"Avalon! It's 6 o'clock! Let's head to Derek's game!" Michelle yelled. She let my drive the van today.

I got in the front seat and everyone jumped into the van. I pulled out of the drive way and drove to Pinkstone Park.

When we got there I parked near the baseball field. "Avalon drives better than you mom." Eli said out loud. "AGREED!" Everyone said out loud and I laughed.

We all walked to the field. Derek's coach said hi to all of us one by one until he got to me. "Well hey, new addition?" He asked. "Yup!" I said smiling. "Whats your name?" He asked me. "Avalon."

"Play any sports?" He asked me. "Softball and volleyball." I said. "Great choices." He said laughing. "Nice to meet you but I should get back to coaching!" He said. "Bye!" I said as he walked away.

I took a seat on the highest bleacher next to Lily and Thomas. Next to Lily was Morgan and next to Thomas was Logan. My eye skimmed the field and I saw Zack at 3rd base. He waved at me and I waved back.

"Is there something going on with you and your tutor?" Morgan asked me. The four of them looked at me. "Guys seriously. I met him this morning." I said looking at them.

Logan gave me an eyebrow lift. "And there's the famous 'Logan face.'" Morgan said and laughed. Michelle looked at us and smiled, then Eli, Jack, and Mitch came and sat in front of me. I looked down at the field and Derek and all his friends were staring at us. I took my sweatshirt off because it got way too hot.

It sucked for Derek's team, because only 9 people and his coach showed up for the game today. So if someone gets hurt, they're going to have to play with 8.

Our team was out on the field first. The thing about me, is that I get really into the games. Even if I'm not playing.

It was the bottom of the seventh inning. The score was 1-0. We were loosing.

Derek was up to bat. The pitcher pitched and it his Derek straight in the rib. "UMP, COME ON. HE DID THAT ON PURPOSE!" I yelled. Derek was on the ground. Mitch pulled me down and laughed from how into it I got.

I ran down to the dugout. Then out to the field to Derek couldn't stand up. His teammates ran out and brought him into the dugout.

I gave the pitcher a look. He laughed at me. "Coach put me in the game. Now. Derek give me your jersey, your hat, your slider, and your baseball bat." I said.

Everyone just stared at me. I knew I was crazy, but I had a sense of anger in me for some reason.

"Avalon, you're not wearing cleats." He said to me. "This is varsity, not the MLB, we don't need and special shoes." I said. "Well then, go get out quick." Coach said. I can't believe their coach let me in, I guess he was just desperate.

Derek looked at me for a quick second like I was crazy. "Derek." I said. He took off his jersey and handed it to me. I tied the back of it with an extra hair tie because it was long, I slid on his slider, put on his batting glove and took his bat.

"We're going to lose." Someone from the team said.

Everyone was up against the fence. I hate how the umpire didn't let me walk. Because he was hit. There were 2 strikes and 1 ball.

The pitcher smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and got in my batting stance. The first pitch came and it was a curve, but it was a ball.

Derek's team were all on their feet, not making one noise, they were so focused on me and how I'm most likely going to strike out.

The pitcher laughed, and the ball seemed right in my area. There were two others on base. I at least need to tie the game.

The ball was in my range and I swung, I felt the contact of the ball on the bat. I followed through and started running. I got to first and stopped. Everyone was cheering.

Everyone on the other team were all shocked, their jaws were touching the ground. "What are you doing?" The first base coach said. "You hit a home run..." He said smiling at me. "Really?!" I yelled. "Now go!" He yelled.

I started to run, my team kept cheering. Logan, Thomas, and all of the others were yelling my name. They all ran out to home base and huddled around me.

We then went into the dugout, everyone high-fived me. "Girls got game." Zack said to me. "Alright." He said shaking my hand and smiling.

Derek didn't say anything to me. I took his jersey off and threw it to him. I then put on my muscle tee. I took off his batting glove and slider and the threw those at him. I took my hair out of the pony tail and put my glasses on. All the guys were looking "Well damn." Coach said as I walked out of the dugout.

They took a quick time out and checked up Derek and he was back up on his feet to finish the game.

"No problem." I said shaking his hand and smiling. I walked back to where my fam-. My family, was sitting.

My family. Those words ran through my mind. My family.

When I sat down with them they all highfived me. "Dang Avalon, I didn't think you were that good..." Jack said to me.

"Well next time, don't assume." I said hugging them.

The game ended and I started to walk to the car. Everyone got in. "Zack just sit in the shotgun." Michelle said to Zack. "Alright." He got in.

"You're driving?" He asked me. "Yup and you're going to die." I said smiling. He laughed. "You're coming home with us?" I asked him, he nodded.

"Is everyone in? Can we go?" I asked. "Where's Derek?" Lily asked. "He's out with his girlfriend at her volleyball game." She said.

"Alright then let's go." I said. I started to drive home.

When we got there. Zack went to the bathroom and took a shower and I went into my room and took a shower.

When I went out, I dried my hair and reapplied my mascara, I put on my glasses. I put on a white crop tee, and black jean shorts, I put on my converse. "Hey Michelle, can I go to the volleyball game? I wanna check out the team." I asked her while walking downstairs.

"Sure but I can't drive you." She said. "I'll go with her, show her the way to the gym." Zack said. "Alright." Michelle said.

Logan gave me the look again.

I got in the jeep and Zack went behind the front wheel. We drove to the gym which was only ten minutes away. When we got to the gym we saw Derek. Zack and I sat on the opposite side of the gym.

The game was almost done, but I was just wanted to see a little part of the game. When the game ended, I drove home with Zack and Derek. When we got home, we all sat at the table, and ate dinner.

I got to my room, and sat on the windowsill. I took my Nikon camera and took some photos of the view. I then took a picture from my phone and sent it to Nicole. A few minutes later I changed into my pajama shorts and my sweatshirt and then went to sleep.
