Christmas had come and gone now, the children had returned to Hogwarts the day before last after spending three weeks at Grimmauld place, Snape had been round every single day since to teach Harry and Sophie Occlumency but not really getting anywhere. Remus and Sirius obviously wasn't a fan listening to their god children yell in pain at the spell as they tried to fight it off.

Sophie had confronted Remus about her missing memories but he claimed he had no idea what she was talking about and when she explained what she saw he simply told her he forgot. He was lying obviously but Sophie left it, she told herself she would write to him and be serious as she couldn't be angry face to face with the man she saw as a father figure.

The train ride back to school was long as usual, Sophie sat with the twins and Lee whilst her brother was no doubt gossiping to Hermione and Ron about the recent events. Not that Sophie minded him telling his bestfriends stuff but they had been nagging her about what she saw after talking to Remus, so she knew any questions they asked would be about her.

Sophie was sat in the library thinking back at the memory of her mother and Remus when the sudden slam of books startled her out of her daze. "Sorry." A cool voice mumbled before a tall, pale, platinum blonde boy sat across from her. "I didn't expect that to scare you, are you feeling alright you look off?" Draco asked sympathetically.

"I, no im fine." She shrugged opening her potions book.

"You sure." He raised his eyebrows at the girl who was obviously avoiding eye contact. "You can talk to me you know, if something's going on."

"I know." Sophie smiled. He was right, she could talk to him and she trusted him but this was something she didn't want to talk to anyone about, only Remus. And he wasn't telling her anything. "Hey Draco, do you have any spare parchment?"

"Yeah." He nodded ripping a piece of paper from his writing pad and handing it to the girl. She took out her quill and opened her pot of ink before writing a letter to her godfather. She wanted answers.

Remus

I know you told me you forgot, and that you didn't know my memories had been tampered with but I can't ignore that they have been. I don't know who by or why, and i didn't even know that all that happened with you and my mum until Snape looked through my memories.

If you know anything, please tell me. I deserve to know i am not a child Remus i need the truth, sooner rather than later. Even if you don't know what happened, surely you must have some assumptions i mean, you and Sirius are probably looking for answers right? There's no chance that i told you the news and you are remaining calm about it. And it's a pretty hard thing to forget isn't it. That someone's after me so excuse me if i don't believe you.

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings Remus, but it's just confusing.. all of this. I deserve to know why my mother and father gave me away don't you think. And i know you all say it was for the best but im not stupid. Harry stayed, until they died. They gave me away at least a year before, so why.

Regards

Sophie.

"You wrote a bit quickly there." Draco laughed nervously, "you sure your feeling alright Soph?"

"Perfect." She nodded before collecting her things and standing up. "I have somewhere i need to be, I'll talk to you later Draco." The girl smiled before leaving the worried boy alone in the library.

Sophie looked at the clock on the wall and saw it read 5pm, dinner was in two hours and the DA lesson started ten minutes ago, as usual she was late. She ran back to the common room and stuffed her things on the sofa, no one would bother with them. She stuck her letter in her robe pocket before leaving through the portrait hole and sprinting as quick as she could towards the room of requirement.
