Sebastian's POV.

I stand just a few feet away and wait for my mate to talk to this Marcus. When Blair told me he was friends with the guy who used to bully him, I lost interest in whatever he had to say.

" sebastian doesn't trust you. So he won't speak to you. But am willing to listen. Not now though. I need time to recover. I'll get in touch." I hear my mate say, not that I was intentionally listening in.
I just wasn't far away and.....yeah.
Blair turns and walks over to me, I throw my free arm around his shoulders and we step out into the  hot sun.
I steer the both of us towards my car, Casper right behind us. As we approach, I see Elliot leaning against my trunk staring at his phone with a frown on his face. When my mate notices him, his steps falter Abit but he quickly regains his footing.

Weird.

"Hey man.. what are you doing here?" I ask when we get to the car. Elliot steps away from the trunk and gives me side hug and I feel Blair stiffen beside me..

Weird again... But I ignore it.

" I just thought I'd catch you guys since I didn't get to visit while your mate was in." he says with a smile, his eyes straying to Blair whose expression is unreadable.

"Am glad you're okay.. you got everyone worried you know." he tells my mate.

Blair smiles at him. His smile insanely sweet.

" Thanks Ellie, am glad I didn't get to die. This world would be shit without my presence." My mate says.
But the way he says it unnerves me.
I look back at him and that smile is still plastered on his face.
It was starting to get creepy.

" So you never found out what happened to you?" Elliot questions.

" Oh no.. sadly I didn't. I can't seem to remember a damn thing. But when I do, I'll be dancing on their graves after I mangle their bodies. I will sink my non existent claws into them and rip them apart." As he says this, he slowly moves towards Elliot till he's in his personal space, his smile never faltering. Infact it brightens.
I can feel the tension in the air.. its thickness was starting to suffocate me.

"Uh guys! Is Everything okay?" Casper asks, looking as confused as I am.

" Great Cas, everything is just peachy." Blair says as he steps away from Elliot and walks to the passenger side door. I look at Elliot wondering what the hell just happened but he seems more angry than confused.
"I'll see you around guys." he says before quickly walking away.

And I stare at his retreating back.

" Will you unlock the fucking car! Am barefoot and the hot gravel is poking my feet!" My mate snaps at me.

Shit! Totally forgot about his feet!.

I fish for the keys in my pocket and unlock the car.
He gets in and bangs the door closed and am left wondering what the hell just happened.

Did I miss something??

I turn to Casper who just shrugs his shoulders.

" Don't look at me man.. I don't know what the fuck just happened." he says and climbs into the back seat.

I get to the driver's side and get into the car, then drive away from the Infirmary.
My mate is quiet and there's this deadly silence that fills the entire car.
I reach over and gently grab his hand that's lying in his lap and he lets me. I can feel the anger and hurt bubbling within him but for the life of me I couldn't understand why.
Am heading towards my cabin when he suddenly speaks up.

" Take me home."

" I don't think it's safe for you.. but if you insist am coming with. Am not leaving your side ever again." I say as I change direction and head to his cabin.

" There's no need for that. Everyone's home. And I learnt my lesson, am never riding solo ever  again. That shit almost cost me my life." he says looking angrier.

True, there were people in his house, but I couldn't trust anyone at this point. My circle of trusted friends was very small.
I don't say a thing but continue to drive down the road.
I could sense he wasn't himself.. something changed back at the Infirmary but I couldn't figure it out. I keep going through everything that happened back then but nothing comes up. Was it the fact that I refused to talk to Marcus?? Did that piss him off?
But that couldn't be it.. it just didn't make sense.

I pull up infront of his cabin and he quickly opens the door but I hold his hand. He slowly turns to me.

" If you sense the slightest danger, please tell me. Okay?" I say quietly.
I couldn't survive if anything happened to him again.
He looks at me and I watch as his face fills with love and he looks at me like am his universe.
He then closes the space between us and I feel his lips on mine.
He pulls back a minute later..

" I'll be okay. And yes, if I feel threatened in any way, you'll be the first to know. I'll see you later tonight."

I kiss him one last time before letting him out of the car. I watch him walk to the front door, and right before he enters, he turns back and waves. I wave back then start the car.
I drive away from my mate and head for the training grounds.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going on with him.

"Aren't you going to say anything." Casper's voice comes from the back and I almost crash the car. I struggle with the wheel till I get us back on track.

Fuck this guy!!

I'd totally forgotten about his existence.

"You idiot! Next time give me a warning before you scare the shit out of me!"

" No will do.. it was fun watching you yelp like a little girl."

"Shut the fuck up! I didn't make a single sound."

"Are you sure??? Because am sure I heard a squeak."

" I'll toss you out under the hot sun if you keep insisting." I threaten.

" Okay fine! Now back to your mate. What happened back at the Infirmary? Because am confused as fuck. One minute he was okay then the next he's throwing threats to unknown people." Casper says.

"I don't understand it either." I admit.

But one thing was crystal clear....
There was something my mate wasn't telling me. And I intended to find out one way or another.
