"Heyyyyy wait up, sis!" a small, red-haired girl was running after a slightly taller blonde-haired girl. Each of them had holstered Moirai pistol strapped to their thighs. The room was split into two sections: about an eighth of it was a beautiful, beige area with a laminate floor. The shimmering lights that overlooked the huge room illuminated everything spectacularly. Magnificent booths comprised of metal plates that reached up to the ceiling sealed off the remaining area of the room; a long hall covered in dull concrete. The area-separating series of booths each came with a table, headphones, and a clear view of the concrete section. This was the massive firing range the Destiny's used to test the variety of firearms they produced.
"Lexiiii, I said waittttt! I wanna play too!" the redhead cried desperately.
"How many times do I have to tell you, Kira?" Alexis sighed as she eventually stopped. "These guns aren't toys, and you shouldn't run with them!"
"You mean an army man can't run with a gun?" Kira looked curiously at her Moirai. Her name had been engraved onto it; although it had been done through the proper means, both Kira and Alexis wanted their engravings to be styled in a scratched font.
"No, I mean a four-year-old girl shouldn't be running around with one", Alexis patted her sister on the head as she set down her pistol on one of the booths and flicked a switch on the bottom of the gun; the tele-mag system activated and loaded a magazine. Lexi aimed the gun down the range.
"You gonna shoot?" Kira looked over Alexis' shoulder.
"Ah! What are you doing?!" Alexis panicked.
"Watching you shoot your Moray?"
"One: it's pronounced 'moi-r-eye', and two: don't stand right behind me when I'm shooting, dummy! You could get hurt!"
"Army men don't get hurt when they carry guns? That's strange".
"Don't be a smartarse!"
"ALEXIS SARAH DESTINY!" came a horrific screech that echoed throughout the room. The shout sent a shiver down the spines of the sisters as they jumped to face the entrance of the firing range. "Watch your language in front of Kira!" a woman barked as she walked through the door; she was wearing an apron that was decorated with a rose pattern and she carried a silver tray with two cups of tea and a plate full of chocolate biscuits. Her standing posture was angelic, but her otherwise flawless face was demonic as she scowled at the sisters. Her hair was a shade of blonde lighter than her oldest daughter's. This was Yuri Destiny.
"Mummy!" Kira smiled; her fear vanished as she rushed over to her parent.
"Sorry..." Alexis looked down and shuffled over to her weapon, picking it up once again and firing a few rounds off towards some target boards in the distance. The other two females were unphased by the gunshots as Kira joyously picked up a biscuit and chomped down on it.
"I said you could shoot your guns AFTER lunch, not before", Yuri exclaimed.
"But we did have lunch!" Kira insisted.
"You had ONE biscuit!"
"So? I just wasn't hung-"
"Between the two of you!" Yuri retorted as Kira quietly sulked back over to Alexis, nibbling her biscuit. The older sister sighed and put down her pistol on the booth's table; she waddled over to her mother to apologise... and get some snacks for herself.
Kira started to inspect Lexi's gun vividly before she noticed something and started to struggle to pull out her own weapon from the holster on her hip. "How come my gun has this bar at the bottom?! It makes it impossible to get out of my pocket!"
