nerve to repeat himself. I wait patiently, my lips tilting down slightly as my eyebrows settle.
"Don't talk like that, Obito Uchiha." I tell him, shaking my head. "It hurts when you say stuff like that."
". . ." He nods, pulling me tightly into his arms. His chin rests on my shoulder and I find my usual spot curled into his side. ". . . Sorry."
"You'd better be." I growl softly back, tucking my face into his side. He smelled like damp wood, skin still cold from the water. "You'll always be more than enough."
"Not when I get like this.." He says, pulling me closer against him. "I'm such an idiot."
"You're not an idiot, baka." I tell him, smiling. He laughs, shaking his head.
"Sorry." He says again, closing his eyes. I laugh, closing mine as well and enjoying our last few minutes together before we have to head back to the village.Obito and I walk through the woods, hand in hand. I listened as he rambled on about his new training routine and all that jazz. I listen to him with rapt attention, nodding and giving him my own insight.
"So I'm getting pretty swoll now. I've be-" He stops mid sentence, eyes wide. His hands roam up and down his body and he looks at me with wide eyes. "Oh no! We've got to go back, Himi! I left something!"
"What did you leave?" I ask, letting him lead me back to our swimming hole. His face heats up and he shakes him head, pulling me faster. I tilt my head at him, looking at his scarlet ears.
"What a strange color." I point out, laughing. He gives me a smile, tugging gently on my hand to move me faster.
"We've got to hurry so you get home in time or Asuma will hunt me down." Obito says, panic actually in his eyes. I laugh, pulling him as I start to run.
"I would never let him beat you up, Bito." I say, as he starts to run beside me. He beams at me, face in a hot blush as he pushes himself to keep pace with me. I slow down slightly, letting him run along side me.Once we get back to the pond area, Obito instantly starts searching around for something. I watch as he scrambles around, searching under an around rocks. He groans in aggravation, glaring at the area around him.
"Do you want me to help you find it?" I ask, walking up to him. He shakes his head, not making eye contact with me.
"No, it's okay." He says, continuing his mission. His eyes were set down in determination and he bit his lip in thought as he scanned the beach. I frown, putting my hands on my hips. He doesn't look up at me, kneeling down in the smooth rocks and starting to shuffle through them. I couldn't help but smile at his determination to find what he was looking for. I shake my head, sitting down beside him as he looks. My eyes wander the beach as he searches for whatever he was looking for. My eyes catch on an orange disk, laying beside my hand. I lift it up, noticing that it was a necklace. When I look closer, I can see that it was an Uchiha emblem, the orange disk being about the size of a quarter. It was attached to a leather string and dangled from it.
"Um, Obito?" I say, looking up from the necklace. "Is this yours?" He looks up at me and then to the thing in my hand. His eyes widen and he grabs it from me.
"Oh! How did you find it?" He asks, making sure to see if it wasn't broken.
"It was laying right next to us." I say, laughing. "What is it for?"
"..." His face heats up and he looks away, shrugging. "N-Nothing."
"Hmm." I lean forward, looking down at it in his hands. "I think it's pretty."
"Yeah?" He asks, face as red as a tomato.
"Yeah." I nod, smiling up at him. He smiles back, offering it to me.
"I got it for you." He says, smiling bashfully. "It was our anniversary a couple days ago, you know?"
"Yeah, I bought you some new kunai." I tell him, beaming at him as I take the necklace.
"Yeah, I got you this in return." He says, helping me out it on my neck. "So I'm always with you."
"I love it, Bito." I tell him, smiling sweetly. He nods, blushing deeper.
"I-It's an Uchiha emblem, because you're going to be apart of my clan whenever we actually get married. It's like a promise ring." He exsplains, looking away from my wide green eyes. His eyes travel to the small ring on my pinkie, the one he gave me all those years ago. My own cheeks heat up slightly and I beam at him.
"That's so cute, Bito. I'll never take it off." I tell him, looking down at it around my neck. "No matter what."
"Promise?" He asks, offering me his fingers to seal the deal. I nod, interlacing our middle and pointer fingers.
"Promise."
