16. Game time pt 2

"LETS GO GUYS, GAME TIME!" Coach yelled. Zack and I ran into the dug out and took a seat. "We are going out in the field first, Avalon you're catching for the first inning." He said.

We all ran out onto the field. Zack was pitching and Derek was at 1st. Zack and I got a few good pitches in.

"Batter up!" The umpire said. A guy from the other team stepped up and winked at me.

I rolled my eyes and fixed my catchers helmet. A few pitches later we struck him out.

*7th and last inning*

We were up by 6. I hit an RBI double which I'm proud of and I hit a single home run. So today's been good, so far.

It was the bottom of the last inning. So we pretty much already won. But throughout the entire game, the guys have taunted me. Saying that I wasn't to good enough for baseball. This entire game I felt like I proved well enough, but they were pulling my strings which made me think it wasn't enough

I wanted to prove them wrong. With three runners on base, I stepped up to home plate.

The pitcher let out a little laugh and a smirk. Zack, Derek, and a guy name John were on base, taking their leads.

"Hey hun, how bout after the game we go have a tea party." The pitcher said. "Yeah and you could wear your pretty pink dress!" I said. His smirk went to a straight face. "You know, I think that's just a grand idea." I said and laughed.

He looked around at the basemen and shook his head and laughed, he seemed kind of pissed but hey, if he's got words to say, I do too.

He then pitched and was a strike. He laughed and the catcher tossed the ball back. The second pitch was right in my area. I took a strong swing and I felt the contact.

I surprisingly hit it over the fence. I threw my fist in the air and everyone cheered, well except for the guys on the other team.

When I got to home plate the team congratulated me. We then lined up to shake hands and I can say that not one guy looked me in the eye.

I walked over to the pitcher. "Hey, how about we cancel our little tea party, my team and I are going out and celebrating. So you could set out your pretty pink dress for next time." I said and smiled.

"Fuck off you mother fucker." He said to me. "HUDSON, FOUR LAPS AROUND THE FIELD, THAT IS NO WAY TO TREAT ANY PLAYER." His coach yelled.

He made a gross noise and started running. "If any of y'all got words like that to say Avalon, just go join Mr. Hudson out there." Their coach said. "Thank you." I said to him.

"Anytime, and great game today." He said and smiled.

As we were cleaning up, I was thinking about Derek and if I should bring up the thing on the video.

It was about 6:30 and we were all sitting in the house. I rushed upstairs and took a quick shower. I dried my hair and brushed it out. I put on my glasses, shorts, a loose crop top, my black converse and I put on my sweater because it was cold in the house.

I walked downstairs. "Hey everyone, where's Derek?" "Up in his room." Logan said. I walked up stairs and knocked on his door. "What?" He said.

"It's Avalon, can I come in?" He got up and unlocked the door. He went and sat on his bed on his laptop. "What's up?" He asked.

"Did-" I was cut off by my phone. It was Morgan.

Avalon// Hey whats up?
Morgan// Can you come pick me up, we are all done now.
Avalon// Yeah, sure, be there in a few.

She hung up. "I have to go pick up Morgan." I said. "I'll come with." He said. "No, you stay home and cook dinner for the kids." I said, he nodded. "Promise?" I asked. "Yeah." He said. "Derek." "Avalon, I promise."

I rushed downstairs and started my car and drove to the mall. When I got there, I rolled down the window. "Hey Morg!" I yelled. She waved. "Oh, bye Jeremy." She said.

They hugged and I laughed a little. Was that what I was like? She got in and buckled her seat belt. She was blushing like crazy. "You alright?" I asked her smiling. "Yeah." She said.

We drove home and when we got there I saw Zack's car out front. "So how's you and Zack?" She asked me. "I don't know, I've only known him for like three to four days, and I'm already dating him." I said. "And?" Morgan asked.

"I don't know it just feels wrong that we didn't get to know each other more." "THEN GO ON A DATE WITH HIM." She yelled. "Well you know, the last time I went on a date with him, one of you ended up in a hospital."

I got out, locked the car and Morgan followed. "Well this time, we'll order pizza." She said. I smiled at her and opened the door and we walked in. "Ayee, there are my girls." Zack said smiling.

He got up and kissed me. "Hey." I said smiling. Derek had a weird disapproving face again. We went and sat in the living room.

For some reason my twitter started blowing up. All of my followers were tweeting at me. I instantly knew what happened. I jumped out of bed and ran upstairs and got my laptop. I grabbed it and ran downstairs. "Avalon, what happened?" Mitch asked me.

I opened up and looked at my youtube and it said I hit one million subscribers. I started screaming and everyone started to dance and it was funny. "How about we all go camping in the backyard?" I asked. "Derek call Cat over!" I yelled. "She's busy today." He said. "Well she would come over at whatever time."

We all ran to the back yard, Zack and Derek got both ten person tents out as Logan, Mitch, and Jack set up the fire. It was about 8:30 and we turned on the lights in the pool and the lights pointing at the backyard.

We all changed into our bathing suits. "Oh I'm going to go out and buy stuff for s'mores." I said. "I'll come with." Derek said. "Zack can you stay and watch the kids?" He nodded.
