41. Plane ride

When we got on the plane, it was about 6:10, I literally saw a bunch of guys, probably all going to the tournament like we were. Our team made our way up to first class.

It was weird because first class is usually filled with business people, and we are like forced to shut up.

But since it was filled with only the team, we were extremely loud.

Our "seats" were legit mini beds, you could actually fit two people in one seat. I tried to put my bags up in the mini storage, but because of my major shortness, it was hard for me.

Nolan took my suitcase and put it up there and laughed. I kept my phone and my book back by my side.

Some announcements were made and we were told to buckle our seat belts.

I did, and I watched us lift up. Of course I took a video of it. When we were finally up in the air, we were told we were able to walk freely, and I unbuckled my belt.

"Mind if I sit next to you?" Nolan asked. "Nope not at all." I said.

"Would you like to watch a movie?" I asked. Nolan nodded and scooted next to me.

I pulled out the tv and clicked to movies. I was surprised that recent movies were on it, and since Nolan and I both haven't seen Divergent yet, we watched it.

I pulled in my own headphones, and handed the right ear to Nolan. I took turned towards Nolan and leaned my head on him.

To tell the truth, I was so tired that I fell asleep while watching Divergent. About an hour later I woke up with Nolan's arms wrapped around me.

I took my phone and took a picture out the window. I posted it on Instagram and tagged literally everyone on the team, even coach.

I captioned it, New York I'm coming home... Temporarily.

All of my friends from New York started to comment. Nolan said the hotel we were staying at, and our home town were only 45 minutes away from each other.

Today's my only chance to see everyone, so after we settle in the hotel, Nolan and I are renting a car for the day and driving down to our home town.

It was about 7:30 and we had about five more hours.

Nolan took out a deck of cards and we both sat up and played Black Jack, with no money though.

Of course I won, because I'm somewhat luckier than him.

This plane ride was honestly so boring, Jackson started to play Eminem and as the type of person I am, I rapped to every single song.

It was fun, it pretty much felt like team bonding or something like that.

Instead of all sitting down in our beds. We fit about four people on my bed, four on the bed next to mine and four others on the other bed next to mine, and we all talked as a team.

We stacked a bunch or our pillows under us, so we could see over the walls separating us.

"So you guys got to know me on the bus, now I get to know all of you on the plane, we've got like 2 and a half more hours." I said smiling.

For about two hours, I got to know a lot about them.

For the last thirty minutes, I just sat in my bed with Matt and we talked.

"My brothers said hey, and they wanted me to give this to you." He handed me a picture frame of them and their current family.

"They look so happy." I said smiling. "Well you helped out with putting those smiles on their faces." He said.

For the rest of the flight I pretty much just listened to music and talked with Matt. We then had to buckle our seat belts and landed.

When we landed, first class was escorted off first. As the white girl I am, I took a picture of my feet and luggage on the airport floor, posted it an captioned.

I'm back -A, obviously with Pretty Little Liars references.

The team and I walked off and out of the airport and got onto a bus that would take us to our hotel. The hotel wasn't far from the airport, and it was a legit five star hotel, it was beautiful.

Two rooms were connected through a mini hall way but we got the presidents suites so they were on the highest level, which was the 16th, and in instead if two small rooms connected, we had three huge rooms were connected, and coach slept in the room across from the president suites.

I was in the room with Nolan, Jackson, Matt, and Ryder. There were three beds so I chose to sleep on the couch.

"Avalon, let's rent a car and head to our hometown." I jumped up and we ran down to the elevators and then went to rent a car.

We drove down town and to the police station to surprise Nicole. Nolan walked in with me. All the police officers said hey to me and hugged me.

I saw Nicole in her office and I instantly smiled. I walked in and Nicole smiled.

"Avalon! You made it!" She said hugging me.
