3rd Person’s Point of View
As the 2nd ceremony of coronation was over, umuna nang lumabas si Soul and glanced up at the moon above.
Everything is okay now. He said to himself and hopped in to his car and drove off. Soul is a very good guy and is ready to sacrifice anything for a friend. Marami na din syang ginawang sacrifices but he was happy he was able to help.
Two girls were able to melt his heart but none of them can stay.
An hour passed and he knows he’s close to the main road, and he let out a deep sigh. Pagod na sya at gusto na nyang umuwi. It’s been a long day.
Napalingon naman sya sa cellphone nya and answered the call without knowing who it is.
“What?” bungad nya agad dito.
[Dude si Azriel ‘to, alam kong di mo na naman tinitignan kung sino ang tumatawag.]
“Tss what do you want? I’m driving.”
[So how was it?] He knows Azriel was talking about the coronation.
“It was fine. I’m hanging up,” sabi nya at binabaan agad si Azriel. He thinks Azriel doesn’t have anything important to say.
While driving through the forest, he heard a loud sound at na-isip nya na baka na-flat ang gulong. He stopped the car and took a deep breath to calm himself and got out of the car.
Nilapitan nya ang gulong na na-flat and he was very frustrated.
“Of all time, why now?” he sighed and he was about to open the trunk of his car... when he heard a loud sound again.
It was a gunshot... and he felt pain in his back!
He immediately took cover inside of his car at sunod-sunod na putok ang naririnig nya. The gunman is located somewhere behind where he’s parking dahil ang salamin lang sa likod ang nabasag.
Tumigil muna saglit ang putok. He thinks maybe the gunman thought he’s dead or maybe his gun has no more bullets.
He took the chance and kicked the door of his car para makalabas sya. Once he’s out, tumakbo sya papunta sa gubat at doon lang nagsimula na ulit ang putok.
He ran as fast as he could, hindi nya pinapansin ang sakit ng tama nya sa likod.
When he was far enough at di na nya narinig ang putok ng baril... he leaned on a tree sideways dahil sa tama nya sa likod.
“F*ck who is he?!” bulong nya sa sarili at napapitlag sya nang may makita syang ilaw ng flashlight. He became furious, thinking it was the gunman pero narinig nya ang boses nito and it wasn’t him.
“Nakakainis naman! Bakit ba kasi ako humiwalay sa kanila. Yan tuloy,” sabi ng babae.
He closed his eyes and breathe hard, he wished the girl won’t find him dahil hassle lang ito. And he groaned when he was blinded by a light.
“S-Sino ka?!” the girl was frightened when she saw him and she’s taking second-thoughts of finding out who he is.
Hindi sumagot si Soul kaya lumapit pa ang babae.
Rapist ba’to?! Pero imposible! Ang gwapo kaya. Isang alok palang ata nito sa babae papayag na agad-agad! She thought to herself... nagtaka sya kung anong ginagawa ng isang lalaki sa gubat at nakasandal pa sa puno.
“O-Okay ka lang?” she asked him dahil napansin nyang naghahabol ito ng hininga. Until her flashlight got a glimpse of his shot on his back.
Oh my God! Mamatay na ba’to?!
Nawala ang takot nya kay Soul dahil may tama sya at mukhang hindi naman ito masamang tao.
Lumuhod sya sa harap nito na nanginginig ang kamay. Hindi nya alam ang gagawin nya dahil first time nyang maka-encounter ng tao na nabaril.
“Hala! Anong gagawin ko?! Ui kuya, anong gagawin ko?!”
“L-Leave me alone,” Soul said pero nag-aalala ang babae.
“Hindi pwede noh! Baka sabihin nila ako ang pumatay sayo!” she tried to look something in her bag that can help pero cellphone lang ang bitbit nya.
“Ai wait! Tatawag ako sa kaibigan ko,” she dialed her friend’s number and it rung for a few seconds before her friend pick it up.
“Hello Sheila?! Sheila? Naririnig mo ba ako?” tinignan nya ulit ang cellphone nya at nakita nya na mahina ang signal at ibinalik ulit ito sa tenga nya.
“Hello?! Naman oh! Shiela! Hoy! Si Jassie ‘to! Hello?” tinignan nya ulit at nawala na ang signal.
ARGHHH! Makakapatay ako ng cellphone ngayon eh! Nakakainis!
“Dyan ka lang kuya ah? Hihingi ako ng tulong, babalik ako agad,” sabi nya at dali-daling tumakbo palayo.
Napabangon si Soul at napangiwi sa sobrang sakit na nararamdaman nya. Tinignan nya kung saan tumakbo ang babae, at nang masigurado nyang malayo na ito. Tumayo agad sya at umalis.
