For the next couple of weeks Fred decided to spend every minute taking care of Sophie, even though every time she called him out and he denied, he still loved her more then ever, he still wanted to do anything to protect her. She tried to bring up the argument, to apologise in all honesty, she overreacted but she was hurt and she wanted to tell him that: but every time she did she was shot down the same way.
"I refuse to talk to you about it," the ginger would say shaking his head with a tut. "I told you I'm sorry and you don't have to forgive me, I was in the wrong now end of." And he would take her by the arm, lead her out into the greens and star gaze with her. This was their time, their space, they sat quietly and enjoyed it every time. Getting up to other stuff multiple times, but that wasn't the point, she practically felt her heart stitching itself back together however deep down she knew, fatal or not it wouldn't last.
That's where they were the morning of what was to come out in the lawn, unfortunately they had fell asleep, tangled up in each others limbs. It was Ginny who woke them.
"Look what we have here," she laughed walking out of the back door with two steaming cups in hand. The pair woke up in sync, rubbing their eyes and sitting up in a crouch. "Here mum made cocoa, she's had to go on some order work this morning, so it's just me and George here." The youngest Weasley said as she lent down, handing over the hot cups.
Fred took a large sip as Sophie twirled hers around in her hand she figured the cup was just a normal chocolate but something was off, it smelt strange but an intriguing smell, a controlling scent. "So what about your aunt?"
"Oh she's still here," Ginny laughed, "but it's hardly isn't it? We never see her anymore, oh and she told me to put something in your drink, it helps with the pain?"
Sophie thought for a minute then nodded, she remembered the medicine she had previously been given but there was more then enough left for another month or so, what was the deal? She rose it gently to her lips and drank, half the cup had been consumed when she lowered the glass, leaving a small leafy taste on her lips; something natures. She swallowed the flavour left on her tongue, it definitely had a hint of her medicine but there was something different in this batch, something addicting.
"You okay Soph?" Fred said tapping her lightly on the shoulder, "you look out of it is something wrong?"
She looked up and snapped back to reality, her pain had gone, the nausea in her stomach, the pounding in her head; gone. "I feel, i feel fine. Great actually." She said jumping to her feet. Spinning around freely without being overpowered by the sicky feeling she smiled, she was feeling better, completely, like she had never been poisoned.
"Okay okay princess don't overdue it your still ill," Ginny laughed grabbing the girls upper arms. "Anyway, George has headed to the shop, to take a little look, they're tracking our apparation but it's only the diagon alley right?"
"We should be fine." Fred announced standing up, "I'm going to go and meet him."
"Hang on i already told him i would go and help him sort out," she hissed grabbing her older brothers jumper and pulling him back. "Plus someone needs to stay with her."
"Hey hey hey," Sophie said taking responsibility of her decisions, "I feel fine let me come please?"
"No," Ginny said immediately. She shook her head looking from a shocked Fred to a angry Sophie, "we're being tracked, we'd be fine apparating but what would they do if they saw Sophie Potter going with?"
"I'll side along," she shrugged as if it was the most simplest thing in the world. "Please Ginny, I just want to get out the house, now preferably while i feel well."
The ginger looked at the brunette then her brother multiple times before sighing in an annoyed tone, "If we get in trouble i'm blaming the pair of you."
Sophie smiled largely and pulled Ginny into a tight hug, hugging her back the Weasley couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl. She was stuck in a house full of siblings without her own, ill because of one of her old friends and unable to see her godfather because of said issue. She was struggling, especially alone every full moon. The howls Ginny would hear in the night broke her.
"Well, in just going to change and then we can go," she said pulling away. She smiled up at Fred before walking back into the house to ready.
"If she gets hurt," Ginny started pointing a finger at her brother as they walked into the house.
"She won't," he cut her off short with the swipe of his hand. "You really think I'm going to let her go through more pain Gin? Look at her already."
"I know you wouldn't Fred, trust me but you can't always protect her." She sighed.
"I can always try," he forced the conversation to a slim. Opening the door he walked into the kitchen frustratedly and placed his mug in the sink. "I promise her that."
