~Your POV~

I couldn't believe my eyes. Dallas Winston was standing right in front of me.
He's way taller now and muscular. His face grew more mature and serious. He still looked intimidating as always.
I hated to say this but he was actually really hot, while I was caught looking my worst.
We both stood there, looking at each other in shock. My childhood bully in front of me.
I didn't know what to do. Should I run? Should I say hi? What do I do?
I felt incredibly awkward. I think he did too. Last time we saw each other was when he beat me up.
"Y/N?" I heard some ask behind me.
I turned around again and saw a familiar face.
It was Johnny. He grew taller but overall he still looked the same. But there were some scars on his cheek, I wondered what happened but I didn't ask to be polite.
A smile grew on his face and his big, black eyes sparkled.
"Johnny!" I said happily, "Oh my gosh, it's been forever!"
"Yeah!" He chuckled, "Yah look great!"
I blushed slightly.
"You, too." I said back.
"Say." He wondered, "Why are you back? I mean, I'm not sayin' it's bad...I'm just asking."
"My mom found a better job here so we moved back."
Johnny nodded his head, understanding.
I saw a pair of guys rushing towards our direction.
"Sorry to keep you ladies waiting." One of the joked, "Why y'all standing here? Let's go!"
I recognized his face and voice. That perfect movie star face and hair.
"Sodapop?" I asked.
Soda looked at me, it took him a second to realize who I was and his face lit up in surprise.
"Y/N!" He exclaimed. He gave me a quick hug.
He pulled away and gushed.
"Wow!" He said happily, "It's been so long! I never knew you came back."
"Well," I chuckled, "Just moved back here today."
"That's awesome!" Soda cheered.
He was as bright as I remember, maybe even brighter.
The boy next to Soda stuck his hand out to me and gave me a toothy grin. I remembered him a bit but we never spoke to each other before.
"Name's Steve." He greeted me. I shook his hand, "Y/N, right?"
I nodded my head.
All of a sudden, another guy came running form the corner.
"Ugh!" He groaned in frustration as he reached us, breathing hard because he was running, "My car just broke down so I'll just follow y'all."
He looked at me and tilted his head in confusion.
"Who's the little lady?" He asked, a smirk growing across his face. Then his mind clicked.
"Ohhhhh!" He exclaimed in realization, "You're that chick I met in the drive-in, right?"
Everyone burst out laughing, I snickered a bit.
"Dumbass!" Steve chuckled as he playfully punched his shoulder.
"This is Y/N, remember?" Johnny said, "The new girl from back at elementary school."
"Oh, shit!" He exclaimed, giggling, "My bad! Name's Two-Bit, I remember now. Your name was...Y/N, yeah. Yah look a little different now, dolly. By any chance, are you already taken?"
He gave me a wink and a smirk.
"Nope," I replied, "And I don't plan to be taken any time soon."
He pouted his lip and slouched. Everyone else chuckled at his attempt to hook up with me.
"I'm so confused." A young boy asked as he scratched his head. He looked about fourteen.
"Sorry, Ponyboy!" Soda said as he walked over to the boy and put his hands on his shoulders, "Y/N, this is Ponyboy, my kid brother. Ponyboy, meet Y/N, a childhood friend."
We both smiled and shook each other's hands.
"Say, Y/N?" Soda asked me, "Wanna come to the drive-in with us?"
"Oh, no thanks, really." I said, chuckling nervously.
"Aw, come on!"Soda insisted, "You have to join us, we're reunited after all, let's have fun."
Everyone agreed. They really wanted me to go.
"Hey, Dal-," Soda said but then he stopped, "Hey, where'd he go?"
Dallas was gone. Everyone looked around, he was nowhere in sight.
I think it had to do with me.
I decided to just go home, I was already a burden to Dallas and I didn't want to be one for all of them.
I gave them my address and phone number to keep in touch. They weren't bad guys so it was fine.
I went back home and my Mom had dinner on the table.
"Hi, dinner's ready, come." She said as she walked to the dining table, "So, did you see anything new?"
"Yeah, I did." I said, "I saw some old friends."
"Ooh," She said, inching closer, "Who are they?"
"Just some girls." I said, I knew she'd kill me if I said a group of boys.
She nodded and smiled proudly of her child.
After dinner, I climbed into bed. I was so tired.
I looked up at the ceiling, daydreaming for a while.
I couldn't stop thinking about Dallas.
He just vanished without saying anything to me. Well, we had an ugly relationship but that was in the past. He changed, right?
