"Sophie." A voice whispered. "Sophie." It sang. "Oh my god Sophie wake up!" Now the voice was shouting.
Sophie tossed and turned to the voice before deciding she should check what it wanted. So after five minutes of ignoring it she lifted herself up and leant on her bed's headboard and watched her brother run back and forth around the bedroom they shared.
"Harry?" She said quietly getting the boy's attention. "Why are you rushing?"
"Because" He sang crossing his arms. "Somebody wouldn't get up and we are being picked up by Mr. Weasley in less then ten minutes." He pouted.
Sophie looked to the left at her bedside table where the clock showed it was in fact 11:48, Mr. Weasley was picking Harry and Sophie up at 12. "Oh crap." She sprung herself out of bed and grabbed her folded up clothes and descended to the bathroom.
Sophie brushed her teeth before applying the littlest bit of makeup, blush, mascara and lip gloss. She the combed her hair out letting it lay down on her shoulders perfectly. She changed into a pair of dark black jeans and a tank top covered over with a mustard yellow and black checked flannel top. She then just threw a pair of black converse on and fled the bathroom to make sure she had everything else ready.
Mr. Weasley wasn't lying when he said he was going to arrive at the Dursleys at 12, with exactly a minute to go Harry and Sophie grabbed their things, said goodbye to their aunt and uncle along with their cousin and left the house. There he was, sat in a light blue, sort of battered looking car just outside their drive way.
"What happened to the car?" Sophie whispered as they closed their front door.
"Long story short, me and Ron kind of decided it would be cool to drive it to Hogwarts, in our second year." He giggled.
"Idiots." Sophie whispered as they got in the back of the car.
"Hello Harry!" The ginger man yelled. "And this must be Sophie, how are you?" He asked keeping his eyes on the road ahead.
"Im great thanks Mr Weasley." She replied softly.
"Call me Arthur." He smiled. "Let's be off then shall we kids." He yelled again before the car began to descend from the ground and sore into the air.
Sophie couldn't believe it. This was the world she was supposed to live in, full of magic and flying cars. The height or speed didn't scare her she was in too much of a trance to even think about everyone seeing them, surely a flying car wasn't normal. Right?
~
After an hour or two of flying they finally landed in a over grown field accompanied by what looked like a small hobbit with multiple floors glued on the top. But Sophie knew better, she was told all about Harry's world and Hogwarts, she knew it must have been magic.
"We're home." Arthur sang as we became closer the the house.
That is when Sophie's nerves stooped in and she stopped walking all together. She just stood there gawping at the house in front of her. Was she ready for this life? Was she ready to meet all these new people, with..magic? Would it be much different or was she just overthinking it.
"There nice people Soph." Harry said placing a comforting hand on his sister's shoulder. "Loud but nice." He giggled. "You don't need to worry about anything, they'll love you."
Without even saying another word Sophie found her self steps away from the front door. Arthur entered first followed by Harry, who was slowly followed by Sophie.
But when Sophie entered there was no one there. She looked around the house seeing many magical things, she saw knitting needles needing what looked like to be a small blanket, by itself. Pot's and pan's washing themselves in the kitchen sink. What fascinated Sophie the most was the clock the Weasleys had. It had nine handles, each held a face of what she presumed to be a family member. Gosh they had a big family, seven children, six boys one girl, and their parents. One she recognised as Arthur, Mr Weasley.
