Chapter 61

Sebastian's POV

Am still searching for my phone charger when Casper's voice rings through my head, startling me.

"You need to get back here. Now." he instructs.

I quickly shut the drawer I was looking through and mind link him back.

"What's wrong? Is Blair okay?" I ask, finally giving up the search. I grab my car keys off the dresser and walk out of the room with my backpack over my shoulder.

He doesn't reply. And my worry intensifies.

"Cas? What's happening? Talk to me man.."

I rush down the flight of stairs, through the hallway and out the front door.

"Just get back okay?" Is all he says, before the connection drops.

I get into the car, tossing the bag onto the passenger seat before speeding out of the drive way.
I really hoped my mate was okay.. if not, I was totally gonna lose my shit.

It doesn't take me long to reach the Infirmary. The moment I park the car, I grab the bag and rush into the building.

"Alpha Sebastian I really need to talk to you." I hear a voice as I pass through the waiting area.

I don't spare the guy a single look, but just continue walking ahead.

"Alpha! Please. It's urgent!" he calls out as he tries to run after me.

I turn back and watchnThe warrior guards spring into action, and they try to restrain him.

"Alpha! Alpha! Alpha wait!"

There's just something about the urgency in his voice that forces me to fully turn around.

"Let him go." I tell the guards, who immediately release him. He stumbles for a bit before regaining his footing. I look at him closely. He looked vaguely familiar. I was sure I'd seen him around.

"What's your name?" I question.

"Marcus. My name is Marcus Alpha."
There's something I need to tell you... " he starts to speak but I cut him off.

"Now isn't the best time Marcus. I need to be with my mate. Come back later. Then we will talk."

"But..."

"Later Marcus." I say, my tone leaving no room for argument.

He looks around and fidgits with his fingers before noding his head.

"I'll wait right here." He says.
I give him one last look before turning to walk away.

I push the door to the room open and notice Casper seated in the chair next to the bed, holding my Mate's hand. His brows are furrowed and I could see the worry caked on his face.
The moment he notices me, he drops the hand and gets to his feet, stepping away from the bed.
I don't question it. I toss the backpack onto the little sofa and walk further into the room.

"What's wrong?" I ask, walking over to my mate and sitting in the chair Casper had just vacated. I take his hand in mine.
And a shiver runs through me. He was as cold as ice!! He wasn't this cold before.. infact he hadn't been cold at all!

Casper speaks up then.

"That's why I told you to come. I don't know what happened but his temperature just suddenly dropped and his heart beat is slowing down."

I swallow hard, taking in the new information.

"The pack doctor says there's nothing he can do. The silver has been expelled from his system. All of it. He should have been able to come to by now. But he's just detoriating."
