I realized I couldn't. I pulled away from the kiss. "Derek we can't." I said. "Why not?" He said.
"Number one, your drunk. Two, your just trying to kiss me because your drunk." I said. "No Avalon, I'm not drunk, two beers can't get me drunk." He said.
"Fine. Then number three, we live in the same house. The same orphanage. If we do this, and someone finds out, I'm kicked out of here, and I would have nowhere else to go." I said. "Avalon, no one will find out." He said.
I kissed him on his cheek. "Derek I'm, sorry, but we can't." I walked off the rocks and into the house. I took a quick shower to get all the chlorine out and I dried my hair. I put on shorts and a tee shirt and went downstairs into the tent and fell sleep.
The next morning I woke up and then woke all the girls up. We went out and they took showers and then helped me make breakfast. "Hey babe." Zack said hugging me from behind.
"Morninggggg." I said turning around and kissing him on the cheek. "Todays our last lesson, then summer." He said smiling. "Well lessons with you, aren't so bad." I said.
"Well teaching is hard and I'm glad it's over. We're obviously hanging out the summer and the rest if your life, but I'm gunna go take a shower and be right back." He said kissing my forehead.
I continued with setting up the table and Lily and Morgan made the pancakes. Mitch and Jack came down with wet hair. "Hey guys, Jack can you put the scrambled eggs on a plate and Mitch can you cut up the fruits I set out and put them in bowls?" They nodded and started.
It was about 6:10 when everyone came down. We all sat and the door rang. I got up and opened it to a guy.
"OH! Hey! You must be Jeremy." I said. "Yeah, and you must be Avalon." He said. "Guilty as charged, and did you have breakfast yet?" I asked. "No, but I'm not hungry." "Come on, join us. We've got enough." "Thanks."
He stepped in and I put a chair in between Morgan and Thomas's. He sat down. "What are you doing here so early?" Morgan asked. "We were planning to go on a morning jog remember?" He said.
"I TOTALLY FORGOT. I'm sorry, but I have tutoring today." Morgan said. "Hey, Morgan. It's your last day of tutoring this year. I could just call him and cancel." I said.
"Really?" She asked. "Yeah, let me get my phone." I stood up and grabbed my phone off the counter. I started playing music on my record player, then called her tutor, and cancelled.
She smiled at me and we continued to eat breakfast. At 6:50, everyone put their dishes in the sink and went to their spots for tutoring. Morgan changed into her jogging outfit.
"Avalon! Jeremy and I are leaving now!" "Do you have your phone?" "Yeah!" "We'll see you later!" I yelled.
"OH! Jeremy! We are all going out to dinner tonight, join us?" I asked. "Yeah, that's be cool." He said smiling. "Bye guys!" I yelled. "Bye!" They said in unison and ran out.
I quickly put the dishes into the dishwasher and ran up to my room. I pushed the window open and looked out and the sun was up and shining. I went into my closet and put on a navy blue, crop top from Hollister and my floral jean shorts.
I put on my black converse, applied mascara, and Zack knocked on the bathroom door. "Come on in!" I yelled.
He came up behind me as I was applying mascara and hugged me. I put on my glasses then walked outside and sat on my window sill.
"Let get on with today's lesson, shall we?" He asked. "We shall."
*One hour later*
"I hate physics but I'm so glad tutoring is forever done for me." I said smiling. "Same for me. Well actually same for just a few more months." He said. We laughed and walked downstairs. We sat everyone sitting there so we joined in.
About five minutes later, there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened to see Morgan and Jeremy. "How was the jog?" I asked. "Good, we went up to silver mountains then back." Morgan said.
"Nice, well Jeremy, we'll see you tonight, right? Wear your everyday clothes." "Yes mam." He said.
"Never call me mam, it makes me feel old. Just call me Avalon." I said laughing. "Alright, well see you later!" Morgan said. "Bye, Morgan." He said with a smile, and he walked away.
"So I'm guessing it went well." Logan said. Morgan smiled and went upstairs to take a shower.
When she got out and changed I brought her to my room. "So how was it?" I asked her.
"Absolutely amazing, like he is just such an amazing person, and like I am always happy with him." She said and yelled into my pillow.
"Hey, by the way, the feelings you are feeling right now, are completely normal." I said and lifted her head off of the pillow.
"And the reason I'm saying that is cause the first time I talked about someone like that, I was so scared that something was emotionally wrong with me." I said and laughed.
"Can I ask you something?" She asked. "Yeah duh."
"The first time you we're like this with someone, how did you two end up?" She asked.
"Man, that's tough, but I know the answer." I said. "Well what happened?" She asked me.
"I'm not telling you, because I know, if I tell you, you're going to compare that relationship with this one. I am not you, you're just going to have to give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, then when you're ready for it, you'll fall for another." I said and smiled at her.
She immediately pulled me into a hug. "Thank you." She whispered.
