Wataro
Wataro can still remember all those moments that he’s running towards Dudang everytime she's in trouble. Dudang likes to create mess from time to time at bilang nakakatandang kapatid nito ay obligasyon niya saluhin ito lagi. Yet, for Wataro, those moments don’t feel like a total obligation at all. There’s always this intense feeling of relief every time na nasasagip niya ito. Saving her makes him feel manlier than ever. And Dudang relying on him gives him a total satisfaction. Dudang, in so many ways that Wataro can’t completely imagine, completes him.
“Kapatid mo ba si Miss Dorothy Go? Nasa police station siya ngayon. She’s still underage that’s why we need to talk to her guardian.”
Wataro listened carefully towards the police and he already grasped every information that was thrown to him, immediately went outside the house. All he did was just run as fast as he when upon hitting the streets.
Wataro doesn’t like doing half-baked things as well failing at his obligations.
The moment he saw Dudang who was actually safe and completely fine, matinding pagkapanatag agad ang naramdaman niya. Dudang can do messy things anytime but that’s fine, Wataro will always be there. Being Dudang’s older brother will be the role he’d like to take part with.
“Pero gusto rin kita, Kuya.”
“Dudang . . .”
“Mali. Mahal pala kita.”
“A-alam ko ‘yon, Dudang.”
“Hindi! Hindi mo ‘yon alam, Kuya Wataro! Ibang ‘mahal’ ang tinutukoy ko!”
“Pero kapati---”
“Huwag. Huwag mong ituloy ‘yan. Kuya Wataro, please.
Not as an older brother, but as a man. But his sister making a move towards him just totally turns off Wataro.
Alam nating dalawa ‘yon. Alam nina Mama ‘yon. Alam ni Sora. Alam ni Kaito. Alam ng buong mundo!”
“Dudang, you’re my little sister.
“You’re so cruel, Kuya Wataro. Nalaman mo na ngang mahal kita, gusto mo pa ring malaman kung itinuring kitang kapatid. Napakasama mo. Napakasama.”
Wataro got hurt by their conversation. Never in his entire life that he lusted over his sister. Yes, he found her pretty and brave at the same time pero kahit kailan ay hindi niya ito inisip na iba sa kanya. For him, she will always be his little sister. He knows that. He’s aware of that. But still, it hurts.
