17. Camping

"I'll drive, because you don't really know the roads yet." Derek said to me. "Alright." I said getting into a jeep not his normal truck.

"Where'd you get the jeep?" I asked. "It's been in the garage for a while, I barely use it because I'm usually going out with The kids and I don't want any of them falling out." He said. "Good choice."

"So, congrats hitting a million." Derek said while pulling out of the driveway. "Oh, thanks! I seriously can't believe I didn't lose any subscribers after like 2 months of not posting." I said.

I swung my feet up and leaned my chair back. "You've never ridden in a jeep before, have you?" He asked me smiling. "Well like once with Zack!" I said laughing.

"You like riding in it?" He asked me. "Hell yeah!" I said. "Well maybe this could be your car, I already have my truck." He said.

"REALLY?!" I yelled. We stopped at a stop light and he looked at me. "Yeah, why not?" He said smiling. "Why are you suddenly being so nice to me?" I asked him.

"I don't know, was I ever mean to you?" He said. "You- have- no idea." I said. He parked in the parking lot of the supermarket and we bout some things and drove home.

We started to blast music. "So who can't Cat come today?" I asked him. "She's just- she's been- like busy, I guess." He said. I looked at him while he said that. He looked at me and forced a smile.

"What?" He asked me smiling. "You guys broke up didn't you." I said.

Derek pulled up into the driveway. "How you know?" He asked. "I could tell. One of my guy friends back in NY tried to pretend that him and his girlfriend didn't broke up and he literally said exactly what you said."

He put the jeep in park and we got out. "Yeah." He said. "Who broke up with who?" I asked him. He looked at me. "She broke up with you." I said. "Damn you're on a roll." He said.

We walked in and he put his arm around me. We grabbed the things and brought then to the backyard. Everyone was sitting around the fire. "S'MORES ARE HERE!" I said out loud.

I sat next to Lily and Mitch. We all put our marshmallows over the fire. I grabbed my phone and took a picture and posted it on Instagram.

I captioned it. "#familyoutings" with a fire emoji and tagged pretty much everyone who had Instagrams.

I started getting spammed by all my subscribers who followed me on instagram.

After s'mores we set up the pillows in our tents. "GIRLS IN THIS ONE GUYS IN THAT ONE." I yelled out. We all ran into our tents.

We all got out and played on the playground and trampoline. We played music and danced around.

By then it was about 11:10, I put the younger ones to sleep and by 1:00 everyone was in their tents. I was the only one in my tent awake and I'm not sure about the guys.

It was about 1:20 and I realized we forgot to shut off the lights on the porch. I got up quietly and went to the porch. I shut them off. The waterfall was still running and the water was warm, so I decided to go for a swim.

I tied the back top of my bathing suit tighter and I took off my shorts and my pinnie. I went onto the diving board and dived in. I was swimming around and I started quietly started playing music.

Someone then jumped in. I looked around to see Derek. "You scared me." I said. "Sorry, I didn't mean to." He said. I saw over to the mini pool "bar" where there were chairs underwater.

Derek joined me and he grabbed out a beer. "Want one?" He asked me. "I can't finish an entire beer, I've only tried it once when I was like 16." I said.

"Then we'll half one." He took two more out and chugged them down. He said shutting the freezer. He popped it open and took a sip and handed it to me. I took a sip, it sent a shiver through my body, and I put it on the counter.

"So want to go into detail what happened between you and Cat?" I asked him. "So I went to the mall, and she saw me there. I was buying a bunch of things for my best friend who is also a girl, Cat got mad at me for it and she broke up with me."

"Wow, she seemed nice though." I said. "Yeah, but she's extremely sensitive." He said.

I took a sip of the beer and jumped into the water and Derek followed. "So what's the update on you and Zack?" He asked. I climbed up on the rocks that were on top of the waterfall and sat. "Well what do you mean?" I asked. Derek followed me and sat next to me.

The pool was lighting up with different colors. "Like are you guys official?" He asked while taking another sip of beer. I grabbed the beer from him and sipped it.

"I'm not really sure, like he never really asked me out. Like we act like we are but it's not really official. But I think it is, but I don't know. Plus I like just met him like a days ago." I said.

"So you guys aren't official." Derek said. "I don't think so." I shook my head. I smelt the alcohol in his breath.

"So it wouldn't be wrong if I did this."

Derek wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me in. He leaned in and kissed me. It was weird feeling our lips touch. But as the stupid 18 year old I am. I kissed him back.
