They walked and walked and walked, right up until they reached the small cottage by the hill side. Guilt began to trip in, Sophie knew now if Mason was lying she had put her entire family at risk. But she couldn't back away now, not when she was this close.

"So this is your place?" Mason asked as they reached the front door, which had been left wide open.

"My place," she smiled as they walked thoroughly into the kitchen. She pointed at a chair for him, which he took slowly, before she turned to the cupboard and retrieved two glasses.

Careful not to get the drinks mixed up she handed one to him and sat down across, taking a sip of the cool liquid she smiled brightly at him.

"So," she began placing the cup down. "Where've you been all this time?"

"The woods, far in enough not to hurt anybody not too far in to get lost," he shrugged draining his cup.

"So all the animal attacks have been Greyback?" She asked tapping the table surface and looking closely at the boy. "All the innocent muggle attacks, they weren't you."

Mason shifted in his seat, slammed his glass down and pointed fiercely at the girl. "If you wanted to bring me here and accuse me of things then you should have said! I would've stopped you!"

"Is that a threat," she said calmly. "Because if it is your not acting quite well are you."

His eyebrows connected, he folded his arms and looked sternly at the girl. He was silent for a while staring down at the wooden table as if studying it, he looked back up at the girl and swallowed. "This isn't an act," he pointed at himself. "We're supposed to stick together Sophie me and you, people like us."

"People like us?" She laughed, "does that include Greyback and all his minions!" Her voice was raised now and she was a statement away from rising out of her chair.

"Werewolves!" He yelled. "The wizards don't want us! The vampires the mermaids! Nobody wants us!"

"Yeah cause we could live underwater," she rolled her eyes. "I said no! Mason how many times! I do not want to work with Greyback and if that's your choice then I don't want to work with you either!"

"Watch your tongue!" He screeched kicking the chair back and raising his wand threateningly. "I don't want to hurt you Sophie, I don't want to hurt anybody I just want a better life, I don't want to be afraid of people judging me because of who I am."

"Well then blame the man who turned you! Not everyone else," she argued.

"He's promised people like us a better life if we help him!" He yelled.

"I don't want to help him Mason!" She rose, wearing a face that would kill anyone if possible. "I've told you over and over again, NO MEANS NO!"

"YOUR BEING STUPID!" He rose too now pointing his wand, "Inca-"

"Expelliarmus!" A voice screamed and masons wand flew across the room high into the pale hand of Fred Weasley. "Get out!" He yelled.

"Awe look your boyfriends come to save you!" Mason taunted showing off his yellow pointed teeth. "Well you know what to do Sophie! You know he doesn't like you, your a monster, nobody could ever love you your an animal."

"GET OUT!" Fred screamed launching for the boy.

Mason swerved but grabbed the table for support, his eyes blurred and his jaw tightened. "You little bitch," he murmured before falling to the ground, face watching the still ceiling as his eyes closed.

"What did you do to him?" Fred asked as they carried the body to the dusty bomb shelter behind the cottage moments later.

"Remus hasn't been sleeping well," she shrugged, "he's gonna need more pills."

Fred laughed, Sophie's face turned to a dis pleasured look as they carefully ventured down the stairs. The room was bared with scratches, old mattresses lay on the floor, broken chairs in piles in the corner. Nobody other then the houses occupants had entered this before, she couldn't help but feel a little, embarrassed sort of, she felt like a monster.

"How did you know?" Sophie grunted slightly as they lowered the body to the floor, she used the same spell that had been used on her to tie him to the nearest thing. "That he was here I mean."

"Your necklace," he said pointing to the charm. "You remember how it works."

"Oh, yeah right," she whispered lowering her gaze to the jewellery.

They both left the room in silence, which followed all the way back into the house. "What's the matter?" Fred asked as she turned her back to him and began to clean the kitchen, "Soph?"

She continued to ignore him right up until she had finished sorting the mess. He followed her to the living area and sat beside her on the couch, a look of sadness on his face.

"Sophie speak to me," he whispered holding her small hands in his. "What's wrong?"

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears, "is it true?"

Fred's head shifted to the side slightly, a look of confusion conquered him. He opened his mouth and closed it again before letting go of her hands. "Is what true?"

"You know what Fred," she said wiping her eyes. "Do you hate me? Am I a monster to you?"

Once again he shifted, opened his mouth to answer but nothing came out. He looked at the girl in silence for what felt like hours before ether spoke again.

"Oh," she breathed. "Oh, right well then." She rose out of her seat, wiped her eyes and crossed her arms. "Get out."

"What?" He asked jumping from the couch, "Sophie no wait."

"No fred." She said sternly, "get out. Please."

"Sophie no listen to me," he flew over to the girl, attempted to cup her face but she pulled away, refusing to look at him.

"Fred, please leave, please." She said trying to hide the crack in her voice.

"Sophie don't do this," he retorted.

"All do respect," she forced a laugh. "But why would you wanna stay in the same room as a monster!"

"I never said that!" He yelled, sparking the argument between them.

"Well you didn't deny it ether!" She fought back pointing a warning finger at his chest. "Please, leave."

"Sophie," he said stammering backwards a little, tears growing in his eyes. "Sophie."

"If that's all you can say Fred leave," she turned her head away and stared out the window hoping he wouldn't make this hard.

She heard footsteps getting quieter and quieter, she heard the door knob twist and the wind fly by. "What are we?" She heard him say.

"I'm a monster," she stifled. "You? I don't know what you are Fred, a wizard perhaps."

Then the door slammed.
