"Okay, Yuna, maybe that's a little much," Yeji said.

"It's not our fault, exactly," Taehyun agreed.

"We didn't bring them here, right?"

Yuna had told everyone what she heard when they returned to their house after they had questioned her about her pale face and wringing hands.

"An invasion, guys," Yuna whispered urgently, "Somehow related to us."

"Well, not to sound very full of ourselves, but the prophecy, on the notebook thingy, did kinda say we were gonna save the world or some shit," Yeonjun pointed out.

"Language," Yeji scolded.

"I can't even say shit?"

Jisu shifted in her spot, ignoring Yeonjun. "Well, we just have to try and train for as long as we can, get a good grasp of our power and we should be fine."

"Bah, I'm tired of fighting," Ryujin muttered.

"I agree," Beomgyu spoke up, "Although I haven't done much fighting. We've been running for a while, maybe we just want a quick break?"

"We can have a break, " Taehyun said, "For a while. Relax, try to be normal for a while. But we have to be ready, for when that day comes."

-

Taehyun was very ready for that two-day nap he had planned. But as he was about to lie down and sleep, voices snaked their way up from downstairs, outside, the seven leaders.

"How much time do you reckon we have?"

"A week? Two weeks? Maybe less, I can't tell. But it's gonna be bad. I don't know how many of us will survive, or even avoid capture."

"We can get everyone out, save the orbs, let them live for another year."

"Jimin, it doesn't work that way."

"Why? How do you know?"

"It's fine, guys. We just need to be prepared. We can't fight our way out of a prophecy, you guys have to remember the last time we tried."

The normally bright and bubbly Hoseok sounded serious, "We can't let that happen again. That...that was a massacre."

"It won't happen again." Yoongi's voice was firm.

"We have to tell them," Jimin insisted.

Namjoon sighed, "Let them rest for a while. I'll tell them tomorrow."

With that the group dispersed off, the night quietened. Taehyun wished he could stay up and discuss that with someone, but the pull of exhaustion yanked him down onto his bed.

-

Unfortunately, he did not manage to sleep for two days straight. But twelve hours were good enough. He woke up to a peaceful, still morning. It was really quiet, too quiet. When he crept downstairs, only Jisu and Chaeryeong were awake, Jisu nursing a cup of something hot as she leaned against the table and Chaeryeong seeing if she could remove the kitchen window without making any sound (Yes she can).

"Hey," Jisu said softly.

Taehyun awkwardly nodded back at her.

Without turning around, Chaeryeong said, "You look a lot better now."

"Uh, thanks," was all Taehyun could manage.

"Were you thinking about what Yuna said?" Jisu asked gently, "I bet you're really tired of running around."

Taehyun held back a sigh. "Well, I did hope we could...rest here. Relax. Then live, normally, like...get training, and be safe. "

Chaeryeong exhaled softly on yet another glass window pane she had removed, "Not everyone is keen. Like Yeji, she just wants a break, or the twins, they don't want much fuss. This whole saving-the-world thing? It's not really for them."

Jisu's fingers clenched around her cup tightly, "They won't back out, right? We need all ten of us."

"Sure, they'll stay. They're our friends."

But even Taehyun was unsure.
