A war was brewing. A war that was likely to end in bloodshed.
Romans and Greeks were no longer at war with each other but the world's newest civil war was sparking between the demigods and the mortal heroes. A single spark of war that could burn all of humanity to the ground .
But the war was really a distraction for both sides. Whilst focusing on each other, they lost sight of the evil which had infiltrated their ranks and poisoned their world. An unspeakable enemy, hell-bent on revenge.
The only barrier between the sides and all out war, were three mortal heroes. One who trusted his mentee enough to listen, and two others who had heard the demigods and fought beside them.
Their most powerful assets, scattered and in hiding, the demigods fear a war. But pride and heart often stand in the way of head. And the mortals attempt to prepare for a battle they don't understand.
Reinforcements were on the way, but for which side, it wasn't clear. But these reinforcements might just be the peacemakers that both sides need.
And on the off chance, they managed to avoid fighting each other, they still had the biggest villain to face.
Jason was gone - or at least, that's what it seemed - replaced by a double, a slave of the pit. To serve his master, he was to slaughter the people he used to know, he used to love. Maybe this time, not even Piper's charm speak could bring him back.
Death was inevitable. Death is always inevitable. Whether it is caused by someone, something, or time - death is life's one true constant. But, in some cases, it is too sudden and too soon.
