River Blair.

I race through the woods, expertly manauvering my way around the trees. The wind  slapping my face and threading it's invisible fingers through my hair. I felt wild, free. This was one of the things I loved to do.
Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Sebastian trying to keep up. He wasn't that bad, infact he was giving me a great challenge.. he was an Alpha after all. I could give him a run for his money though. I smile, determined to give him a race of his life time. I face forward and triple my speed .

"Is that all you've got Alpha?" I taunt through the mind link.

" You have no idea soulmate!" Is all he says before I see his form rush past me so fast, my clothes ruffle.

What the actual Fuck!!

"I thought you were an olympic sprinter!!" Zane remarks, disbelief in his voice.

" So did I. Apparently I was fooling myself."
I pump my legs faster and when I almost catch up to him, I use the mind link to tell him that the stream was the finish line.
And I put my all in Winning this race.
We break through the trees almost at the same time, the stream just a few yards away. He beats me by just a few seconds..

He moves closer to me after catching his breath and pulls me into his arms. Then his lips find mine and I lose myself in the sweet feeling.

" You did great.." he complements after breaking the kiss and my heart swells with happiness.

I could feel the pride bubbling within him since I'd begun to feel his emotions.
I pull away with a smile and walk to a willow tree that's to the left, he's eyes never leaving me. I'd hidden a picnic basket just under it. I retrieve my prize and head back to him.
He takes off his shirt and lays it on the grass for me to place the basket. Then drops down on the grass.
I sit opposite him and start to off load it's contents.

-Four large beef sandwiches
-Two cans of coke.
-A bottle of orange juice
-A container of salad
-A piece of vanilla sponge cake
-And finally cookies.

I finally look up only to find him staring at me with wide eyes.

"Isn't that a little too much.. not that am complaining or anything."

I blush scarlet red..
"I just didn't know what to get so I kind of went overboard." I say.

He softly chuckles, a sound I'd come to love. Then grabs a sandwich and takes a bite.
I hold my breath, waiting for his reaction.
He slowly chews, then swallows. My eyes following the action.

" It's really good.!" he says then takes another bite.

" It better be.. I made them." I say, then grab my own sandwich.

We eat in silence for a couple of minutes, but not the awkward kind. His eyes don't seem to stray away from me though. I don't to mind though. I love the attention. It's electrifying.

" I knew you were fast on your legs but not this fast." he comments as he pops a can of coke.

" Is that why you're staring?"

"Yaaa.. among other things." he says with a small smile.

" What are the others then?"

"I missed you and I want to take in every detail of your face. And I so desperately want to kiss you again. I've missed your lips." he says

I blush madly. It feels like my face is on fire.

"And lastly I want to apologise to your wolf. For the night at the bar. I haven't gotten a chance to fully ask for his forgiveness."
