~Your POV~
"Honey?" Mom asked from a across the room.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Could you go get groceries, please?" Mom requested as she handed me a list of items, "I'm still busy so do you mind if you do it?"
"Sure, I'll do it."
"Thanks."
I got my wallet and threw on a casual outfit. Of course I didn't fix my hair, I'm going out for only a little bit so why bother?
I walked all the way to a small grocery store and got all the stuff my mom wrote.
I carried the plastic bags on both my arms, walking back home. The summer heat and the weight on my arms made me incredibly thirsty for a coke.
I looked around and saw a gas station to my right. Just a quick stop.
I started to go down the sidewalk to the gas station, it had the letters DX on the top.
As I got closer, I saw two boys in work uniforms there talking with other boys. Wait, they looked familiar.
Yep, it was them alright. They were all in the front, laughing and play fighting.
Johnny looked at my direction and smiled. He gave a wave, making everyone look at my direction too. Dallas turned his head and lit a cigar.
It hurt me a little, I just wanted to be friends with Dallas. Or even just have a friendly conversation with him.
I waved back at them.
"Hey, Y/N!" Soda said, "What brings you here?"
"I just wanted to get a coke," I responded, "It's like an oven out here. I didn't know you worked here."
"Ya never asked." Soda said with a smirk, he noticed I was struggling with carrying my bags now, "I'll take you inside. Oh, here. Let me help."

He took the heavy bags out of my arms and carried them all in one arm without effort.
"Show off." I giggled as playfully slapped his arm.
He chuckled and flexed his muscles.

~Dallas' POV~

Soda, that smooth mother fucker. I don't hate him, we're friends. But sometimes he gets on my nerves, man. Like now.
Y/N was with him. They were laughing and talking. She looked happy. She was getting close with him, a little too close for a couple of friends.
I felt jealousy inside me grow as I watched them being together. I clenched the cigar between my teeth and growled.
They walked together, their shoulders grazing as they made their way inside.
Soda opened the door for her. I felt like they were doing more than just getting a coke.
I had to follow them.
The rest of the gang were too busy with each other to notice me following them inside.
I quietly opened the door and closed it.
"I'll be right back." Soda said to Y/N as he walked to the back door, "I gotta go do something. Feel free to explore and get anything you want and set it on the counter."
She nodded and walked around the store. Soda left, leaving just me and her. Perfect.
I saw her examine the bottles in the cooler and pull out some cokes on the counter. She started walk around to see if there was anything else she was interested.
I pretended to see if I wanted to buy something like a normal person. But when her back was turned, I watched her. Look, I'm not a stalker...well I looked like one there, but it wasn't creepy.
"Um...hey." She said quietly to me.
I looked to my side and she was right next to me.
"Hey." I said cooly, clearing my throat.
"So," Y/N said, "How have you been all this time?"
"Eh," I shrugged, "Nothin' interesting. What about you?"
She shrugged also.
"Same." She said. She smiled a bit at me, I couldn't help but blush and turn away. Her smile was adorable.
I never acted this way in front of a chick. All the ones I've hooked up with were the same, slutty, dramatic bitches with fake personalities. They were all the same, but Y/N was different, I just knew.
I was about to say something else when Soda walked back inside.
"Got everything?" He asked Y/N.
"Yep!" She said, making her way to the counter, "How much?"
Soda thought for a minute.
"Nah." He said, pushing the bottles towards her, "On the house."
"Oh, wow!" She exclaimed, "Thanks so much! You're the best!"
Soda smiled and winked. I couldn't take it.
"Hey, Soda." I said in a low voice, my eyes narrowing at him.
They both looked at me. I continued.
"I thought you were supposed to be working, pretty boy. You're getting paid to hook up with with chicks, give out stuff for free, and hang out. If you don't wanna get fired, I say you actually start working for once."
Soda had a look of shock on his face, then he was hurt. He took the broom and started sweeping the place, his head down in shame.
That's what I thought. I said in my head, smirking to myself.
"That was rude, Dal." She said with concern, "Why'd you say that to him?"
"Well, I'm sorry Goody-Two-Shoes," I said, putting my hands up, "Life ain't cupcakes and rainbows."
"I know it isn't." She said almost in a whisper as she eyebrows furrowed, "But that's no excuse to walk around and cause trouble everywhere you go."
I scoffed. She walked past me and left the gas station. Outside, I saw the gang looking at Y/N walk away with anger.
Johnny, Steve, and Two went inside, they knew it had to do with me.
"What'd you do this time, Dal?" Two asked.
"Nothin, man." I lied, shoving my hands in my pockets. Soda didn't speak.
They looked at me with suspicion. To not make this a bigger scene, I left before they said anything.
I screwed everything up again, she definitely believes that I'm the same person I was back then. I wasn't, at least I think I'm not.
Maybe next time, I could try to make it up for her. Even if all of this mushy stuff kills me. I just want to try fix everything.
