31/08/4013 AD – 11:34 – New Side City – Upper New Side – City Streets
The streets of New Side City were buzzing with excitement. A colourful parade was being held in honour of Jonathon Drivra's achievements and the recent distribution of Armoured Mobility Replication (A.M.R.) systems across the Human race. Jonathon stood in his Drive A.M.R. atop a large float. Several other soldiers were equipped with the latest A.M.R., were displaying their abilities: higher jumps, increased strength, flight. Thousands had gathered to witness the parade. However, much to Jonathon's dismay, he was not the star of the show. He wasn't even a back-up star; if people weren't looking at the A.M.R. they were admiring the Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) units, Alpha and Fated, who were waving to the crowds. Police had to push back the waves of scientists that wanted to investigate these exceptionally advanced A.I. The parade temporarily stopped so that the crew could rest, and the stars could answer questions.
Jonathon slipped behind some nearby stands and sighed heavily as he rested against the metal walls. He slid down the wall and sighed once more, fed up that this little show-off he arranged didn't go as planned.
"Mr Drivra?" came a young voice.
"What is it now?" Jonathon closed his eyes in frustration. "Alpha and Fated will be giving out autographs in a bit... and no, I can't help you get one early".
"What?" the voice replied. "No, I came to talk to you!"
"Huh? You came to talk to me?" Jonathon opened his eyes and froze. It was a girl. A young, beautiful, girl in a black leather jacket. She had deep-blue eyes and golden hair that had been dip-dyed black. Under her jacket, she had a white tank-top, a black short-skirt, long grey socks, and black hiking boots to complete her attire.
"Yeah?" this goddess said sweetly. "Is that a problem? Are you too busy for me?"
"No! No problem whatsoever!" Jonathon immediately stood up and reached out to shake the maiden's hand. "What is your name, m'love?"
"I'm Lexi, short for Alexis, obviously!" she revealed, shaking Jonathon's hands with her own soft hands.
"So, what is it that you wanted?" Jonathon asked eagerly.
"I wanted to ask you about your A.M.R.", Lexi explained. "It's not like the others, is it?"
"Quite right you are! I invented this one myself!" Jonathan bragged.
"Wow, that's so cool!" Lexi said joyously. "I'd love to get my own A.M.R. some day!"
"Well why not apply to the A.M.R. unit that we will be deploying in few weeks?" Jonathon suggested. "The army could always use more soldiers".
"I tried that!" Lexi started to cry. "But they are only accepting people with three or more years of military experience! I'm only seventeen! You are only nineteen! How come you get one?!"Jonathon looked at the weeping girl before him and decided to reveal one of his closely guarded secrets.
"Okay, if I'm being honest, I didn't invent A.M.R. technology", he whispered.
"WHAT?!" Lexi looked shocked and even more distraught. "But you said that you made it yourself!"
"And I did!" Jonathon defended himself. "I made this A.M.R., I didn't invent the base model".
"Then who did?" Lexi calmed down, but still had tears in her eyes. "Alpha? Fated?""Head to the east of New Side City", Jonathon spoke subtly. "After enough travelling, you'll find a small desert and within, an isolated tower".
"A tower?" Alexis asked.
