River's POV.
I watch intently as Elliot pulls a knife out of his pocket. He carefully runs his fore finger along the blade.
" Sharp. Just the way I like it." he comments with a bright smile on his face. I take note of the blood that drops from his finger. He brings said finger to his mouth and licks it, his mouth making a smacking sound.
" So River, what's it gonna be? I personally suggest the slicing. It's euphoric. Am sure you will approve."
I feel bile rising to my throat at his sick ideas. He takes a step towards Greta and my gaze quickly goes to her..
I hear her heart thumping wildly against her chest." It's going to be okay. I won't let him hurt you." I mind link her.
He takes another slow step towards her, I watch his movements carefully.
" For crying out loud Elliot will you just kill the girl!! Stop being overly dramatic!" I hear Satin's voice a second before she appears from behind the trees. Jude and two hunters step out behind her.
Ah.. so the entire crew was here.. that's good. I had a score to settle and I wouldn't leave this place until I was done with them.
" Did you know murder is an art? There's beauty about the act. I just want to create the perfect painting." Elliot says as he takes the final step to where Greta lies helpless on the ground.
He squats down besides her and roughly yanks her by the hair. I see her wince in pain. But she doesn't let out a single sound. Typical Greta. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
" Let her go Elliot." I calmly say.
He doesn't listen but continues to roughly tag on her hair. The moment he places the knife at her throat, my eyes start to glow.
"You really should let her go. I won't ask again." I caution.
" You're all bark with no bite sweetie. I suggest you step aside and await your turn. I intend to kill you myself. I don't know how you survived last time." Satin's irritating voice rings in my ears.
I look around mentally taking note of all their positions. Elliot was in my direct line of vision, satin and Jude to my left...
Wait!
Where the fuck were the hunters??
Crap!
I hadn't kept my eyes on them and now I wasn't sure where they were.
Then I feel movement behind me and I know. They were right behind me and I was now totally surrounded. It was five against one. I was single handedly going up against five of them. I was greatly out numbered but strangely, I was up for it.Pretty tough odds honestly. Especially since I was an amateur. I'd never been in a fight my whole life. This would be the first.
" Are you sure you want to put up a fight? I mean I'd really like to see you try. It would make my victory so much sweeter." Elliot mocks.
I weigh my options.. I had three actually. One, to call my mate,
Secondly, to stay and fight it out, thirdly, to stay and fight it out still. I couldn't run and leave my sister behind.
I go with option two." I guess we are doing this then." Zane says with conviction.
" Mmhh. And we are going to use this as some form of training. We've wanted to see how far we can go with our gift. I think this is the perfect opportunity."
" Am all in! Let's go crazy on these suckers!" Zane exclaims.
I can hear the excitement in his voice.Yeah! We were really going to enjoy this training session.
A cheshire grin spreads across my entire face.
" Bring it on Elliot. You have no fuckin idea what you just got yourself into. None of you do."
