River Blair.

"You need to tell us what happened back at the Infirmary." Bay says as she takes a bottled water out of the fridge.

We were at my place. Greta had to head to the dinner after much convincing though. She thought I shouldn't be left alone because of how shaken I looked when I came out of the stupid Infirmary.
Bay and Archer decided to stay with me, though I hadn't yet told them what happened exactly.
I take a seat at the kitchen island next to Archer who is giving me a sad look like he knew something. He probably did. The guy was wiser than he let on.

"I walked in on them fast asleep." I say almost sounding bitter.
Bay takes a sip of her water and walks over.

" Was that all?? Because I can't imagine two sleeping adults making you cry like your pet dog just died." She says.

" They were in the same bed. Cuddling. And holding hands. She had practically mounted him." I add. The image bringing fresh tears to my eyes.
Greta simply sighs. But doesn't say anything.

" He was probably just comforting her or something. You know after all that she's been through. She must be having severe PTSD or something along those lines. He was just being nice." Archer says, fiddling with a piece of paper.

" You really believe that?" I ask, my voice so small.

" No I don't. But I don't want to think of the alternative. It's much worse."
I nod in understanding.

" Did they wake up?" Bay asks.
" Nope... I fled the scene before they could."

"I say Give him the benefit of the doubt. Hear his side of the story first. what Archer said could be true. I feel for her.. being kidnapped is some serious shit. But I won't hesitate to put her in her place the moment she steps out of line. If she doesn't know you and Sebastian are mates, he will have to tell her. No need to encourage a romance that's long dead." Bay says and I agree with her.

"He's outside." Zane perks up.

"What?"

"Sebastian. He is out. You're really too slow for a werewolf! Who takes ages to smell their own mate??"

Ohh!

" Don't be mean zane. Am fragile."
I can almost see him roll his eyes. If that were even possible.

The knock at the door makes the three of us turn toward the sound.

" It's him." I say as I slowly drop off the stool.

" How do you know? Wait don't answer that. You definitely smelt him from a mile away." Bay says, and starts to gather her things.

" I didn't. Zane told me." I confess.

" And you call yourself a wolf!" Archer gasps, a hand to his chest.

" Well forgive me fellow creatures of the wild, but am not a full fledged wolf!" I say and we both smile.
He was really trying to cheer me up I guess.

" Stay here. We'll get the door on our way out." Bay says and they walk out the kitchen, after each placing a kiss to my cheek.

I hear the front door open and Sebastian asking whether I was home.
I can almost hear Bay's sassy reply.
Something along the lines of " of course he's here!. What would we be doing here if he wasn't!"

But she doesn't say anything. She must have just nodded.
The next thing I hear is the front door closing and footsteps coming my way. His scent invades my senses and I almost moan out in pleasure and happiness, but something stops my mini euphoric state. It's the fact that there's another lingering scent that's all over him.
I feel myself fuming. And my eyes start to glow. Zane wastes no time in possessing me. I don't even fight him.
Sebastian rounds the corner and appears at the kitchen entrance in all his glory.
He sees me, then starts to slowly walk my way.
