Alaina was fixing a plate for BrYaN when she felt familiar arms wrap around her.
"Thought y'all was gon' talk forever" she said, still focused on making the plate. The sooner she was done with it, the sooner she could start avoiding him.
"Nah" Wayne shook his head. "Did you know he went to jail? He murdered three niggas with only a scalpel and ran a drug cartel" he said and she laughed.
"No he didn't. He's lying to you"
"How? He got a tattoo and a mugshot to prove it and errything"
"He got that tattoo five years ago after he lost a bet with uncle Earl. And he didn't go to jail. He spent a night in a waiting cell because he was drunk driving in the dead of the night and aunt Nisha had to bail his ass out the next morning" she explained.
"So he.....lied?" He asked, shocked. "Yes Wayne, he lied". She turned around with the plate and gave him the look she always had when he was on some dumb shit.
"Who the food for?" He asked, gesturing at the plate. "Mine"
"Cap"
"And how you know it's not mine?" She put her free hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow.
"You hate them potato salads with lil raisins in them and what's that on the plate? Potato salad with lil raisins in them" he smiled smugly and she mugged him.
"Okay you got me. It's for Bryan" she answered and his expression changed.
"Who Bryan? And why can't he get his lazy ass up to get some food himself? He paralyzed or sum'?"
"He's just my uncle's friend so chilll" she playfully pushed him away but he stepped closer and blocked her path.
"Nah I ain't chilling. You not supposed to be making a plate for no nigga that ain't me"
"Boy get out the way" she gently pushed him aside and went to the table Bryan sat at.
"Here you go". She set the plate down right in front of him. "Thank you baby"
Baby? Exactly who did this man think he was?
"What?" She asked for clarification. Maybe she was tripping and it wasn't what he said.
"I said thank you" he repeated and went back to talking to the niggas sitting with him. She nodded and walked back to an annoyed Wayne.
