08/02/4014 AD – 16:10 – Lavamelt – Orbit

A speeding Mylialta emptied a barrage of missiles into one of the artillery batteries of a nearby Shutenghen. It swerved around the underside of the base ship's hull whilst firing off indiscriminate bolts of energy from its four laser cannons. The attacks did little to disrupt the hull's shielding, but with unlimited ammo, the pilot thought 'may as well'. The vicinity was in chaos: fighters were exchanging gunfire whilst base ships hammered each other with artillery. After the first Shutenghen had been investigated, the empty base ship had been commandeered by Alliance forces. Right now, the orbit of Lavamelt was a cold and cruel battlefield as the U.A. searched for Alexis.

"Alright! Let's go!" Kira was bouncing up and down in the Heygrasault's cockpit as it flew through space.

"Ma'am, please sit down!" the pilot cried out. "You're distracting us!"

"But Lexi could be right there!" Kira yelled as she pointed out a Shutenghen in front. It had already been struck with the Lyshaspeare's Saberail twice and a series of bombing runs had taken out the majority of its turrets. "The hangar is exposed! Land us in there and we'll start searching!"

"Kira, I understand your concerns but bear in mind that the first Shutenghen we checked was completely abandoned", Millenicel said over the comms. He was outside the dropship, using his shield-type P.C.U.s to defend his teammates and his gun-types to blast any Duacrits that came close. "The second ship is not putting up much of a fight either, maybe we should just go for the one at the back? That is likely where they are keeping your sister if this pattern continues".

"OR! They just want us to think that!" Kira insisted the group headed for the second Shutenghen; her enthusiasm increased as her Heygrasault entered a hangar full of soldiers loading cargo onto their own dropships. Both sides began to exchange fire; energy blasts from the Heygrasault's turrets and kinetic bullets from A.E.R. Mulrhads.

"Lower the ramp!" Kira ordered as she barged past several Wyperians that were patiently waiting to deploy.

"We can't; it isn't safe yet!" the pilot insisted.

"Then let me out and I can attack!"

"Not without compromising the safety of the others!"

"Fine! I work better alone anyway!" Kira snarled as she summoned her Angelic Cannon, aimed it at the ramp, and fired. The Wyperians shielded up whilst Kira deployed her wings and flew out of the destroyed door.

"ANGEL UNIT!" screamed one of the A.E.R. soldiers as he diverted his attacks towards the divine being; the surrounding troopers did the same. Kira simply laughed as she blocked bullets with the starial shield on her left arm and attacked with the cannon on her right. One brave A.E.R. engineer came out of a nearby dropship holding a rocket launcher and fired at Kira. The Angel of Skill was able to evade the attack effortlessly with a mere flap of her wings. She retaliated by throwing a missile spear at her attacker and, after skewering her target through his metal chest, snapped the spear in half and threw the second half inside the Medrican; it exploded. Kira then began to systematically destroy every single enemy vehicle in the hangar in a similar fashion. The Alliance troops finally emerged from the smoking Heygrasault and began to mow down the remaining A.E.R. members with Mulrias. When there was only one battered enemy left, Kira used the claw on the end of her shotgun to hold him against the damaged hangar walls.

"Where is Alexis Destiny?!" Kira demanded.

"W-who?" came a weak reply.

"A blonde-haired, possibly black-haired, young girl that the mercenaries brought here!"
