I woke up on the couch, leaning on Jack's lap. "Jack wake up." It was 6:50 in the morning. The nurse came in. "Good y'all are awake. Lily will be able to leave at 7." She said and walked out.

I sat next to Lily and moved her hair out of her face. Her eyes started to open. "Morning beauty." I said to her.

She laughed and smiled. "Morning Avalon, morning Jack." She said. "You'll be able to leave in about thirty minutes so sit still.

I took out my phone and called Zack. About three rings later he picked up.

Zack// Hey how's Lils?
Avalon// She's good, she's able to come home now.
Zack// Need me to pick you all up?
Avalon// Can you please?
Zack// Yeah sure I'll be there soon.

I hung up. I sat on the bed next to Lily and she cuddled up to me. "Hey Avalon, can I talk to you? Like outside?" Jack asked. "Yeah sure." I said standing up.

"Look I really want to thank you. For everything you're doing for this family, the family that you're a part of. Ever since Derek started dating Cat, he's been out of the house more, she's an amazing person but she's always taking him from us. I'm usually left home with everyone else, but I was never asked to make dinner for them. I just really want to thank you for everything." Jack said hugging me.

"Anytime for anyone of you, bud." I said while pulling him into hug. "Hi, Avalon? Zack is waiting outside for the three of you, if Lily has anymore reactions ask for Nurse Maddie, that's me."

I lifted Lily up since she was still tired. I walked outside to where Zack was. Jack went and sat in the front seat. "Morning." I said kissing Zack's cheek.

I buckled up Lily, a few minutes later I carried Lily into the house. Everyone was awake with their tutors. Jack walked up to his room to meet with his tutor.

I asked Zack to go get two water bottles for both Lily and I. As I was walking up the stairs Derek walked down. He was about to say something when I cut him off.

"I don't want to speak to you." I walked passed him and into my room. The sun was up and shining today in California. I opened my window. I laid Lily down on my bed and sat down next to her.

Zack then came in with the water bottles. "Thanks." I put a blanket over Lily and then walked and sat on my window sill. "So tutor, what are we gunna learn about today." I asked.

"You still want to continue with todays lesson? Even with all the stuff that just happened last night?" He asked me. "Not really." I said.

"I'm still so mad at Derek." I said pulling out my Nikon and started to take some pictures of the view from my window.

I kept looking back at Lily to make sure she was okay. A few minutes of just sitting in my room. Lily woke up at around 8:20.

"Mornin Lil." I said smiling. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Do you all want to go out for breakfast today? None of us ate breakfast yet." Morgan said while coming into the room. "Yeah sure, let's all get ready and head to the boardwalk."

Everyone changed out of their pajamas. Zack took Lily to help her get changed. I put on a black skirt with spandex under, and loose grey t-shirt and tucked it in. I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair out, put mascara on, and then put my contacts in.

I walked out of my bathroom and tied on my black converse. I walked downstairs to where everyone was. I grabbed my black back pack, put my phone charger in it, my Nikon camera (In its own case also), my sunglasses, and some other stuff that the kids wanted me to carry around for them.

"LET'S GO EVERYONE!" I yelled out loud. Lily then ran downstairs and she motioned for me to hug her. I hugged her and then she went to walk with Morgan and Thomas. I needed to take attendance to make sure we weren't missing anyone.

"Derek Carter, Mitch Harris, Eli Cook, Jack Wells, Thomas Peters, Logan Porter, Morgan Porter, Lily Hicks." I said. Everyone said "Here!" After I called their names.

Cat then walked through the door. She gave me one of the most dirtiest looks ever. Like I did something that completely pissed her off. I ignored it and we walked to the boardwalk.

We got to a really cool breakfast spot where we ate on the roof of the restaurant and it had an awesome view. I sat with Mitch on my left and Eli on my right. Zack sat across from me. We all ordered and just sat.

The breakfast was literally the most awkwardest thing ever. We all sat so silent just eating. No word were spoken and no sounds were made.

We walked home in like a line. Cat and Derek were in the front, then all the kids, then it was Zack and I.

When we got home, even then, it was so quiet. I laid down in my bed with the sun beaming in and I was playing music to calm me down.

Zack came in and laid down next to me and placed his arm under my neck and faced me.

"You okay?" He asked. "I don't know, I'm just so mad at Derek, but I feel like I'm a little too mad at him." I said.

"Hey, just remember that Lily is okay, she is alive, and breathing." He said. I nodded.

He kissed my for head. "You should take a nap cause you got like no sleep last night." He said. "That seems like a really good idea right now." I said.

I shut my eyes and I eventually fell asleep.
