"Get up. Get up. Get up!" A voice screeched entering the fourth year girls dormitory. Hermione and Sophie were the only ones in there still, and asleep. Lavender and Pavarti had disappeared earlier.
"Ginny it's only 11 and it's a weekend go back to bed." Hermione huffed from under her pillow.
"No." Ginny whined sitting on Sophie's bed and pulling the cover away. "Wake up." She nagged until the girls decided to get out of bed.
"Why Ginny." Sophie moaned. "Why can't you let me sleep."
"Because." Ginny smiled. "It's Christmas." She twirled round in circle's, her arms flowing around. She really was living a dream.
"I completely forgot." Hermione huffed springing up out of her bed and putting her slippers on. "Come on Sophie get up."
"No." She said putting her pillow over her head. But it was no use, Ginny grabbed her pillow and then her arms and dragged her from the bed and down the spiral staircase. "Ginny stop." Sophie sighed.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Harry giggled. He, Ron and the twins were all sat by the sofa talking among themselves. Ginny and Hermione stalked over to their seats whilst Sophie backed up to the stairs trying to sneak away again but was caught off guard when a first year bumped into her.
"Merry Christmas." The girl smiled up to her before wandering off out of the common room.
"Awe." Sophie sang sitting in front of the fireplace. "She was so cute."
"Your strange." George laughed. "She was only wishing you a merry Christmas."
"No one's ever wished me a merry anything." Sophie smiled looking up at her friends.
"Merry Christmas Soph." Harry smiled wrapping his arms around the girl, hugging her tightly.
Sooner or later they had all decided that they were going to open presents before heading to lunch. Presents and presents down the line it was finally time for Sophie to open hers. For Harry, she got a new pair of seeker modelled gloves for his Quidditch matches, Hermione the new book on, 'Powerful Potions.' She got Ginny some muggle makeup, she had the idea of buying her something from Hogsmeade but when she was rummaging through her trunk one day she found it and thought of Ginny immediately. Her gift to Ron was a large box of all sort of sweet stuff from Honeydukes which me instantly shot into.
"Breakfast first." Sophie swatted his arm taking the box away.
For Fred and George she got a new set of a 'make your own' box, brand new from Zonko's joke shop. She had seen the twins looking at it one day, admiring it but they hadn't enough money.
"Wicked." They muttered together. "Thanks Soph." George hugged the girl, as Fred thanked her he placed a kiss on her forehead getting an 'awe' from his brother.
"Here." Hermione smiled handing Sophie a wrapped package. "It's not much but, well i got caught up and completely forgot about Christmas."
Sophie smiled great fully at the girl before taking the present from her and opening it. Inside was a small snow globe, obtaining a moving picture of her and Harry. Sophie just stared at it in awe for a moment forgetting people were watching. "I knew how much you liked snow." Hermione giggled.
"Thanks Mione it's perfect." She said before showing Harry. "Look."
"Wow Mione." Harry gawped. "That's great."
"Okay my turn." Ron yelled. "I also forgot." He flushed. "But it's definitely not as good as Hermione's version of a forgotten present."
He handed her a small box with red wrapping, not the best wrapping skills. Inside was a pair of knitted gloves with the initial 'S' on the thumbs.
