Chapter 46

Sebastian Decker.

River squeals the moment I lift him off the ground. I walk through the threshold into the hall way enjoying his discomfort.

" Put me down you dick!" he whisper yells as he tries to wiggle out of my arms.

" No will do. And yes am a dick, I like dick. And I plan to suck yours." I say making my way down the hall towards my dad's office.

" Oh goddess your mind is rotten!" he face palms, finally going still in my arms.
I reach the office and open it with a bit of a struggle since my beloved mate was still in my arms, his face looking sour.
I push the door open and walk in then five pairs of eyes immediately turn to stare. My dad, Greg, Casper, Mr sanders and Satin.
Blair practically jumps out of my arms the moment he realizes we've got an audience.
Casper bursts out laughing and my mates face goes red.
All faces looked amused except for one.
Satin.
I hadn't expected her to be here. Infact she had no business being here at all.
She looked like she had swallowed too much pepper. Her face was all scrunched up and twisted in an odd way. But I could make out the hatred in her eyes and the intensity of it scared me.

My dad clears his throat and Casper cuts his laughter short.

" Glad you could both make it. It's good to see you River. I trust my son is treating you well?" he raises an eyebrow in askance.
River simply offers him a small smile and nods.

" He's trying Alpha." he replies.

I loudly scoff. I was more than trying. I was giving my all to my mate. I deserved more credit.

"You're amazing. And I appreciate you." Blair mind links me, and my face immediately brightens. I plant a soft kiss to his cheek and he visibly reddens.

" Are we going to get down to business or just watch the queer show?" Satin's voice bursts our bubble. Blair gives her the 'what the hell look' before holding my hand and leading us to the chair right next to Casper. He drops down taking me with him. Satin glares daggers at our clasped hands but Blair doesn't let go. He simply intertwines our fingers. The action pissing her off more. She wasn't even bothering to hide her hatred and disgust.
She had definitely changed. Gone was she the sweet girl and in her place sat a bitter troll green with envy.

The door bursts open and my brother walks through.

" I've just gotten off the phone with Alpha Kennedy dad, his pack's been attacked by hunters. Many lives were lost." he states looking visibly troubled.

" What!! When did this happen?" I ask my brother.
Hunters were every werewolf's nightmare. These were humans hellbent on destroying our species. They couldn't deal with what they couldn't understand.

" Last night. But that's not all. Apparently the hunters weren't alone, they had help from wolves." Nate adds.

Since the raid, Nate had been busy training harder than everyone else and trying to investigate the incident. The guy couldn't stop beating himself up claiming everything was his fault. No matter how many times I told him otherwise. Anyone would have made the same call.

" That's the fifth attack in two months." my dad says looking worried.
This was definitely news to me. I was the future alpha and I knew nothing about what was going on.

" Why didn't anyone tell me any of this?"

Satin decides to open her mouth.
" If you hadn't been too busy with the fairy you would have known."

What was her problem?

Blair glares at her but she raises her nose in the air and looks the other way.
