"I'm not talking to you." Sophie huffed walking towards transfigurations beside Draco.
"Please I'm sorry." He whined as they turned the corner again. "I promise i won't do it again okay?"
"Don't believe you." She shrugged walking into class and sitting down in her seat, Draco standing above her narrowing his eyes. "Don't look at me that way Malfoy, I can't believe you brought me all the school work whilst i was in the hospital."
"I was worried about your grades!" He laughed remembering the look on the girls face as he walked into the hospital wing, homework for her in hand.
"Mr Malfoy if you would gladly take a seat." Professor McGonagall scowled walking past the boy as Neville sat down beside Sophie. "Today we will be transfiguring a hedgehog into a small cushion." The teacher beamed viewing her class. "Pair up and begin, spell and movement is on page 63."
"Got any clue how to actually do this?" Neville asked the girl opening up his book and turning to the correct page.
"Cushion-ey-isa." Sophie knitted her brows together aiming her wand at the animal whilst holding her breath, when nothing happened she exhaled and shook her head at the boy.
"Vera Verto." Neville rolled his eyes aiming the wand at the spiky animal watching as it turned into a soft pillow.
"Oh i could just sleep on that!" Sophie exclaimed grabbing it and lying her head above it on her desk snoring quietly as she pretended to be asleep.
"Miss Potter, glad to know my lessons bore you." McGonagall interjected stifling a laugh as the girl placed her head in her hands and smiled at the teacher. "Would have thought Mr Lupin would have had a nice effect on you and your studies but you remind me of your father even more every day." She said with a stern look.
Sophie didn't know what it was that came over her but she found her insides melting, a smile crept its way onto her face as she repeated over and over in her head what her transfigurations teacher had said. Neville patted her shoulder nicely and smiled as he realised the girl had stopped and almost mentally left the classroom.
The girl transfigured the cushion back into a hedgehog for the final time before packing up her things and leaving the classroom for lunch. She was walking beside Neville when Luna popped up out of nowhere, she smiled and greeted the two following them towards the hall. Sophie definitely thought Hogwarts was quite strange without Fred and George around being complete idiots however it wasn't something stressing her out completely, maybe it hadn't been long enough.
"So what was Malfoy moping about this morning." Harry asked once Sophie took a seat from across him pyling her plate with sandwiches, this whole werewolf thing definitely made her more hungry than usual.
"Nothing." She shrugged taking a sip of the pumpkin juice beside her plate. "I told him i didn't want to talk to him because he brought me homework whilst i was in the infirmary, after a bloody full moon." The girl gilled obviously joking. "After a full moon tsk he should know better."
"You told him!" Hermione yelled into her ear causing the girl to wince in alarm. "You told Malfoy about your- your."
"Fury little problem." Ron laughed picking up what Remus used to call it.
"Sophie I don't think you should be telling everyone." The bushy haired girl reasoned shaking her head.
"Especially Malfoy, he's a-"
"Harry!" Hermione exclaimed. "I've had enough of your assumptions."
"What assumptions?" Sophie asked after taking another bite of her sandwich.
"Oh nothing" Ron rolled his eyes. "Your brother thinks Malfoy's a, you know. That he works for you-know-who."
"A death eater!" Sophie spluttered mumbling an apology as Neville's hand shot up clapping right over her mouth.
"That's exactly what he thinks." Hermione snarled.
"Well, you know him best?" Harry said nodding at his sister, "recon he is?"
"Haven't a clue, and quite frankly i don't care." She huffed crossing over her arms.
"What do you mean you don't care?" Harry spluttered. "Your a, people like him are recruiting people like you! What if he tells someone, Greyback already knows your already under the radar, if they find out Draco has strings attached to you, well you know what will happen!"
"He won't." Sophie shrugged.
"Sophie, I am not supporting Harry's crazy idea but he has a point." Hermione voiced, "but if you trust him. I trust your judgment."
"Yeah even if it's going to get her killed." The chosen one mumbled. "Sophie you need-"
"I don't need anything Harry." Sophie whined placing her hands on her head. "Fine say he is one, and fine say he tells the others that's my problem not yours."
"Your my family Soph of course it's my problem." Harry groaned.
"Really?" She snapped standing up. "Because last time i checked, Sirius was your only family remember!"
"Oh don't give me that." He spat standing up too, the siblings staring at each other only the large wooden table blocking them. "Don't act all innocent Sophie, you've been spending all your time with Remus, or curled up in bed with Fred. So don't give me the family talk!"
"Your sad." Sophie stood back in shock her fist bundled at her sides, her knuckles going white. "Piss off Harry."
That was the last thing the girl said before bolting out the hall, the rest of the day she spent in a mood with her brother she didn't even go to dinner. She was walking around the corridors alone when everyone had returned to the common rooms, she didn't feel like heading up yet so instead she took a detour, right into the library.
Sophie smiled up at the librarian, Madam Pince before scanning the shelves of books looking for something, anything to read. She soon found herself curled up in a window seat a old copy of Charles Dickens 'hard times' in her lap as she leaned on the cold surface. She hadn't a clue what the book was about when she picked it up, it had a nice cover.
She was reading for hours and she didn't even realise, the sun was setting creating a pink marshmallow like pastel colour in the sky, the outlines of the forbidden forest trees sticking out in front of it. Only was she disturbed from the book when a deep, sweet voice cleared their throat. She looked up to see a nervous looking boy she had never seen before, he had deep blue eyes, long brown hair and a crooked smile, his face was littered in freckles she noticed.
"Can i help?" She asked closing the book and sitting on the edge of the sill.
"It's 9pm, library is closing thought i'd just let you know?" He smiled looking over at the grandfather clock in the corner.
"Wow i didn't realise how late it was." She blushed a little standing up. "How come your in here late?"
"Just wanted to read and got a little carried away, quite like you." He beamed. "Mason" the boy said holding out his hand.
"Sophie." She smiled taking it and giving it a shake.
