December rolled round quicker then ever. Days were uneventful, there were slight complaints about defence against the dark arts class. Students were quite for the thought of having the imperious curse used against them but i don't think Moddy really cared. Whenever he said he was going to teach something dangerous, he meant it.

Sophie had read that letter all of a week ago and still hadn't wrote back. She hadn't told anyone ether, even Harry. He asked her once but when she just shook her head and walked away he never spoke about it again. I mean yeah she was a baby but how come she had no memory what so ever of living with Remus? It's a lot to forget about isn't it.

"Sophie." Hermione's voice called one Saturday morning. "Sophie look."

Sophie opened her eyes slightly before seeing Hermione smiling towards the towers window in  the girls dorm. She followed the girls gaze and looked through the glass revealing a lot of white.

"Snow!" Sophie yelled rushing over to the window.

The school ground was covered in the whitest of snow. There was the Black Lake in the distance all iced over looking very sparkly. The tree's were covered in it, like very thick blankets resting over them. It was still falling from the sky in the most gracious way. They could see Hagrid pulling a large Christmas Tree into the entrance hall from the window too. Although it was only nine am, on a weekend students were already up out of bed and outside playing in it. Sophie had always loved snow, never allowed out in it she was made to watch the kids have fun.

So sharing a quick glance with Hermione, Sophie rushed towards the bathroom and threw on a pair of leggings, turtle neck top, the fluffiest of jackets and her purple scarf. She took that scarf everywhere with her. It was the scarf she was burred in when she was dumped at her aunts. She'd always had it.

When she left the bathroom Hermione was looking at her as if she was a child on Christmas morning. "Soph." Hermione laughed. "It's only snow."

"Yes yes Mione only snow." Sophie repeated sarcastically shoving her small boots over her little feet. "But snow is my favourite thing." She beamed up at the girl before strutting down the spiral staircase and into the common room. "Morning." She sang walking over to the door even though she hadn't looked at anyone, or if anyone was actually in the room.

"Sophie?" Harry questioned with a slight chuckle. "Where are you going this early?" Sophie didn't reply. She just turned around and hung her scarf up in the air with a huge grin imprinted on her face. "Ahh the snow." Harry laughed.

Sophie nodded before turning to the door, only to be stopped by two tall gingers making their way into the common room. "Hi and bye." Sophie waved squeezing between them.

"Wait wait." Fred started, pulling the girl back in front of them. "Where are you off too?" He asked looking her up and down seeing she was wrapped in warm clothes i think he got the idea as he began to nod, still not letting go of her shoulders.

"Snow." Harry said from behind them. "She's a child."

"I am not a child." Sophie said defensively. "You try growing up with Marge."

"You try growing up with the Dursleys." He argued back in a joke.

Sophie shook her head quickly. "What and live with Dudley, your joking." She pulled a disgusted face. "Any way." She sang turning back around to face the twins and ruffling their hair. "I'm off."

"Wait." Fred said again. "I'll come with you. Make sure you don't fall in the black lake or something because you were following a bunny." He laughed.

"I am not a child." She said pointing a finger in his face.

"Okay then." He smirked grabbing her hand. "Ill take your word for it."
