The brunette just sat there, looking at her back which disappeared after exiting out of the room, and till the time she was back; he kept his gaze stuck there.

"I'll pay.. wait" said Allan, taking in her astounded expression, a smile crept itself on his face when she gazed at him with wide eyes still not getting the answer she wanted, the latter pursed his lips breaking the contact and making his way to the doorway.
The female remain unmoved, her head whipped towards his direction after noticing his presence.
"Did you just confess to me?" She spoke between the loud thumping of her heart, she wanted it to be a statement but somehow it ended up as a question.
"You are really slow witted when it comes to these things." he leaned his head on the edge of door-frame, a measurable distance between them.
Ella blinked a couple of times, still waiting for him to answer the question she asked.
The male sighed before looking down and then at her again.
"I just replied to your confession that day." His tone now sounded more confident, Ella could never figure out how his voice would get more deeper when she is already on her limits.
