"Babe. Wake up, it's Christmas." Colby said and kissed my head, "hmmmm?" I asked still trying to wake up, "Merry Christmas baby." He said quietly as I gasped and sat up straight. "It's Mia's first Christmas!!! Let's go get her!" I yelled and jumped out of bed as Colby laughed.

"Merry Christmas by the way." I said and ran up to kiss his cheek. "Let's go!" I exclaimed and ran out of the room.

When I opened the door to the nursery Mia was up and cooing at us, "Merry Christmas sweet girl!" I cooed and picked her up as Colby leaned against the door frame, watching us. I looked up at him with a smile as Mia cuddled into my chest. "Do you think anyone else is awake?" I asked and walked up to him leaning my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. "Probably not, but I thought we could share a little moment before they do." He said quietly and rubbed my arms as Mia wiggled happily.

"I would love that." I whispered and closed my eyes as his lips pressed against my forehead.

We quietly made our way down to the living room where the Christmas tree was, "look how beautiful it is!" I cooed at Mia and gestured to the tree as she looked at it with wonder in her eyes. I sat on the couch with Mia as Colby grabbed our presents.

Mia fussed and reached for Colby as he sat down next to me, "oh you want daddy to hold you?" I asked and handed her over to him as she snuggled into his neck. "Hi princess, do you want to open your gift?" He asked sweetly and held the gift in front of Mia. She stared at it and reached to put it in her mouth, "you don't eat it silly girl, you open it!" I said and ripped the paper slightly so she would grab at it.

Colby brought the gift closer to her as she reached for the ripped paper, "there you go princess." He cooed and helped her pull at it. She pulled off a small bit of paper and waved her arms as she happily giggled, "yay!!" I exclaimed and helped her pull the rest off to reveal that it was a stuffed elephant.

Mia giggled and grabbed it, waving it around happily, "you love it?!" Colby asked and kissed her cheek as she smiled at him widely. "I think she loves it." I said quietly and smiled at them. "Okay your turn." I said and got up to grab Colby's gift.

I gave him the gift and sat down again, pulling my legs into my chest as I watched him. He had Mia help him rip the paper off to reveal the kingdom hearts necklace I got for him. It was a paopu fruit necklace that split in half to make two necklaces.

I knew he loved that game so much so I did some research, in the game the paopu fruit is a fruit that when two people share it their destinies become intertwined and they'll remain in eachothers lives no matter what.

He pouted and looked up at me, "I love it." He said and pulled me in for a sweet kiss, "Will you share it with me?" He asked and held out the other end of the necklace as I giggled, "of course I will." I whispered and took it from him, then clasped it around my neck.

"Your turn." He said and handed me my gift, I smiled at him and undid the paper to reveal a book, it looked like a homemade scrapbook with pictures in it from when we first started dating all the way to the pictures we took with everyone just last week, next to each picture was a description of the memory that was associated with the picture. I felt tears form in my eyes as I looked up at him, "you made this?" I wimpered as he nodded with a wide smile on his face.

"Yeah, Kat helped me with it." He said sheepishly as I launched myself forward and tackled him with a hug. "I love it and I love you." I said and peppered his face with kisses as Mia fussed. "Sorry little one, didn't mean to crush you." I said with a laugh and smoothed her hair down.

We sat there and helped Mia open a couple more of her presents before we went to the kitchen to feed her breakfast. I decided it was a banana kind of morning for her and mushed them up as Colby started making the house some pancakes.

"Merry Christmas!" Corey yelled as he came into the kitchen, "Merry Christmas!" Colby and I said in unison as I scooped a spoonful of bananas in Mia's mouth. "Need help brother?" He asked Colby, "yeah you wanna start cracking some eggs?" He asked and corey chuckled, "I'll crack your eggs any day." He said seductively which made me laugh as I wiped Mia's mouth with a cloth.

Everyone eventually woke up and all came into the kitchen as Corey set the table. "I'm so excited to be here for Mia's first Christmas, she looks so happy." Devyn said and grabbed one of Mia's hands and waved it around sending her into a fit of giggles, "she's always happy!" I said and smiled at the cute little girl who melted my heart every day. "I know, but she seems extra happy today." She said as I rubbed Mia's soft cheek with my finger, "you're right." I agreed and took a bite of my pancakes.

After breakfast we all gathered around and opened eachothers gifts, I couldn't help but smile so much that my cheeks were hurting. Everyone was just so happy. There was no drama, no bad energy, just all around love.

I couldn't have been happier.

My phone started ringing as we were all hanging out, "hey daddy." I answered and heard my dad chuckle on the other end, "Merry Christmas squirt." Dad said causing me to smile, "Merry Christmas, what are you up to?" I asked and looked down at Mia who was crawling around playing with all the wrapping paper on the floor. "Michelle and I are just hanging out, taking it easy today. What about you guys? Is Mia enjoying herself?" He asked as Colby sat next to me, "yeah, she's in wrapping paper heaven right now." I said with a laugh, "I bet she likes the paper more than the actual presents, doesn't she?" He asked with a laugh, "pretty much." I said and leaned into Colby.

"Wanna talk to Colby?" I asked as he chuckled on the other end, "sure!" He exclaimed and I handed the phone over to Colby as I snuggled into his side more.

"Merry Christmas dad!" He said into the phone as I looked around the room. Sam and Kat were snuggled up together in the blanket I had gotten for Kat. Jake and Tara were also snuggled up as Tara watched Jake play with his new Nintendo switch.

Even Devyn and Corey were snuggled together a little bit as her head was rested on his shoulder. They were watching the Christmas movie we had playing in the background during our gift opening activities.

I felt myself start to get emotional again as I looked down at Mia who was still ripping at the wrapping paper on the floor. Colby tightened his arm around my waist as he continued talking to my dad on the phone. I looked up at him and he smiled down at me before kissing my forehead. I chuckled and stood up so I could grab Mia.

She fussed a bit but eventually let me hold her as Colby repositioned his arm around me. I took a deep breath in and tightened my grip on Mia as she slowly started to fall asleep in my arms.

Colby eventually hung up with my dad then took my hand in his and rubbed circles onto it with his thumb. I couldn't help but feel so happy in this moment.

I was just so lucky.
