10. Dinner

It was about 8 o'clock when Zack and Cat left. I went up to my room and took a shower to get all the chlorine off me. I got out of the shower and dried my hair, put on mascara, then put my contacts in. I put on another one of my floral sundresses. I then put on my converse.

I swung my backpack on my back again and I held my phone in my hand. Everyone was downstairs watching a movie. "What are you all dressy up for?" Thomas asked me making a face. "I'm going out for dinner." I said. "With who?" Morgan said smiling at me. Logan lifted up his eyebrow.

"A person." I said looking at all of them. "YOU'RE GOING WITH ZACK! Don't lie! I saw you blushing when you came back with the food today! He asked you out didn't he?" Morgan yelled out. Derek looked at me and smiled.

"You all need to get you nose out of my business." I said laughing. Everyone in the room went "Oooooo." And laughed. Zack then knocked on the door. "Ready?" He asked. "Yeah." I said kissing Lily on the head saying goodbye. "Do I get a goodbye kiss?" Jack said smiling. I kissed his cheek. "How about me?" Eli asked.

"Ugh." I ended up kissing everyone, when I got to Derek. I said. "You already ready got someone to do that for you." I said. He laughed, a first sign of warmth from him ever. "Bye guys! See you soon!" I said walking out. "Bye!" They all yelled.

"Where are we going?" I asked him. "Well since you're new, to this so called place called California. I'm going to show you the amazing things you could the see in a 3 miles area." He said.

"Meaning the boardwalk." I said smiling. "Well good job taking the excitement out of it." He said giving me a look.

I smiled at him. When we got to the boardwalk, the sun was just about setting.

"Woah, first. We sit on the beach and watch the sunset." He said smiling at me. "Well alright then." We sat on the sand. Just watching the sun set.

"First California sunset that I watched. Don't regret it." I said when the sun was gone. "Let's go." He said pulling me up off the ground.

I brushed the sand off my butt. "Wanna get on my shoulders again?" Zack asked me. I nodded my head. He got down and I hopped on.

"Are you hungry yet?" I asked him. "Nope!" He said. "Alright, when you're hungry, we'll go get a bite!" I said. "But I'm paying!" He said.

"Let's get smoothies though." He said smiling. "AHEAD WE GO TO TANGY MANGO!" I yelled at him.

We went into Tangy Mango, and got my Berry Smoothie, and Zack got a Strawberry Banana Smoothie.

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked while jumping back on top of his shoulders. "Whatever you wanna do."

I thought about things. "Is there a long boarding shop close by?" I asked. "You board?" He asked me. "Yup, but I stopped when my house got burned down, because it got burned down with my house." I said.

"Well yeah there's one over there, let's go." He said. When we got into the store, it was damn huge. Like three levels of everything. "LOOK AT THIS CRUISER." I yelled. It had a cool floral pattern on the bottom. I had to buy it. I picked it up and brought it to the cashier. We paid for it and left. "Dude I'm so happy I bought this." I said to Zack. He started laughing. "One day we need to go around on our boards with Derek and Cat too." Zack said smiling.

"That would be so fun, but we need I watch the kids too." I said. "Right." He said. "Well we should go to dinner now." I said smiling. "Were are we going?" I asked. "Over there." He said pointing. It was this restaurant with tables and seats in the water. When we got there we ordered as my converse were on the chair next to me

As we were sitting I saw Cat and Derek walk in. Wait he's suppose to be at the house watching the kids.

I texted him.

Avalon// What are you doing here?

Derek then looked at me.

Derek// Having dinner with my girlfriend.
Avalon// Who's watching the kids?
Derek// Avalon, Jack's got it all under control there.
Avalon// Are you sure.
Derek// YES I'm sure.

I looked at Derek and he mouthed. "It's okay." As our food came out I got a call from Jack.

Avalon// Hey Jack?
Jack// AVALON
Avalon// What happened? Is everyone alright?
Jack// NO, DEREK TOLD ME TO MAKE DINNER FOR EVERYONE AND LILY'S MOUTH LOOKS SWOLLEN AND STUFF AND SHE'S HAVING A HARD TIME BREATHING.

I was about to take a drink of my water when I got shocked and spilled it all over myself. Derek looked at me and I looked at him.

Avalon// CALL 911 AND I'LL BE RIGHT THERE.

I hung up. "Zack today we as fun but something happened back at home and I really have to go." I took my board and ran out of there as fast as I could, I left my converse behind and I got on my board and rode home as fast as I could. I almost rode into so many people and the board walk was so rough.

When I got there, there was an ambulance and two police cars in front of the house. They were just about to shut the doors to the ambulance and I stopped them. "I need to go with her." I said to them.

"Jack, when Derek, if, Derek gets home, tell him to drive all of you to the hospital." I said out. He nodded and I jumped into the ambulance. As we were driving away, I saw Zack running towards the kids.

I saw him get in his car and everyone else got in with him.
