Sebastian's pov.

I lay in bed, River safely tucked in my arms. His head is on my chest with his hair sprawled everywhere.
I'd finally admitted the three little words. Whoever said they were little was a fool. There was nothing little about them. Telling someone you loved them was huge. 'little' was definitely an understatement.
But my heart was content. There's nowhere I'd rather be than with him. I'd been wanting to declare my love for some time now, but was too chicken. A small part of me was convinced he wouldn't feel the same, not with how I behaved in the past. Am actually ashamed of myself honestly.
How could I run away from something so beautiful??

" Foolishness runs in your veins. That's why." Onyx supplies.

I grunt at his statement.
He's probably right. I had an episode of foolishness that made me act irrationally.

" It wasn't just an episode! You've always been foolish. Foolishly In love with someone who isn't our mate!" the bitterness in Onyx's tone worries me.

I thought I apologized to him! Why is he so bitter.
" No you never apologized for all those times I had to listen to you fuck her and scream her name at the peak of your orgasm!"

Sweet goddess!! did he have to bring it up now?
" Onyx, you never complained then. Infact you surfaced at times."

" Think again! I never surfaced for all the times you actually fucked her. Not once!" he snaps.

Very true! Onyx would always retreat to the deepest parts of my mind when Satin and I had sex.

" Whatever you're fighting about with onyx is making zane restless." My mate's voice brings me out of the mental argument am having with my wolf.
He lifts his head up to get a better look at me and furrows his brows.

"Zane says onyx is mad. Why?" he questions.

"It's nothing babe. Just a little argument between human and wolf. They happen. Am sure you've had one of those." I say, hoping he believes me.

The truth would dampen the mood. And I wasn't ready for that.

He seems to be thinking about it for a second too long so I decide to change the subject.

" Am thinking of telling my dad about my other form." I state, running my fingers through his curls.
He sits up almost instantly, the abrupt shift in position exposing his goodies that are unclothed.
My eyes involuntarily trail down his exposed dick, down to his thighs and I find myself getting hard.
He follows my gaze and blushes scarlet, before flipping the bedcover and using it to cover up.

"Shit!" he mutters, clearly embarrassed.

I chuckle softly, enjoying his discomfort. This definitely wasn't the guy who had walked butt naked into the stream yesterday.
This one was acting shy and timid, it was actually sexy.
I must be staring so hard because he clears his throat to grab my attention.
I look up at him and I guess there's something in my eyes because he's blush deepens.

He looks absolutely breathtaking.

"Stop looking at me like that."

" Like how babe?" I ask seductively.

" Like you want to eat me up. Like am some meal."

"But I do want to eat you up. You're not just some meal, you're the meal." I flirt.

His grey eyes darken immediately and I smell his arousal.
I loved how fast his reactions were..
He fiddles with his fingers before regaining his speech.

"So.... about you turning Huxembeast. I don't think it's wise for you to tell anyone. Just like I don't intend to disclose the fact that I can manipulate water." he explains.

" Why is that?" I ask. I didn't want to hide more secrets from my dad.

My mate starts to speak animatedly.

"Look at it this way.. these abilities can be our secret weapons. Our enemies won't be able to know how much power we have. I believe most wars are won by not disclosing all your battle tactics and weapons. It kinda gives your opponent the upper hand if they know you inside and out. With what we can do, we will be able to take them by surprise. Believe me, they wouldn't know what hit them."

I could see his point of view. We could outsmart these hunters.

" How did you get to be so smart?" I ask, genuinely impressed.

" Oh I was conceived in broad day light! You know, the brighter the day, the brighter your brains will be.."

We stare at each other and burst into laughter. So he was extremely funny too.
I grab him by the neck and pull him towards me before sealing our lips together. Kissing him was something I would never tire of. He always tasted  sweet. And with every kiss, I was left breathless and wanting more.
He slightly pulls away before whispering.

"We have training to do Alpha."

Right! That had definitely skipped my mind.

" It can wait." I try reaching for him again. He pulls away, but not before I steal a kiss.

" No it can't babe. Remember the pack comes first. And maybe you can teach me a thing or two in your arena. Gladiator style!"

An image of us sparring, half naked bodies glistening with sweat forms in my mind and I smirk.

" Now that doesn't sound so bad Alpha Mate." I say huskily.

" Cool! I need to use the bathroom. Give me a minute. Then we can go." he says.
He doesn't shift from his spot on the bed though.

" Turn around!!" he snaps at me when I keep my gaze on him.

Really!

" Urrggh fine. It's not like I haven't seen what you're trying to hide boo." I tease as I turn the other way.

He gets off the bed and scurries into the bathroom. I burst into laughter. My mate was simply adorable.
When I hear the bathroom door shut behind him, I reach over to my bedside table and grab my phone.
I really think it was a waste of time purchasing the device. I rarely use the thing. Well except to play candy crush, that game was addictive. And to chat with the gang maybe. Other than that, I had no other use for it.
I go through my group chats first.

Shane:  am thinking of getting a cat.   Does anyone know the perfect breed?

Casper:  Actually I do😁. The perfect cat breed is called WOMAN. They've got perfect cat eyes and can do the catwalk too.

Elliot:  😂😂😂😂😂.. Cas you're so fucked up man!

Greg:  🤦

Shane: Casper go Fuck your self!

Greg:  Shane why a feline??? It's not like you could get along! You're a wolf for fucks sake!

They were definitely crazy! I decide to play Abit of candy crush, my mate hadn't yet come out of the bathroom.
A loud crash, followed by a pained scream come from said bathroom. I leap off the bed and rush to the door, pulling it open immediately.

But the sight that greets my eyes catapults me into absolute panic.
