20. The Boardwalk

Zack bent over and I jumped onto his back. We walked a little and then I jumped off when we got to Tangy Mangos.

We all ordered our regular stuff and soon left. We were all walking towards the amusement park at the end of the boardwalk. I was hanging back, behind everyone. Zack, Mitch and Derek were all watching everyone else.

Jack stopped and waited till I caught up. "Do you want to explain what happened earlier?" He asked me.

I stopped so we'd be a little further from the group. "Okay. So do you remember we all slept in tents last night, right?" "Yeah."

"Well, I couldn't sleep, so I went and took a swim, it was like around 1:30 I think. Then Derek came out and joined me in the pool. We sat at the mini pool bar and he chugged down a beer, then split one with me. We were talking about Cat and why they broke up and stuff. Then we swam and climbed to the top of the waterfall. Then he asked about Zack and I if we were official, and I said 'I'm not really sure, like he never really asked me out. Like we act like we are but it's not really official. Plus I like just met him like four days ago.' Then Derek said, 'so it's okay if I do this.' And then he kissed me and I could react. BUT, I pulled away from him. I told him we couldn't do this because I could possibly get kicked out. So then today, he said that he wanted us together. And he said he was going to move out. And I said he couldn't. Then he kissed me. I pushed away and walked upstairs."

"So it wasn't you who kissed him first?" Jack asked. "No, not at all." I said.

"Avalon, if he tries anything with you. Seriously, tell me." "I will, thanks kiddo." I said while messing up his hair.

The group turned to be on the beach. I walked with Jack and we all sat down. I took my seat next to Zack and he swung his arm around me.

My phone started to ring. I checked to see Officer Nicole calling. I instantly smiled and picked up.

Avalon// NICOLE!
Nicole// AVALON! How have you been?! I haven't heard from you in a while.
Avalon// Actually I need to talk to you about something, just hold on a second.

"Hey guys, I'm going go to the bathroom." I said. I got up and walked. Instead of going to the bathroom, I walked to where there was a bench.

Avalon// Nicole?
Nicole// What's up hun?
Avalon// Wait. Nicole. I was just going to tell you Derek and his girlfriend broke up, I'm dating my ex tutor, and everything is going amazing.
Nicole// Honey, you're tone when you said you needed to speak to me about something, scared me.
Avalon// Sorry...
Nicole// Well I gotta get back to my shift, talk to you soon!
Avalon// You too!

I hung up. So what happened, was I was going to tell Nicole about Derek, and the kiss. But she's a police officer.

If she found out, she would've had to take me out of the orphanage. "Damn it."

I went back to the beach and we were all ready to start walking to the arcade and the mini amusement park.

About 6 more minutes and we got there, all the bright lights of the rides were lit, and the carnival was just amazing.

"Jack, Mitch, Logan, How about you guys watch everyone else and go around, you brought money, so go and meet back here in an hour or an hour and a half, text me if you need anything." All the kids ran to all the games and rides. Morgan and Jeremy went wandering around with each other. Ahh, relationships.

"Derek, you just wanna hang with us?" Zack asked him. "Nah, imma go scout." He said smirking. Then I noticed by 'scout' he meant look for girls...

Derek walked away and Zack knelt down and I sat on his shoulders. I took out my phone and started to to take pics of the lights and the Ferris Wheel.

"So what do you wanna do?" Zack asked. "I sort of just wanna go around, look at the places and games and stuff. Zack, remember it's my first time here." I said laughing.

"RIGHT. I TOTALLY FORGOT." He said and laughed. We just walked around and eventually bought cotton candy.

I jumped off of his back and just started walking around. I ran into a house of mirrors, and obviously took a ton of mirror pics with Zack, because that's the type of girl I am.

"Damn it, I should've vlogged today, it would've been a good day to." I said frowning.

"Well tomorrow, well go out again. Just you and I. Alright?" Zack said putting his arm around me. "Yeah." I said kissing his cheek.

I posted the pic of the Ferris wheel and tagged everyone.

About an hour later, we met up to walk home. As we were walking out of the carnival, a guy bumped straight into me with a smoothie in his hand.

I fell over and had his smoothie spilt all over me, he then fell on top of me.

"Gosh, sorry. I wasn't paying attention." He said. I looked up at his blue eyes. I looked at his face, and it hit me. It shocked me. I nervously said...
