Mission for Potter

"A werewolf!" Sophie laughed eyeing Fred slightly to see any humour in his face but there was nothing. Just blind and unreadable looking back at her. Sophie's stomach turned, it couldn't be possible, it just couldn't. How wouldn't she have been able to tell. No it wasn't right he wasn't a werewolf.

But again, he was in the hospital wing every time she was, he always felt and looked ill closer to the moon, he knew about Sophie for one and another was all the scars on his face. He blamed them on childhood accidents but clearly they were too big for falling down the stairs of skidding across the road, looking back now his excuses were terrible.

But wouldn't he have said something? If he knew about Sophie, or was her gut feeling right all along, he was bad. But why hadn't he done anything about it. This was all so confusing, she couldn't grasp the idea of her friend being evil, even Draco wasn't mentioned but after that piece of information she couldn't help but think that whatever the two were up too, they were doing it together.

"Sophie." Fred sighed grabbing both of her hands this time and looking at her with sad eyes. "I know this is a lot to take in, he's your friend, but you need to trust us, trust me."

"Of course I trust you." She said looking up at him, "it's just a lot to take in like you said."

"Come here." He said pulling her to his side and locking her in his embrace. He leant his head over hers taking in the scent of lavender from her shampoo as he felt her cry silently. His hand was rubbing circles on her back just simply enjoying being this close to her again, it was horrible not being able to see her every day, being so far away out at work whilst she was at school. He knew it would be difficult being away but never thought the war would be getting this severe, and she had no idea what was going on outside of Hogwarts walls.

"Hey remember Fleur Delacour?" He asked as the girl pulled away and wiped her tear stained eyes. Good news was something that needed to be passed around right now.

"Yeah." She smiled remembering her fourth and first year. It was strange how far she had come, from being that scared orphan child, even afraid to get her own wand to now being surrounded my more family and friends then she had even wished for. Granted she has now to suffer with Lycanthropy she wouldn't change her adventure for the world. Maybe apart from her best friend dying in front of her eyes she had already had an amazing time at Hogwarts, and she was ready to fight for that life for the future generation, maybe even her own child one day would attend Hogwarts.

"Well guess who she's engaged too?" He asked with a smirk raising his eyebrows up and down.

"If you say you were going to be having a serious conversation." She pointed giving him a stern look covering her sarcasm.

"Shut up you." He laughed planting a kiss on her cheek. "William Arthur Weasley is engaged."

"No way!" She giggled. "Who'd have thought."

"I know yeah." Fred agreed nodding his head. "Quite the shock, I don't think mum likes her too much considering the whole Veela stuff but Bills in love and I'm happy for him."

"Bless, I'm sure she'll come around." Sophie agreed.

"He's due home soon." Fred whispered after finishing off his drink. "Remus."

"Will you tell him to write to me?" She asked following suit and finishing her own drink.

"Course I will." Fred said placing a couple knuts down on the table the two were sat on. "Come on, I miss Zonkos."

Sophie smiled to herself thinking back at the twins school time, a constant nag for tricking and pranking both students and teachers. Every time without fail they brought a smile to people's faces and it was really turning quite dull without them. She missed having Fred around but she knew that he was happy outside of school and with a shop of his own, saying something about missing him being around might come across selfish so she kept her mouth shut.
